With nintendo porting old GC games to the Wii with new controls such as, Pikmin, Pikmin 2, Metriod Prime, Metriod Prime 2, Mario Power tennis, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, and chibi robo. How many of you would want a Wind Waker in the same fashion? Maybe with a new dungeon or something. I mean Loz, Aol, LA, ALttP, Oot, and MM have all been ported in one way or another. I don't think it's too crazy to speculate a WW re-release. Would you buy it?
I'd like to say that I wouldn't. But I totally would buy it. Maybe not as soon as it came out, but eventually I would get worn down and get it.

Re: New play control
No. The only ones I would even consider buying are games that could really benefit from it (i.e. Metroid), instead of games that would just have more of the gimmicky pointless bull**** the Wii is a patron saint of.

Re: New play control
This. They could start making Wind Waker again though, so people who hasn't played it can experience it. Just make the cover say "GameCube Classic" or something like that.

Re: New play control
I would buy it. My WW stopped working so that would be good for me. They could add maybe another thing like Cave of Ordeals as an extra sidequest in the second playthrough. Or connect the game like this. You have to beat OoT then MM then WW. Just to get the whole story.

This of course means they'd have to rework the entire combat system, but it's not like they can't do it (rather, too lazy to do it). Also, using hookshot, boomerang and bow would greatly benefit Zelda, like TP where using the bow was much more comfortable with the wiimote. However there are games I'd rather see remade, like Lylat Wars or Rogue Squadron.

I like the way you think but Rogue Leader was a third party game, and Factor 5 wants to develop on better consoles. Actually, I take that back. Apparently, Factor 5 is still developing for the Wii

Something a little harder in the second quest as an added challenge.

Re: New play control
Both the Savage Labyrinth (TWW 100 level dungeon) and the Cave of Ordeals are harder the second time you do them.

Re: New play control
I don't see the point in rebuying a game unless it had added content. Otherwise its just playing a game I already own with infirior controls; Metroid Prime 1&2 are exceptions since the wii controls are actually better than the GC. Its like SM64DS. Without the added content, I'm just playing a game I already own with infirior graphics and control difficulty (face it, SM64 was designed for an analouge stick, not a d-pad).

Re: New play control
I think it would be good for newer fans who didn't get the chance to play it on the GC, or people like me who lacked the cash to buy it before.
Wait, they rereleased MP1&2?! Need to look into that. Cheers.

Re: New play control
I'd get it eitherway, I just like collecting Zelda stuff, and it would be a nice way to replay WW in a new way. For a reasonable price ofc =)

Re: New play control
I have to agree with the fact that it will be a whole new experience with the wii remote acting as your stick for conducting the songs...
