Re: Design a Boss | ZU Connection

You can find my Poem in the Art and Writing section for backstory on Azrael himself.
http://www.zeldauniverse.net/forums/...31-azrael.html

Link’s Quest: Well, it all led up to this. After defeating Mercury in the Dampwood Shrine, Link had to navigate 4 worlds, and in those, 36 mandatory dungeons. First, it started with Link’s quest for the 8 Pendants to gain the Master Sword. Afterwards, he navigated the perils of Hyrule Castle, overtaken by a powerful force. It turns out that the force was Ganon, go figure. After his defeat, he states how his mission was a success, as he laughs away. Link finds Zelda in the next room, and a portal to another world. This led to the Dark World, where the enemies are tougher, and more evil. Here, he gathered the eight keys, in order to unlock the Pyramid of Power. Here he fought Vaati. After Vaati’s defeat, he was warped to the Shadow World. Everything was inverse here. Link made his way to Dark Hyrule Castle, after gathering the Oracle spirits, where he fought against Dark Link. After Dark Link’s defeat, Link warped to Dark Shadow World, where he learns something striking. Each world is a different time of Hyrule, only ten years apart. Azrael is behind this all, so Link has to make his way through the Dark Shadow World, and finally, he reaches the Black Pyramid. The fight is against Dark Mercury. After finally destroying him, Link is able to warp to the final point, the Nova World, the last era of Hyrule.

Azrael... the final boss of my fan-game The Legend of Zelda: Heroes of Light... and he's powerful. Well, first off, Azrael is pretty human at first look, but a closer look shows that he's anything but. Azrael ended the world, so to speak. Luckily, our hero arrives via time portal, to the last era of Hyrule. All is destroyed... there's just one floating bit of rock, and upon that, a great tower, known as the Nova Tower. At the very top, lies the great godlike Azrael, a master of magic, and of shadow. A demonic foe, Azrael seeks his revenge on the world, and he gets it. However, if Link can destroy Azrael, he can restore the world by means of time and the Triforce.

Conditions: Link has all required items. The items needed to destroy Azrael are as follows: Master Sword, Bombs, Hammer, Ice Rod, Hookshot, and Roc's Feather.

"So... you managed to reach this era... it doesn't matter, though. For soon... you will taste my fury like others have. Your journey has been all for naught."

THE HARBRINGER OF DESTRUCTION
AZRAEL

FORM 1

Arena: Nova Tower Top: Lined with tile, and pillars, enclosed by walls, it gives an ancient feel.

Appearance: Hair as white as bone, a cloak black as the night, ripped and tattered, red demonic eyes, a human appearance.

Attacks: Note that all attacks are shadow-based.

Fireball Barrage: Fireballs come from Azrael at all sides, and fire with great wrath.

Shadow Fury: Azrael breathes in deeply, and blasts of shadow fire from Azrael's hands, and after hitting a wall or Link, it explodes, and 8 fireballs come from the blast in separate directions.

Vanish: After finishing an attack, there's a 50% chance Azrael might vanish into the ground, leaving a black hole, which slowly deteriorates, and when he does so, be prepared. For up he comes, armed with two shadowy spheres, after which, he makes a shockwave, if Link is hit, he'll be knocked into one of the walls, so jump over it with Roc's Feather!

Strategy:

Link must wait for a vanish attack, after which, he must jump over the shockwave, and attack with the Master Sword. Why would this have to work? Azrael is a master of magic, and as such, he can protect himself from Link when not occupied with an attack that requires full focus. Azrael is unable to move after using the shockwave, due to its immense power. If Link repeats the process enough times, Azrael is done for... or so you think...

Azrael dissolves into a wisp of shadow, and his voice echoes:
"Silly fool... it's not that easy!"

The arena shakes... as the pillars fall down, the tile cracks, and shadow flashes, and when it clears, form 2 begins.

FORM 2

Arena: Destroyed Nova Tower Top: Now the pillars fall down, and there are noticeable cracks, also, there is fire around the area. Azrael’s second form takes up a lot of the arena.

Appearance: Well, Azrael has gained a more demon-like form, with great muscle, and the fact that he’s twice your size, it may cause some intimidation. His hair is gone, replaced with two big horns, and his hands are claws. He’s ready for more carnage.

Attacks: Now his attacks are slightly more deadly, be quick on your feet!

Slash: Azrael might slash at Link when he’s near the hero. This deals some serious damage, so be alert!

Fire Breath: Azrael might open his mouth, pause, and spew fire out of it. If he does this, flame will spread throughout the area. Unless you want to get hit, dodge it!

Ram: Azrael may lower his head if he’s too far away. After this, he’ll rush at Link, and if it’s a hit, Link will be stuck between the horns, and then, he’ll be tossed into the air, and sliced with Slash.

Strategy:

Now, wait for the fire breath attack. When Azrael opens up, throw a bomb into his mouth. There will be an explosion, and Azrael will fall on the ground, so slash away. Why would this have to work? Azrael would normally fend off attacks with his claw, due to his automatic slash attack if Link comes. While he’s stunned, he won’t have any control. It shouldn’t take too much repeating of the process before Azrael’s second form falls.

Finally, after doing this, the door opens, and the Triforce is revealed. Link goes over to pick it up, and finally, the boss ends.

Now, Link escapes from Nova tower using the portal, and as the tower collapses, there’s only one small island left in the world with the tower gone.

A voice comes from the Triforce: “Link, you have saved all of Hyrule from the clutches of evil. Thank you.”

But, Azrael’s bruised and battered demon form shows up. “Heh… ha ha ha…” Azrael appears as if to laugh. “You thought this was over… but it’s not…” With that, the Triforce suddenly turns black, and it’s shadow energy absorbs into Azrael.

“Fool…”

Azrael gains his energy back, and he gains great demonic wings.

“It’s OVER…”

FORM 3

Arena: Nova Tower Island: This place is a chunk of rock suspended in gravity. It’s the only thing left of the world of the future day.

Appearance: Azrael Demon has grown fangs, and great demonic wings. This is going to be difficult, as he is now in the air the entire time.

Attacks: Azrael now has some brand new attacks to pummel you with. These are hectic attacks at that.

Meteor Volley: Azrael will toss meteors down upon you. These are double the size of Link, and they explode on contact with the ground. Ah, and did I mention they’re encased in flame?

Whip of Shadow: Azrael will shoot his arm out to grab Link, if it’s a success, Azrael will do a shuttle loop in the air, and toss Link onto the floor, doing massive damage.

End of Day: Azrael will create a huge slow-moving ball of fire, and toss it at Link. If it hits, Link will take even more damage.

