NEW ZELDA: LoZ : Spirit Tracks (Tentative title)

I'll be so pissed if it's DSi only. Seriously, WTF.

The castle is the castle from The Wind Waker. Hm.

Quick query: Before today, we had no screens/videos of any NEW installments in Nintendo's top franchises (Mario, Zelda, Starfox, Metroid, F-Zero, Pikmin etc.)

When was this last the case? (Still nothing for Wii at all...)

If this second DS Zelda is anything like what I predicted, then it will basically be a game running on Phantom Hourglass' engine (same graphics, controls, etc.), but with the other features changed; more dungeons, more storyline/character development, no repeating of a dungeon over and over, and more varied environments/dungeons/items/music.

Basically all of the positives of PH with none of the negatives.

Although if you can't get out of your train and freely explore Hyrule Field that'll be a little bit disappointing. With the sea, there was an excuse for not being able to leave your boat, but there's not reason why Link can't have a little run around. Not that it makes much of a difference to gameplay.

Seriously, I hope they give control options, I HATED PH's controls with a bloody passion. After beating T and scarcely getting hit, PH was just... Frustrating.

That was the biggest gripe I had with PH. And how few islands there were compared to the masses in PH.

Maybe this could be Hyrule before the flood of WW, and showing us all of the land that we all wanted to explore at the end of it. If there's a ranch and Kakariko village, I'll crap myself.

Huzzah! Finally, a new Zelda! Hopefully it will return with Linebeck. Man I can't wait. It better be for the regular DS though. And not DSi exclusive.

We don't know that. It could easily be a Hyrule Castle from one of the 2D games that we don't get to see head-on, like The Minish Cap.

HECK YES! FINALLY! It's about time they announced a new Zelda!

And better yet, it looks like this is a continuation of PH. Maybe, for the first time, Nintendo is going to follow the same Link into a third game!

Even with such a lame title like "Spirit Tracks", I'm excited. I'm going to obsess about this for the next few days. Thanks for putting this up, Aleitheo!

They won't. They were fine, anyway, so long as you used L or R to 'use' the items instead of touching the corner of the screen.

And besides... that IS an awful lot of land there. Land cannot grow that fast.

If u look at the screenshot u will surely see that Spirit Tracks won't be sequel to any of the games before. The world seems much more advanced.

The conference never said anything about the DSi, except that you can see that the game is being played on a DSi, I think.

It's mostly people assuming. I'm waiting for actual info.

I don't know any other games that are exclusively for DSi. That's like saying some games could only play on DS lite not the original DS. I doubt it'll happen.
