Yes I am, but I am confident because it has been confirmed. Just not said.

That's funny, because you have a source that is fan speculation that there will be Zelda at E3, while I have a statement from Miyamoto himself where he says that E3 is no longer the place to show off "core games"

*Ahem* That is from JULY 18th, 2008

We are in March 2009. Earthbounding's video that was made containing the info I was giving was from his more recent parts (Nintendo said the info I gave as well) from this year (Feb-March area)

Who cares about a new Wii Zelda anyway? It's clearly not going to do much, seeing as it's on a substandard gaming system.

@ Dr Zaius I wouldnt count on that one, Miyamato is trying to make Zelda Wii good. You never know if it will be as good as some of the greatest Zelda games.

Anyways, back on topic here (I noticed most people stopped posting when this thread got off topic). Anyone wonder what kind of job Link has in this game. Is he a random train person? Is he a letter deliverer?

Re: NEW ZELDA: LoZ : Spirit Tracks (Tentative title)

I'm looking forward to this game. I mean, my two favorite modes of transportation are ships and trains, and now they've put BOTH in Zelda, and plopped a cannon on BOTH.

Zelda + trains = interesting.
I also want to see what the story is like. I imagine it can't have anything to do with TWW and PH. Maybe they can use the time saved from copy/pasting part of PH to craft an interesting world.

He has some truth in what he says though, the Wii will not be able to get better the way the Ps3 and 360 do.

Due to how the Wii is built, the only kind of updates you can get a ones like extra channels which only end up as things like voting and answering questions. You can't get any real updates for games.
The 360 was capable of completely changing its dashboard in and out of game.

Still, maybe Nintendo will be more serious with the next console and put much more focus on its original audience than shifting too much of it to non-gamers.
Its one thing to have great games but a really great console can let you make even better games

Re: NEW ZELDA: LoZ : Spirit Tracks (Tentative title)

Maybe in ST there might have places where you can stop and save.

I didn't like what they did in MM where when you save you have to stop playing, but I think they should have SAVE STOPS where you can stop and save and continue to play.

Re: NEW ZELDA: LoZ : Spirit Tracks (Tentative title)

The first time i watched this trailer I was disappointed. The second time...even worse. While watching, it looked like it will be similar to PH in that there is no real overworld, and that you just ride a vehicle to get from town to town. I say this because the train part is nearly identical to the steamboat in PH, and the cities/castle you see Link going to in the trailer look the same way that the islands in PH did. I was really hoping for a Wii Zelda. Hopefully we get it soon. And I also hope that I'm wrong about the lack of an overworld...

*Facepalm*

High Voltage is the only company pushing the Wii to its limits so far. Anf guess what they managed to do on the Wii? Get graphics that rival early 360 games.

Nintendo probably unveiled ST first because it was faster and easier to make than Zelda Wii. At least Zelda Wii will be shown at E3.

Moving on..

How about that SAVE STOP idea I had earlier?

I know they have. It's a bad idea business wise. Why put out two main games from one of their biggest franchises in the same year, when they could release one after the other?

Release Zelda: Spirit Track, people buy it for a while, make money.
Release Zelda: Wii later on, people buy it for a while, make money.

You aren't going to get as many people potentially buying both games if they're out within such a short space of time. Putting one out at a time means you can only buy that game, and there's no "should I buy this or this or both". It's all you can do.

Coming out in succession means nothing :/ Really, just be grateful the DS game is coming out, so soon after it's been announced. Look forward to Zelda Wii after you've played PH 10 times over. I mean ST >_<. lols.

They just announced the huge storage solution everyone's been wanting since the Wii came out (without really half arsing it), which is a pretty big update to me :>

Don't get your hopes up; it looks exactly like PH's MO.
That said, if they fix PH's flaws, this game could be much more enjoyable.
I'm also glad that we got this look at it instead of nothing at all.
And I reiterate-- perhaps they could use some of the extra time to make an interesting story or better gameplay (since PH was already set up, and it looks like they reuse a fair amount of stuff from it).
I'm looking forward to seeing what the story is like.

Re: NEW ZELDA: LoZ : Spirit Tracks (Tentative title)

I've watched the Spirit Tracks trailer a couple of more times and I think have a good idea of the over-world layout. It seems travel on the train works exactly like PH's ship but on pre-set rails with a few alternate turns. I hope they put in the option for some on foot over-world exploration.

They are, remember seeing Link fight? I'm sure that some battles are taken on foot. If the game was all steer it would be boring.