Strategy: When End of Day is used, use the Ice Rod on it, and it will freeze, falling to the floor. From here, use the hammer to chip away at the sphere, and it will break, revealing a ball of light. Throw this at Azrael, and he’ll fall to the ground. Hit him with your Master Sword. Repeat this, and Azrael’s demon form will be done.

You won, or did you? Azrael appears to die, but, then, suddenly, Azrael turns black. Azrael is now in skeletal form, and he’s twice the size he was before. He also has a new mask. Get ready for the final boss fight of the game!

FORM 4

Arena: Nova Lava Island: Now the ground underneath Azrael has turned to magma, this is half of the arena that’s magma. He’ll be in it for the fight, so be alert!

Appearance: Now Azrael Winged Demon is down to his bare-bones, literally! His bones are charred as well, in addition to being quadruple the size of his human form. Also, it’s key to note that Azrael has a horned mask. He’ll be a rough boss.

Attacks: Azrael’s attacks now use his size to his advantage, and since he’s in a pool of lava, he won’t move at all.

Flame Whip: Azrael takes out a whip of flame, and swings at Link. If it hits, Link will be spun around, and released to be smacked into the floor.

Black Lightning: If shadow forms beneath Link’s feet, run away! Black Lightning will strike at the hero, and if it hits, Link will be shocked and stunned, leaving him susceptible to another attack.

Fire Twister: If Azrael gets to the middle of the fight, he might start spinning around in the magma. If this happens, fireballs will start moving around him like a tornado. Then, they’ll all fly at Link!

Grab: If you get too close to Azrael, he will grab you, pulling you up over the lava. At this point, he’ll throw you upward, claw you multiple times before you can react, and finally, he’ll punch you into the ground. Ouch.

Fire Beam: Azrael’s mouth may open at some point during the fight. After this, Azrael will lower his head into the magma, and he’ll unleash a devastating beam of fire, dealing tons of damage! He’ll rotate the beam around the arena. You’ll need Roc’s Feather.

End of Time: Azrael now has a stronger version of End of Day. When he uses this, a huge shadow appears over the arena. Run to an area where there isn’t a shadow! After finding an area, a huge meteor collides with the ground. Upon hitting the ground, the End of Time will turn into four small meteor chunks, which bounce right off the arena.

Strategy: Actually, this is a long and hard battle. First off, wait for Azrael to use End of Time, and finally, when it is used and the meteor shatters, find a meteor chunk, and freeze it with the Ice Rod. Use the Hammer (while dodging Azrael’s miscellaneous attacks). When the meteor is shattered by the Hammer, a ball will appear. This is different however, for the ball will flash between white and black every second. If you grab the ball while it’s black, it will fly to Azrael, healing him. If you grab the ball while it’s white, throw it at Azrael. It will knock him down over the arena. After this, use the Hammer to chip away at his mask. After repeating the cycles a few times, Azrael’s mask will be shattered, revealing a demon skull. Now Azrael may use Fire Beam. Throw a bomb at him, and he’ll start flashing. Use the Hookshot to pull Azrael over, and slash away! After repeating a few times, Azrael will restore his mask. This time however, there are three Azrael heads in the lava. All of them use the same attack, three times in a row! If one Azrael uses black lightning, the other two will do the same. Now, when End of Day is used, all three Azraels put energy into it, after which, it flies down. Upon hitting, three of the four meteor chunks will actually be blue, meaning you can’t do anything with them. One however, can be frozen and thrown at an Azrael. Each Azrael is an individual boss, and you have to destroy all of them! After an Azrael’s mask has been destroyed, they’ll retreat into the lava. Destroy every mask, and they’ll all come back up without masks. As usual, wait for a Fire Beam to come. Throw a bomb at an Azrael of your choice, and dodge the other two Fire Beams with Roc’s Feather. Slash a few times, and one will finally be defeated. Do the same with the other two, and finally, Azrael will say his last words.

“No… I’ve… been… defeated…? Gragh… I... failed?”

Now, explosions occur all over Azrael, and finally, he turns white, and explodes.

Aftermath: The Triforce flies out, waiting for Link to grab it. As soon as he does, suddenly, the ground falls. During the fall, the Triforce grants Link’s wish, that is… for Hyrule to be saved from this future. Now, Link wakes up back in his own time, in his hometown of Yewfall, and he finds no monsters on the road, and the villagers happy, as Link meets back up with his friends, and as the camera leaves Link, we find a statue of the hero, fighting Azrael, lying in the center of the town.

Laktu: Lord of Destruction

Laktu: Lord of Destruction
Background
During Gannondorf’s rise to power, Laktu was his rival. A Hylian orphan adopted by the Gerudo’s challenged Gannondorf’s claim to power. Gannondorf had trouble with Laktu, and made him his second in command. This assuaged the man’s greed and envy but never really subdued it.
It wasn’t until Gannondorf obtained the Triforce that Laktu truly accepted Gannondorf as his master. At this time Laktu was given the duty of breaking and torturing the prisoners taken by the armies of Gerudo. He was feared by the army for his methods of turning enemy soldiers and twisting their minds. Gannondorf had transferred powers to Laktu granting him the ability to enter minds, altering reality and creating hallucinations on his victims. This caused Laktu’s weakness, his eyes. If struck squarely in his eyes he becomes helpless. From then on Laktu wore a helmet that protects his eyes.
Laktu was sent to the Phantom realm to protect the final crystal. He trusted Laktu because he would protect it to his death. The final crystal also had power to destroy Ganondorf’s most powerful magical attack. Laktu hoped to use this and the other crystals to take Gannondorf’s throne away.
Dungeon: Phantom Realm
This is the final dungeon before going to face Ganon. It is filled with beasts that normal arrows have no effect on. The Master Sword is the only effective weapon until you obtain the temples weapon. In fact it is not a real weapon but a new power.
A headband, which, when worn you are able to attack the Ghosts and spirits that occupy this temple. Arrows and the Master sword are both effective against these monsters. This headband also lets you see magical traps.
Boss Battle: Laktu
The battle begins with a cut scene of Laktu studying a blue crystal, the fifth and final. He is reading his books intently as Link Approaches. As soon as is within striking distance, Laktu puts his head down to concentrate. Link has a vision flashing through his head of his village burning and his friends dying. Link comes back to reality with the Triforce glowing on his hand. He is kneeling on the ground while Laktu stands above him smirking. The Headband protected Link from the full effects of Laktu’s powers, but the attack still hindered Link.
The room is now darkened with only one spot of light. Laktu speaks. “You think you have what it takes, Hero? With this final crystal, I can vanquish the Dark Lord. And you have been kind enough to deliver the remaining pieces of the puzzle to me. Give them to me, I will vanquish Ganon.”
Link springs up swinging the Master Sword. He jumps forward, but Laktu brings up a short blade hidden beneath his robes to block Link’s attack. Laktu then closes his eyes invading Link’s mind again. This time Links sees the Master sword in Ganon’s hand, ready to be swung. Link forces himself back to reality. He realizes that after the first Vision the headband had slipped off his brow.
“Young fool. You never had a chance from the beginning. I will defeat Ganon and take his place.” Link reaches over to resettle the headband upon his forehead.
Laktu’s mind attack now doesn’t incapacitate Link, but it does reverse his directions. If Link tries to run left, he goes right. Forward is backward. Etc. this makes it very difficult to defeat Laktu. Laktu fights with magic which can be dodged. The shield is ineffective. He also summons ghosts that attack you. He moves very quickly but after hitting him several times with a sword the helmet comes off, exposing his eyes. Laktu now teleports around the room firing mind attacks at Link. These have to be hit with your sword and then shot with an arrow to make them disappear. If the attack hits you 10 monsters spawn and Link is paralyzed like after using the spin attack too much. After the mind attack is vanquished you must shoot Laktu in the eyes. This must happen 3 separate times.
Defeat:
After Laktu is defeated he falls to the ground the crystal falling from his hands. It rolls to Link’s feet where it is picked up. While link is examining the crystal, Laktu crawls to his knees bowing to Link.
“You have defeated me. I submit to you. Slay the Dark Lord with this final crystal. My life is spent, you must carry on the fight. Kill Ganondorf!”
Laktu then falls over and dies. In his open hand lies a heart container.

