To be honest I'm pissed as hell. I didn't enjoy Phantom Hourglass, so more than likely I won't enjoy this.

I was looking forward to an epic, hot-graphic-liked Legend of Zelda game, you know, something Nintendo could redeem themselves with in these times of crappy 'party and family' games.

(coming out of two-week hiatus just to comment on this)

I just thought of something really neat. There was this photographer called O. Winston Link who did photographs of trains. When I saw the trailer for this game, I went to class at the museum I work at (where we have an O. Winston Link exhibition up right now), I made the connection and thought, "Oh, the irony."

the telephone was in a dream. ...not that I liked that either.

bazookas and robot statues? ugh...I hadn't seen those yet.

the camera thing, I never liked. nor the cranes. TWW seriously pissed me off with that damn crane...

ugh. maybe I should quit Zelda while I'm ahead.

at any rate, I overgeneralize, and it's a bad habit. Zelda shouldn't use inventions outside of its "time period." it's not the first time they have, obviously, but it doesn't mean they should've started down this road in the first place.

obviously; it seems to have annoyed a lot of people. this group seems pretty divided over it.

I honestly don't know if I'm happy about this or not. I mean, sure, I've been waiting so long for a new Zelda, and when the time finally came, I found out...Hey, it's looks just the same as PH!

Yeah, it really looks like 'just' some sequel. But I might be wrong though. They might end up having more original mechanics revealed later on. So I guess it's best we just be patient.

Also, what's the big difference between a steamboat and a steam engine?

The point of what I said was its a effin' remake just to make the casuals happy. We needed something hardcore and awesome, not 'oh look a train', seriously.

This game can bomb down to the core of the earth if it has anything to do with the Temple of the Ocean ****'s mechanics. Oh god.

No, I don't think I like 'Zelda on the new frontier"... this seems to me more like the start of an old western rather than a serious Zelda game...

alright look. the bow and arrow, horses, the magic, swords and shields, these all give the game a certain feel. trains, cranes, cameras, phones, these all give a game a completely different kind of feel. y'know, sometimes these things work together. not often, but sometimes, if done right. what I've seen of the way Zelda's implementing it, it's been done wrong.

that's all I'm sayin. the game is losing its old Zelda "vibe" as it's progressing. for some of us who've been interested in Zelda since the beginning, it's alienating and frustrating.

if you want to blame me for that, go right ahead. at least I don't just flame and attack other people for having an opinion different from my own.

can we PLEASE move on? I never said this was definitely a horrible thing anyway; I just said I was worried about it.
