Almost all Zelda games go by the same type of formula. Gather 3 things, plot twist, gather 3-4 more things, fight ganon, beat the game.

And I completed ALTTP again just last week, and OOT a few weeks before that. I've still got both games fresh in my head, and honestly, aside from the obvious similarities (like Ganondorf, the Triforce and the whole dungeon-to-dungeon stuff that's seen in most Zelda titles), they're very different games. By your definition of "remake", you could go as far as saying that EVERY Zelda game since ALTTP is a remake of it.

So true, but people like Mr.Green font obsess about how oot was just alttp remade. It wasn't it was a totally different Zelda game. You know it's really the Legend of Zelda not the Legend of Link and his formula. Each game is its own that has parts from others that were proven to make money and be enjoyed by players.


Edit @ Cloud: What I was saying is that a remake is just a remake, it isn't anything new so they don't need to put a lot of thought into it.

No I don't. I didn't mean remake in the literal sense. I meant if people think TP sucks because they think it's OoT 2.0, then they should hate OoT becasue it would be ALttP 3D by their standards, not mine.

I'm just sick of people hating on TP for copying OoT, then praising OoT for coming up with everything ALttP came up with.

I was hoping you had something good to say. I am not a troll, I am 14. I am not going to argue because there is no point. You are stuping down to an 8 year olds level by getting mad and calling me names.

Then whats with all that formula, formula stuff? I mean seriously, Oot was great, ALttP was great, they are 2 great game, but are completely different.

z-targeting is probably the best thing thats happened to Zelda. still the series will go down the drain if they don't do something amazing in this next one.