My guess is that that would depend on the form that they give you the download the game.

Not sure if this is what your looking for but here's a PMed question:

It definitely doesn't have to fall under the plot, but also you can change some stuff to fit your boss.

Making it 'hard to dodge' would be much more acceptable as it would make the boss a challenge and have people talking about it.

well theres you're guys' reviews! hope that didn't make me sound like a know it all (now that i look at it) and would like some reviews too.
i fixed that. the attacks are now just "hard to dodge". now that i think about it, not my best idea.

The best thing to do is to come up with a name of your own. It doesn't always have to deal with what the boss is capable of, but if it works for you go ahead. Like some of the bosses have names that deal with their power, Stalrex(undead skeleton, stal prefix) while there's others like Falis (a tiger with armor) so shot for any name, the sky's the limit!

Ignitor of hate, Dareios

Dareios once was an honorable man. He fought in many battles, and defended huryle. In all these years, he got more rich, the treasury was growing in size, and Dareios became more greedy. He wandered around deserts and snowy mountains, try to find more and more gold and get more and more jewels.

In his adventures, he came across a creature named Traikan. Traikan was The great lord of lava, living in his volcanic island. Dareios came across him, and asked him, did he knew any of the more riches to come. Traikan showed him his big collection, deep in the volcano. Dareios did try to get it, but he couldn't he went to it. When Traikan saw he was trying to see it, he was filled with anger.

Dareios did have nothing more than the Andel, great sword forged in the fires of volcano. When he was escaping, that dropped in the lava. With his inhuman strenght, he picked it, it was glowing in red. He slayed Traikan with it. He forged a stone pillar where he lived, eating all the animals who were climbing on the mountains. He was covered with magma armor, was in the size of three humans, and had a fiersome look.

Arena is a large round stone pillar, with spots where lava rises from it.

Bosses attacks are:
Punch (1 heart) Most basic attack, knocks you of a little. Dodgeable.

Slash (2 hearts) Very powerful attack where the boss slashes you with his huge sword. Possible to dodge.

Fiery breath (1½ hearts, suffers ½ heart drainage if stays in flames) Shoots a blast of fire at you, be quick on your feet.

You have to smack the crackling points of the bosses armor and hit them with hammer. Hit the spots while the boss is doing fiery breath. Slash when armor is dropped the part of body with hammer. Repeat 3-4 times, and the magma armor of the boss comes of.

You now reveal the quicker and more agile boss. Now you have to hit him to his head when he punches. When he has fallen, grab his sword and hit him him once to the head. Repeat this two times, and you'll win Dareios, master of fire. It isn't over yet. The volcano has lost it balance, and you have to run up along the sides of it, before the lava rises tos surtant point. From the lava rises the heart container, and you can pick second of two natural forces, fire.

E: Not the most difficult boss, for the second boss of the game.

Re: Design a Boss | ZU Connection

Thelkmar the Hydromancer

-Past-

“A long, long time ago, there was a kingdom called Hyrule/in the kingdom of Hyrule, there existed seven sages; The light sage Rauru, the forest sage Saria, the fire sage Darunia, the water sage Ruto, the shadow sage Impa, the spirit sage Nabooru and the seventh sage was Princess Zelda. The sages, excluding Zelda, each protected six temples, made for their respective elements/powers.
The temples however, was not always protected by the sages alone. For instance, the water temple had other protectors. An order of water priests came to the temple, where we settled down. The water sage Ruto, allowed us to stay, but only as long as we vowed to protect the water temple from its enemies. Our leader, the high priest Thelkmar, agreed to this demand and made every priest who were a member of our order vow that we would protect the water temple for all eternity.”

-Miniboss 1, after Link defeat him. He rewards you with the extra long hookshot(s)/clawshot(s).

“It was then, the king of darkness, Ganondorf, leader of the gerudos, took control over Hyrule. He wished to destroy the sages and take control over their temple… or something like that. Anyway, when Ganondorf came to the water temple, we stood in his way defiantly. We uphold our promise. We protected the water temple. But the king of darkness was not to happy about it, and in punishment for our defiance, we were all slaughtered like lams trying to fight a dragon. It was then that Thelkmar decided to defy Ganondorf to the very end. With his last powers, Thelkmar cast a spell which bound our dead souls to the water temple, making us an undead army of spirits, made for the sole purpose of protecting the water temple.
However, this was not such a big problem for Ganondorf, as he could just use the powers of his triforce to suppress our haunting spirits and hold us down, while he infected the water temple and cast his curse over it. For seven years our spirits was suppressed, that was into Ganondorf was sealed up by the seven sages.”

-Miniboss 2, after Link defeat him. He rewards you with a ocarina/wind waker/random instrument song/spell/whatever that summons a boat for Link to use.

“Thou we were freed from Ganondorf’s grasp, his curse still affected our spirits. The weaker of our souls turned into monstrosities. The creeps you have killed up into now, and which still roam all over this temple, are former priests of our order, turned into monsters by Ganondorf’s curse. Another effect of Ganondorf’s curse, was that we were no longer able to differ between friend and foe. Our “free” spirits, are nothing more but ghosts haunting our beloved temple, destroying everything that we look upon as enemies in our path.
This is why we thank you, Heroic [Inset player name], for freeing our cursed spirits. Since you freed us, the three Klakra brothers, the most powerful priests in our order, excluding Thelkmar, our leader, we will now grant you the weapon to cleanse Thelkmar’s soul, and free the spirits of our fallen brothers and sisters.”

