NEW ZELDA: LoZ : Spirit Tracks (Tentative title)

I'm sure he can fight, but of course, not on his own. So far being shown fighting a Zola (something Link has been able to kill even without anybody's aid) but used more like a distraction while Link goes around and hits the Zola on the back (so it seems to me he's acting as his own boomerang compared to PH). Just like a few Zelda items, I'm sure there will be 1-2 enemies that can only be killed by "Darknut-aid". Maybe (just maybe) Link will be able to control more than a Darknut. I mean, he's shown with a whistle equipted while ordering the Darknut to attack, so maybe that means he can order different things to attack. Or maybe the whistle is meant to just quickly summon the Darknut to briefly summon him like in tWW when he said "Hey! Come On!".

Oh well, I guess Nintendo is still in their "Toon Link/Four Swords/Multiplayer" phase. When it comes to any wifi-game play I can imagine where you can play some sort of game co-op with a friend. Either be Link (fast but weaker attack) or Darknut (slow and stronger attacks). I don't know what the game would be (hopefully not the same as PH), but it's just something to think about.

Just asking (from those who subscribe) if this months Nintendo power (came out the 12th) did reveal anything new about ST or was it just a late announcement

the whole deal with the trains intrigues me...but scares me at the same time.

hopefully Nintendo won't try too hard to make this game appeal to the casual gamer.

the big question is.... will Tingle be in it?

No, nothing new. It was just the same info about the video. So its just a late announcement.

EDIT: And it was only 2 minutes before they were back on to non-gamers

A disappointing presentation this year for Zelda fans but there is Super Mario Galaxy 2 and a 3rd person platformer Metroid. Both are two games I've really wanted (SMG had so much potential for more, Metroid would have been great expanding into the 3rd dimension (not counting the first person Primes) )

Hopefully it will actually be in the game this time, TP was missing many things like that spider, some kind of forest giant, an actual forest and not a forest themed set of rooms, a field with a stream running through it, canoeing in places besides the river and fishing games

Actually its the Hylian Royal Family crest, which makes sense since Princess Zelda is in it

ACTUALLY that crest simply resembles the Hylian crest, but isn't the Hylian crest.
Things like that happen all the time in the Zelda world

Just because it doesn't look exactly like it, doesn't mean it isn't it.

The exact design would look unfitting on there so they made a much simplified, stylized version that looks the part

I wonder what role the Phantom will play in the plot? I hope's it females, becuase there's only been one playable female character in this entire series (medli).
Also I like the whip, it makes Link seem like Indy.
