I think it's the fact the Zelda series is Nintendo exclusive, mabye they miss-interprated and thought you were suggesting that Zelda would move to PS3 or Xbox

Well I admit I am not an absolute expert on hardwear capabilities...but is this not esentially Zelda's adventure on steroids? (look wise I mean).
It's 2D, with photo textures, and a rain effect...somehow I would find it a bit strange if that wouldn't be able to be archived.
Zelda's adventure for the CD-i basicly had the same look in lower resolution.

I hate people like this. Just because the Wii's current library has crappy graphics doesn't mean it can't do better. The Conduit is arguably better looking than some 360 games.

I hate it people like this. The 360 and PS3 have better graphics. Who cares? I'm actually glad the Wii has worse graphics, because it can give games a slight nostalgic feel - which is always good. Seriously, the Wii isn't about graphics, so don't complain when it's brought up that it doesn't have them. It's like someone moaning and saying "I hate it when people say this. If Nintendo can make games that play well and don't look downright awful (not usually the case), then everyone is happy. I'm just saying this deviantART couldn't be done on Wii. Lol.

I have to agree with TotG here. There hasn't been a Wii game that has come even close to its potential. If you use a USB Gecko(debugger) while playing a game, you'll see that there are plenty of resources left. Now, the water effects being used, both in the rain, and on the right side would be a stretch, even on the 360. Tone them down, and lower the texture size a bit, and this is entirely possible on the Wii.

EDIT: There's also the problem with hi-def output, which is just not possible on the Wii. That doesn't make a huge difference(look at TP).

I don't care about graphics, I'm just sick of people bashing the Wii because they think it can't handle 360 graphics when it so clearly can.

Why doesn't the Tales of Symphonia sequel look anywhere near as good as Tales of Vesperia, then? This doesn't even have to be 3D. You can do so much with funky shaders when it's not 3D without it requiring an ounce of performance, because it doesn't have to render lots of 3D ****.

It's pretty obvious the wii is weaker graphic wise...but the picture at the start ...that should be possible. I don't see a problem there. I mean the CD-i did something similar.
Why do you doubt that that look could be archieved. I don't see why there should be a problem. It's 2D, so even the effects like the rain are archieved by very little means.

If you want ALttP in 3D, go play OoT or TP.

Well I see what you mean there. If 2.5D takes a lot less performance wise, then it could be possible. There'd be no chance if this were an open world environment though.