-The third miniboss, after Link defeat him. The three cleansed miniboss spirits then appears and gives link the essence of the Klakra brothers. A gem that gives Link’s weapons the ability to kill/cleanse/capture incorporeal enemies.

Items that you get from the temple’s three minibosses:
(in case you do not want to read the above part)

Longer Hookshot(s)/Clawshot(s)
Song/Spell/whatever to summon a boat for Link to use
The essence of the Klakra brothers. A gem that gives Link’s weapons the ability to kill/cleanse/capture incorporeal enemies (He can already hurt some of the weaker ones, like Poes).

If you did not read the past part, he is the water temple boss

-Intro-

Link enters the boss room, which is round and got four pillars made out of rock standing in it, and one long “pole“ made out of rock right in the middle of the room. The room is huge and goes up many floors. As well as down many levels. The levels below Link is filled with water.

As Link enters the room he walks in while looking around in the room. The door then closes behind him and Link is able to hear the sound of battle. The sound of steel that clashes against steel, shouting, chanting and spells being casts can be heard for awhile, before it ends with the hearing of Ganondorf’s laugh. While hearing the sounds Link draws his sword and shield and looks around the room.
The camera will circle around Link for awhile, then suddenly it swaps to 1st person view and we see that Link look around the room. Then Link sees Thelkmar, standing on something that resembles a large crocodile in the middle of the room right when Ganondorf’s laugh start.
Thelkmar is dressed in robes, which are navy blue, and the material its made of seems to “flow” around like water. You can’t see Thelkmar’s face because of the hood on his robe, but you see the ice cold blue eyes he got. His feet are not visible cause of lather/spume/froth/foam (not sure what you call it in English) which covers his feet

“So, you are the minion that Ganondorf have sent in here. You foolishly follows the command of a commander who does not care whether his soldiers lives or dies. Don’t you know? Ganondorf sent you to your death when he sent you to face me!”
-Thelkmar before the battle begins.

-Arena-

Green = Seaweed (See part 3)
Brown = Entrance ground (See part 1)
Red Brown = Pillars and pole
Dark blue = Water
Blue = Water Cyclone (See part 2)
Teal = Maelstrom (See part 4)

-Battle, part one-
Spiders are loud.

Setting:
You only got one footing ground, the entrance ground.
Thelkmar rides on the crocodile-like thing around on the water in the room.
There are four spiders in the room, each one crawling around on the walls of their separate pillars.
Thelkmar is incorporeal.

Attacks:
Wave: Thelkmar sends a wave of water against Link, if it hits him it will deal one heart and knock him over. Unless Link wears the Iron boots by the time he get hit, then he wont take either damage or get knocked over.

Chain and bubble: Thelkmar conjures a chain and ball, only in water version. Some water is the chain and a bubble is the ball. Thelkmar will wave it around himself and attempt to hit Link with it. Link can destroy either the chain or the bubble by using a spin attack against it. This attack can damage Link in two ways:
1. If Link gets hit by the water, Link gets knocked over and loses half a heart
2. If the bubble hits Link, he gets trapped within it and loses a quarter of a heart each second. Thelkmar will starts spinning it around himself while moving around in random directions into Link either hit one of the pillars, which will make him lose 3 quarters of a heart, or the player manages to do a spin attack and destroy the bubble.

Ram: Thelkmar will order the crocodile to dash forward, attempting to ram into you. If Thelkmar hits it deals 1 heart damage, and the crocodile will attempt to bite you, and if that hits, then Link suffers another half heart lost.

Tactic:
What you need to do:
Summon the boat (You can stand in the boat and use all kinds of weapons while your In it)
Avoid Thelkmar, because you cannot harm him yet.
Sail/paddle around in the room and find the four spiders, they need to be killed.
Ohh, but its not that simple, you see, you have to kill them in a specific order. How do you find that order? Well, you could say the spiders moves in the specific order. You see, there is one spider that makes a sound while it moves, and while it moves, the other three stand still. But when it stops moving, the other three start moving, without making sound. Kill the spider that makes sound while it moves, now another spider will start moving without the other two, and while it moves it makes sound. Kill it, and repeat the process to all four spiders are dead.
Now Thelkmar is no longer incorporeal, or more specifically, not that much incorporeal that you can’t harm him using the essence of the Klakra brothers.
In this part of the battle, Thelkmar does not take many hits before he is “defeated” three hits from any weapon should be about enough.

When you deliver the round ending strike, Thelkmar will get knocked off the crocodile, which in turn will dive down under water. You can now see his face, it is scared and rotted, his nose is gone, he got a scare over one of his eyes, two others making a cross over his mouth and his hair is grey and untidy while he himself seems old. The camera will then circle a little above and around him while he starts moving his hands and chant. Suddenly the water level will start rising.

-Battle, part two-
Trouble with priests and their minions

Thelkmar’s speech:
“Hmmm, that was a clever trick I used, I commence you for figuring that out. Now, show me your strength…”

Setting:
You are now on the same level as the four water pillars.
There are four blue robe priests (similar to the minibosses and other enemies in the temple that still got their original form).
They four priests are chanting and casting spell on the pole in the middle of the room, which gets surrounded by a water cyclone.
Thelkmar flies up in the air and into the cyclone, he will now start spinning around the pole and sometimes appear to attack Link with his magic.

Attacks:
Summon: Thelkmar calls upon his priests. Smaller monsters will appear for Link to kill. Takes Thelkmar 10 seconds to finish the spell.

Water Storm: Thelkmar shoots a barrage of water “nail” to rain down on Link. Link loses one quarter of heart for each second he is under fire from this attack. Attack lasts 8 sec (so Link can lose up to 2 hearts in this round).

Call Priests: Calls for four new priests to replace the four other ones so that they might recreate the waterfall.

Conjure Sword: Thelkmar conjures a sword out of Ice and attempts to kill Link with it. He does not do any fancy attacks with it, he only attempts to slash and stab Link. A hit from his sword would cost Link half a heart.

Tactic:
There are two ways to get this done:
1. Wait for Thelkmar to appear to cast a spell on Link and use some kind of ranged weapon to damage him. This will however, take longer time as Link’s ranged weapons is not as useful and deals less damage than Link’s sword.

2. Kill the four priests which are holding up the water cyclone This is easier said than done, as the four priests are all defended by some lizard men with weapons (thou they are kind of weak). After you’ve done so the cyclone will cease to be there and Thelkmar will conjure up a sword made out of ice and attack you. Use this opportunity to damage Thelma. After awhile Thelkmar will call upon four new priests and go back to his old casting self.

Repeat the processes to you have damaged Thelkmar enough for him to give up for this round, he will signalises this to you by screaming out loudly and use magic to raise the water level yet again.

-Battle, part three-
Epic showdown

Thelkmar’s speech:
“You are indeed strong. Very well, I will face you in a battle of swords and give you a death of honour.”

Setting:
Much seaweed have now gathered around pole in the middle of the room. It is thick enough for us to stand, and fight, on.
Thelkmar will now conjure a spear made out of Ice.
The camera and control will change into “duel” mode. In which all buttons will be changed to focus on Link’s swordsmanship. This mode will also be using the wii motion plus, so it will make Link’s you decide which way to swing Link’s sword.
Ohh, and watch out, your fighting on seaweed. Some places its quite thin so you might fall through, in which case you must get up. And its also quite sloppy.

Attacks:
Jump Attack: Thelkmar will do a jump attack. Deals 2 heart damage. Can be blocked with the shield (if Link is not to close to Thelkmar) or dodged by jumping sideways, but not dodged with a back flip. Will leave Thelkmar open for a little while

Slash: Thelkmar will slash three times. Every hit deals half heart damage. Can be blocked.

Spin Attack: Thelkmar does a spin attack. Deals 1 and a half heart damage. This attack can not be blocked with shield.

Large Swing: Thelkmar will do a huge swing horizontally. If Link tries to jump to the side he will be hit, it can not be blocked by a shield. Deals 1 heart damage.

Cleave: Thelkmar tries to cleave you from above. Can’t be blocked if Link is to close to Thelkmar. Try to dodge. Deals 1 heart damage.

Disarm: Thelkmar will attempt to knock away Link’s shield and follow up with slash. Will be active if Link has blocked to often or to long.

Throw: Thelkmar throws his spear against Link and conjures a new one. Deals 1 and a quarter heart damage. Will trigger if Link runs to far away from Thelkmar.

Parry: Thelkmar’s usual defence. He parries Link’s attacks. Can be broken or avoided with Link’s sword skills.

Tactic:
Use your sword skills and the different mechanics that duel mode brings you (no, I have not thought of any) to defeat Thelkmar in this round. Ohh and remember to enchant your sword with the essence of the Klakra brothers so you can hurt Thelkmar.

This battle will end with Thelkmar falling on the “ground” and the “finish” comes up on the screen. The player press the button and “finishes” Thelkmar, who then first screams in pain before realizing; It did not hurt. He then burst into laugh and “falls” right through the seaweed. The water level will rise again and you now enter the final phase of the Thelkmar fight.

-Battle, part four-
Angry, ANGRY priest and his dragon.

Thelkmar’s speech:
“To hell with honour! To hell with fair fight! A minion of Ganondorf does not deserve such a good death anyway! Come to me, Glarma, kill this maggot! I call upon the powers of the ocean, in the water sage’s name, drown this coward! This temple will be your grave, minion of darkness!”

Setting:
The water level is now so high up that you can see the top of the pole.
Thelkmar stands on top of the pole and will cast spells from there.
Thelkmar calls upon his “crocodile” which now turns out to be MUCH larger and it got WINGS (it’s a dragon, duh!). Ohh and it’s white. Also, its incorporeal.
Thelkmar conjures up a maelstrom just to make things worse. If Link gets drawn to the middle, he will get dragged under water, he suffers half a heart damage. The dragon will attempt to follow.

Thelkmar’ Attacks:
Ice bolt: Thelkmar shoots a bolt of ice at Link, if it hits it deals half a heart damage and freezes him to suffer the freeze damage and make him a easy target for the flying raging dragon. Can be destroyed by the hookshot/clawshot. The Ice bolt also freezes water.

Water bolt: Thelkmar shoots a bolt of water at Link, it deals 1 heart damage. Can be destroyed with the sword

Ball and Chain: Remember the water chain and the bubble? It has returned once again, but this time, If Link gets trapped in it, Thelkmar will attempt to feed you to his dragon. If Link gets hit by the water chain, he gets knocked over and loses half a heart, while if the bubble hits Link, he gets trapped within it and loses a quarter of a heart each second to he either free himself using a spin attack, hit’s the wall(deals 3 quarters of heart damage)/ocean(no damage), or when the dragon swallows him(deals 1 and a half heart damage).

Dragon’s Attacks:
Devour: The dragon attempts to devour Link, dealing 1 and a half heart damage.

Grab: The dragon attempts to grab Link with its claws, dealing 1 and a quarter heart damage.

Ice Breath: The dragon breaths ice at Link, which freezes both the water and Link dealing the freezing damage and makes him an easier target for the dragons other attacks.

Note:
Ice that freezes water stays there for around 30 seconds.

Tactic:
First thing Link has to do, is get a bomb into the dragons mouth. This will not hurt the dragon but will make the dragon corporeal.
Second, Link has to use an arrow or the clawshot/hookshot at a switch in the dragons mouth. This do two things. 1. It makes a the dragon covered in a “web” which Link can use the hookshot(s)/clawshot(s) to get on to and climb in. 2. It makes the dragon able to hurt incorporeal people.
Thirdly, make your way to the neck of the dragon, when your there you play the song/cast the spell which summons your boat.
Congratulations, you have just hijacked a dragon and taken temporarily control over it. Now ram it into its master before the time is out and it shakes you off itself. When this is done you have defeated the boss.

-Epilogue-

The dragon suddenly shatters(it was an ice dragon after all) and Link falls and lands up on the pole in the middle of the room. He stands up and to his surprise he stares right into the face of an incorporeal old man, who is Thelkmar, now with his nose, his grey hair is no longer untidy and his scares are gone. His eyes are no longer cold and threatening, but rather warm and friendly. The old man smiles, before he bows to Link

“I was wrong, ohh hero of [something]. You are not one of Ganondorf’s minion. And I am deeply grateful, for by killing my cursed spirit you have made me normal and thus made me capable of reverting the evil king’s curse and lift my own spell over me and my companions. I have no reward for you but this [inset name of item that Link is collecting]. Take it, I have no use for it in the place where I-no, WE are going. The order of water priests will travel with me to the afterlife after all. Besides, I think you will have better use for the item than me. Now goodbye, hero of [something]"
Thelkmar suddenly gets horns, tails and a fork, waves at Link before descending to hell.

-End-

EDIT:
-Notes-

1) After defeating the boss, do not teleport out of the room! You see, the water level is pretty deep, and you started in the middle of the levels of the room. So, a question arrises: What is on the lower levels? The answer, treasures which are your for the taking!
2) After the boss battle, the water level will rise to the highest it was during the boss battle, and even a little higher, so you can get atop of the pole again, before lowering again to so low level that you can stand on the bottom of the room. Note that the water level rising and lowering goes in an endless loop.

Re: Design a Boss | ZU Connection

Arvagia
The
Wind Dragon

Legend
Roc is a name best known in Hyrule as a description of treasures that allow people to defy gravity. These treasures are pieces of the legendary bird Roc. After Roc’s death a temple was erected in its honor and is the location of its tomb. There is also an item quite precious to Roc when it was alive which is guarded by a vicious beast that takes the wind wherever it goes.

Description
Large 4 legged dragon with dermal plates on his back (Like a stegosaurus), long neck, horned tail, wings and a jewel on his forehead.

Location

Roc’s Temple
Tall Circular hallway with a crumbling ceiling

Items Required
Roc’s Wings: Similar to Roc’s cape except they are actual wings which magically grow out of Link’s back when equipped. They allow Link to jump at will and glide. While equipped Link can only use ranged weapons i.e. Bow, hookshot, boomerang etc…You receive them from Roc’s tomb after defeating a mini boss

Hook Shot: Standard hookshot we all know and love.

Battle
Wherever he flies the wind follows turning the room into a giant wind tunnel. He begins the fight by flying.

You must use Roc’s wings to fly after him avoiding boulders falling from the unstable ceiling. Without Roc’s wings you won’t be able to control your self.

When your in range lock on to his tail and use the hookshot to get onto him. Once your on him you must climb his dermal plates like a ladder from his tail to his head. He will try to knock you off by crashing into things; you must avoid getting hit by dodging to the left and right sides of his body.

When you reach his head Link stabs his jewel sending him crashing into the ground throwing Link off upon impact.

The battle now takes place on the floor.

He has 4 attacks on the ground.

1.Air blasts from his mouth send Link flying into walls
Dodge roll from side to side to avoid them

2.A 360 Tail swipe blows a wind slice at Link(can do this several times in row)
Use Roc’s wings to jump over the tail and/or the wind it sends at you

3.Quick snaps with his jaws
Dodge roll or stay out of his range to avoid

4.A lunging bite
Before he does this he rears back onto his hind legs and lowers his head exposing his jewel. Hookshot the jewel and Link will yank his head and smash it into the floor stunning him, then hack away at the jewel with your sword.

When he recovers he takes of again. As the fight progresses he will fly faster in the wind tunnel causing more rocks to fall and the wind to be faster. He will also do more tail swipes on the ground in succession
and fire more air blasts.

Re: Design a Boss | ZU Connection

Infenaron Lithrilian Reptile

A little History: This all began with the creation of Hyrule. Din, creating the red earth with her strong arms. Nayru, giving the spirit of law to the world with her wisdom. And Farore, producing life forms that would uphold the law with her rich soul. All seemed to have been completed, but there had been no light to illuminate the world and keep the darkness at bay. Therefore, the fourth goddess, Orda the Goddess of Light, had granted light from her own body and shown down to the world. However, all this became too great of a problem, as Orda wished not just for the world to illuminated in light, but to eliminate all darkness and bring light to all of the universe. The three other goddesses believed that there should be a balance between light and dark, otherwise none would know the law nor be able to uphold it. With the three powers combined, they sent Orda away into another realm where she could not take things into her own hands again.

Now, after over two thousand years since Hyrules creation, we find Link, a boy of 18 who lives in a village. His parents had died when he was a baby and so lived with his best friend, Ikki, and his family. He had everything that he wanted, a home, friends, and someone special to his heart. A girl named Erisa, daughter to his fighting instructor and an almost father figure to him.

After having dinner with Erisa's family, Link heads up to the hills to gaze up at the sky. There, he falls asleep, and dreams.

The dream had him atop of the hill which he was sleeping on and looking down onto his village. It was being attacked by unknown figures who were turning people into balls of light by just touching their skin. Link rushes down to save them, then he sees Erisa cornered by two of these figures. The figures were gray skinned with a yellow cover on their heads heading down to their tails behind them. Link was about to grab Erisa when all time had stopped and everything was motionless aside from Link himself. He walked around a bit to see the other chaos occuring in his dream, when from his very house came bursting through the roof a golden figure with wings. The figure shot a beam of light at Link, and sent him out of the dream, making him wake up.

Being concerned about what had happened in his dream, Link rushed down to the village. The village is abanndoned except for his friend Ikki, who is in fact not Ikki. The fake transforms into the monster in Link's dream and tries to capture Link, but Link defeats him thanks to the training by Erisa's father.

As time goes by, Link eventually discovers that he is the Hero of Time, and how Orda has returned to Hyrule. Now she doesn't just want to cover the world in light, but remove any blemish. Whether it be a murder or a simple lie, Orda would destroy the person who committed it.

Therefore, being aided by an ancient who was assigned to keep the balance of light and dark in check, Link must venture to find the six great prisons, being orbs, which kept locked up the six most dangerous beings to threaten Hyrule in the past two thousand years. With these beings' darkness released, they would have enough power to stop Orda and weaken her enough to be sealed away once again.

By the way, the creatures in Link's dream were called Lithrils.

Who: Infenaron is a giant lizard who is controlled by the Lithrils. And is used to defend the area where one of the orbs had been kept safe from the world. The beast has no eyes, but instead small white tentacle-like appendages wriggling about on the sides of its head. Infenaron also possesses a second mouth, which is inside of the first mouth, creating a second row of teeth for the monster. It is covered in gray and charcoal scales with a few hints of yellow to show that it is one of the Lithrilians who serve Orda. Infenaron has short legs, so its walking is slow, but its attacks make up for it.

Purpose of Fighting: The Lithrils have infiltrated an underground kingdom belonging to the race Trebfist's, creatures who are made entirely of rock and are skilled in the art of camoflauge and brute force combat. The creatures have been cast out and have been forced to make contact with the surface which has caused panic and mayhem for the villagers above. Link must defeat this boss in order to have the Trebfists regain their homes as well as obtain the first of the six orbs.

Place of Battle: It was the castle that the Lithrils had taken as well as occupying the living areas. They have searched high and low for the orb, breaking things and tearing walls and walkways apart. This caused lava to pour into all of the lower rooms. Lithrils are not the only creatures here though. Because of the seeping lava and lowered defenses of the castle, there have been creatures who reside in the lava appearing around the castle as well as massive underground beast with equal fire power. Infenaron has taken residence in the Throne Room of the palace. It is a domed room with the throne right in the middle of the room. The decor has been torn and/or burnt as there are now cracks with lava seeping through them. There also seems to be a moat of lava along the wall, so Link must be careful about backing up too far.

Items used to Fight: The sword is always used to battle any beast as well as the dungeons special weapon; The Bow and Arrow. It is a long-ranged weapon that can allow Link to reach switches that are out of reach or attack foes without getting too close. The arrows will be needed to get to Infenaron's delicate skin, where it is most vulnerable.

How to Fight: There are two phases to the battle, each one a different strategy that Infenaron uses to try to kill Link. Link starts off walking into the throne room, seeing the moat of lava around the room. As he nears the throne in the center of the room, the place begins to shake. Just as quickly as it started, it had ended and all was quiet again. But the quiet wouldn't last for long, for the throne along with a large chunk of the ground beneath it flew up into the air and landing in the lava moat. From the newly made hole, Infenaron crawls out and walks around, the hole that it comes out of is then filled with lava, making a ring for the stage to fight on. Since the lizard has no eyes, it cannot see Link and continues walking about. If Link remains still, the monster won't see him until Infenaron gets close enough. When Link does move, or when Infenaron gets close enough, its white tentacles on the side of its face wriggle about, and Infenaron faces Link directly, sensing the boy's presence. Walking closer to Link, the lizard let's out a roar and the battle begins.
Phase 1: Infenaron will slowly walk towards you as the monster is slow due to his size. Link must stay away from the lava from both the inside of the ring and the outside as well, but there is plenty of room for both the lizard and Link to walk about without actually encountering each other. When Infenaron does face Link, the monster will begin to inhale for its first attack, this will pull Link slightly into range so Infenaron can hit him better. Infenaron will then shoot out a geyser of fire in the direction it was facing, giving the most amount of damage to Link if he is struck, but Link can run out of range and avoid the attack before the attack is executed. If Link does avoid the fire, Link must venture away from the monster while it is still spewing its flames. This will give Link the opportunity to attack Infenaron. Link must use his arrows to shoot off the white tentacles off the sides of Infenaron's face. After Infenaron has finished its fire attack, it will realize that some of its tentacles have gone missing, which is its way of finding you, and so will move to the next phase of attack.
Phase 2:The monster will growl at Link and descend into the lava moat around the outside of the stage. Link needs to be watchful of his surroundings as Infenaron will be submerged under the lava. Bubbles will show where the monster is and if it is nearby Link (A/N: also another surround sound advantage fight, so Link can hear the bubbling if Infenaron is not in the vision of the screen). Once Infenaron does rise from the moat, it will use the fire attack as soon as half of its body comes out of the lava. Link needs to dodge the attack and wait until Infenaron is done, Link cannot reach Infenaron's tentacles from here. The beast will then climb up the walls of the room, leaving Link's sight and must once again rely on sounds and other signs. Eventually, Link will see a shadow growing larger beneath him. Obviously, Infenaron is performing a body slam onto Link's body, which means that Link should run away from the shadow before he gets flattened. When Infenaron lands, it will return to Phase 1 and walk around finding you. This means that Link must repeat the same strategy in Phase 1 as well and .
Infenaron will move back and forth from both phase 1 and 2 until finally all of the tentacles on the lizard's head are all shot off. Now that Infenaron is unable to sense Link, it will be wandering around blind. Since it is blind, it will flail around recklessly. This means that Link can't go near to deal damage with his sword, but instead must use his arrows yet again to shoot the tender areas on Infenaron's head. After a few shots, the beast will run away back into the hole it made before. The battle is over.

After the Battle: Link and his small shoulder companion discover that the orb is hidden in a room beneath the Throne Room and so try to find a way down into the next room. However, before they can do so, the ground begins to shake. Link's companion senses that the orb is on the move and is getting closer to them. Finally, out of the hole that Infenaron escaped from, the monster re-emerged, but looking differently this time.

Infenaron Dark Force 1

Who: Infenaron has absorbed the orb which holds one of the dark beings prisoner, and now sports a different look. It is completely covered in black along with purple streaks flowing along its body. Infenaron also has multiple long tentacles on its back. The battle then continues.

How to Fight: Infenaron will remain in the lava hole and attack you with its fireblasts only. The fire will be pure black and have more damage on Link than the previous attack. At first, Infenaron will just follow Link's movements whether he runs around or merely stands where he is, then it will shoot two of its dark tentacles from behind it and place Link inbetween the two of them. Link will have no way of escaping the tentacles as making contact with them will cause damage to Link. It seems that it is impossible to dodge Infenaron's next attack, which would be its fire breath, but there is still a beam of hope. Infenaron's new weakness is on its insides. When the lizard opens its mouth for the attack, Link will see the a blue section of the insides of its mouth. Link needs to shoot at the blue area before the fire escapes the lizard's mouth. Once the area is hit, Infenaron will close its mouth and drop its head to the ground. Link can use this opportunity to move in and slash the beast's head. Infenaron will return to attacking Link, but all Link needs to do is repeat the same strategy until finally Infenaron's dark form has been defeated.

When Defeated: Infenaron flails around and looks straight up at the ceiling with its mouth open wide. Black fire spews from its mouth as it breaks through the ceiling and dropping down a Heart Container. Finally the black fire forms around itself to create the orb that Infenaron had absorbed.

Afterwards: The Trebfist's village and kingdom has been reclaimed and peace has been brought back to the village above. The Trebfists have become entirely grateful to their hero and have granted him access to their kingdom along with some of their beloved treasures.

Author's Note: I was thinking through all my boss ideas to see which one could be best to insert since I could only do two entries, and Infenaron came to fit the spot. This boss was inspired by OoT's King Dodongo, as one can see by the stage as well as a fire breathing lizard. No use for bombs, but I did incorporate the bow into the fight.

Once again, a boss fight that could be seen more interesting with the power of surround sound. I believe the next Zelda game should possess a surround sound option at least, so that players can have the full experience while fighting.

Re: Design a Boss | ZU Connection

VORKA
Son of legendary dragon Volvagia

Background:As Link defeated the lava dragon Volvagia, he also freed her from the curse Ganondorf had put on her. just before she died, she blessed Link and cursed Ganondorf in her mind and promised her revange in the form of her offspring. no one knew she had a son called Vorka, and he was furious at Ganondorf for cursing his mother, because she could not take care of him. he saw her die in front of him, and knew this was all Ganondorfs fault.

When Ganondorf came back after being sealed in the Sacred realm, Vorka challenged him, and lost. Ganondorf corrupted his mind with the help of a big, black orb, wich would grant him control of Vorka. he now uses him to transport troops and to burn villages that do not accept him as their king. all this against Vorkas will.

Appearence: Vorka is a huge, golden dragon with four legs. he is very different from his mother: he resembles a western dragon, and has hugge, wings that is about 20 meters from tip to tip. Ganondorf ordered that a big howdah would be set on his back, along with the black orb that lets him control Vorka.

Place: top of death mountain. after getting the big key, you open the boss door and find yourself on a cliff at the side of the mountain with a ladder to the topp. after climbing to the topp, you see a huge arena with a hole filled of lava in the middle. it is very flat, and you suddenly hear some kind of war horn. from the other side of the arena, you see Vorka slowly rising. he roars at you and the battle begin.

The battle: he will mostly fly around and breath fire and try to grab you in his claws as well as mouth. the bulbins in the howdah will shoot flaming arrows on you. your only chance is to shoot his mouth with a few arrows when he is about to spout flames and he will crash on the ground. you use the Hookshot on the howdah so you land in it. when you do this, he will rise and start flying again. he won't try too shake you off, as that would make everyone else fall. you must fight your way towards the orb of darkness to smash it with whathever you want (hammer is the quickest way if you have). there is a risk for falling down if you get hit by one of the moblins on the howdah. but if you destroy the orb, Vorka will spin around and everyone will fall out. most bulbins will die, but a few will live (remember the momblins). it's up to you to survive untill Vorka returns too fry them. if you doo, you will be able to call Vorka anytime in the fields so he can aid you or transport you.

Attacks:
fire breath: 1 heart
tail swipe:swipes his tail knocking you back and dealing 2½ heart damage.
biting: grabs you in his moth dealing ½ heart every second until you make him spit you out.
grab: grabs you in his claws and throws you on the ground: 1½ heart.

Edit: pm me for critisism

I think that Zelda should never have voice acting. This is because Nintendo of America would have to dub, and you know what they say about video game dubs.... If you think so too, copy and paste this into your sig.

Boss Submission

Fell Shade, Link

Dark Birth
In the years when the Hero of Time raced through the emerald green fields of Hyrule to save it from the Twilight an ancient curse that once resided in the Twilit halls of the Forest Temple followed the Hero gaining Strength from his rare Misdeeds and exploiting it's knowledge if the Hero's fighting style, thus gathering it's ancient dark magic and creating for itself a shadowed body resembling the great sword-wielding hero.
while searching for the Hero wherever he roamed the curse found it's way into the ruins of the Temple of Time vowing to fight the Hero it now waits in the deep dark vales within the Forest. Over the years it honed it's Fighting Tecniques to prepare for the arrival of the Hero of Time

Location:
Temple of Time, Ruins
The Temple was rebuilt in a different location said to be somewhere near Lake Hylia, but the old ruins were never touched...or explored for that matter.

Before The Battle
When Link explores the Ruined Temple of Time several rooms set deep into the Temple's Foundation hold Skeletons and other signs of malevolent activity but in one room which is situated in what appeares to be the back of the Temple a large Man wearing thick Armor of an ancient make stands facing a small stone pedistal with the carven Royal Seal, says in a menacing whisper "I HAVE WAITED NEARLY A CENTURY FOR YOU TO COME HERE HERO OF TIME!" turning slowly his armor groaning slightly he holds in his right hand a blackend version of the Master Sword bearing a blood red aura.

Fighting Style:
The Tricky thing about this boss is his uncanny ability to adapt to how you move around him or how you will use Link's sword and shield
But his hit points are pretty high in the many other Zelda Games it usually took 3 direct hits to take a baddie down but this Armored Foe will be no pushover the best way to counter him is watch his movements carefully for example: When he prepares to use Dark Wave he will space his feet and do a half-crouch as in he will lower himself and sweep his Dark Master Sword backwards and swing forward letting the weight of his Armor carry him in a complete circle.

Attacks:
Arc Swing(1 heart)
Jump Attack(2 Hearts)
Thrust(1/2 Heart)
Sword Beam(1 Heart)
Shield Attack(Short-term Paralysis)
Dissolution(His body dissolves into a black mist which surrounds Link poisoning him)(slow comsumption of Hearts unless Link fights him off)
Dark Wave(He does a short spin Attack releasing a wave of Dark Energy)(4 Hearts)

Stratagy:
KEEP ON YOUR TOES! This battle WILL be tough he is just as unpredictable as another person he thinks and plans!
if he sees a small flaw in your defence or offence YOU WILL LOSE HEALTH
Best suggestionring as much Healing potions or Fairies as Link's Tunic can hold you will need every last one
As stated above watch his moves and be ready to counter him!

Difficulty: 9/10

Re: Design a Boss | ZU Connection

Just out of curiosity, are we allowed to submit artwork for the Design a Boss competition? I have some drawings I'd like to make for it, but I'm wondering if that is allowed/optional.

evil trio mark emmily and joey.

note that I got this idea from a song so it's probably not the best and also note that this would take place in a game where link and zelda would have to work with ganondorf because of a rumor they killed king zora and darunia.

the dungeon item is the dimension sword which can bend the dimensions and slay anything.

early in the dungeon you meet emmily in a green satin dress telling you she can help if you follow her she then runs off. when you get to the boss room you see a cut-seen where emmily in blue top and a pair of tan shorts with red eyes and a sword are leaning against a wall then two boys-one with a bow the other a sword-walk in with matching outfits and say ''it's time. he's here.'' when link walks in he see's nothing but darkness when he turns around he sees zelda and ganondorf in chains and the trio standing on ledge next to zelda and ganon. then zelda asks ''why are doing this?" then emmily responds "simple. we want the triforce. I would like wisdom." she then raises her fist and mark and joey do so as well and link and co. feel there triforce pieces glow. then they leave there master's enter emmily mark and joey and the battle begins.

appearnce

emmily: as stated above she wears a blue shirt with no sleaves and tan/kahki shorts. her sword is a replica of the master sword with no engravings and the whole hilt is blue.
mark: he wears a large tan executioners robe with a red face as if he is blushing and has a broadsword with blood stains covering the blade
joey: also wears a tan executioners robe but has a diligent look on his face and wields a bow with green arrows.
attacks:
part 1
emmily's wisdom: emmily swoops down and attempts to slash at you aferwards she shoots a blue beam from her sword. the beam cannot be blocked but does no damage though if you touch the light you will not be able to use weapons. 1 heart.

joeys courage: joey will shoot an arrow and if it hits he will swoop down and punch you. 1 1/2 hearts.

marks power: mark will throw his sword and if it hits he will jump down and throw you at the wall. 2 2/1 hearts.

the combo: two of the people will jump down and start slashing or shooting at you. this is where you can attack. 1 heart per slash or arrow.

strategy: to hurt them you must wait for the combo attack and circle behind them and attack.

part 2

joeys courage: this is basically emmily's wisdom but he shoots you and the beam is green. 1 heart.

marks power: same thing.

emmilys wisdom: same as the first but no beam.

combo attack: same as before.

strategy:same as before.

after a few rounds of this they will fall and you will get your triforce back.

Re: Design a Boss | ZU Connection

I wonder, are there too many entries from ZU? If there is, then I got lucky, because my first entry (Stalrex) was one of the first ten or twenty to be posted.

Re: Design a Boss | ZU Connection

Well I have another entry prepared, so I was wondering if I am able to withdraw my second entry? It'd be great to know within the next three days so that if I can post it I have time to get some constructive criticism form people. Thanks in advance for your answer.
