Some REALLY nice FSA footage.

Courtesy of TSA and his site:

http://www.zhq2.com/videos.htm

He's had bandwidth issues in the past, so I suggest you hurry up before they go done.

Awesome, simply awesome. The title screen music is riminiscent of the LttP ending theme. Seeing how the gameplay will work in single-player was enlightening too. Not quite as good as I;d hoped it would be though.

Hearing the LttP sounds, seeing the LttP graphics... I'm sure most of you have seen my nostalgic rants. This is almost a dream come true for me

Oh, and these movies are LONG. Some of them are "short" (5+ minutes long), but the actual gameplay movies are about 20 minutes each.

I'd forgotten what it was like to be excited over a Zelda game... now I remember Kaepora Gaebora, Phantom Ganon, the return of classic LttP graphics, music, sound... and did you guys see what happens to the grass when it catches on fire? And the Fairy Queen from tWW totally nuking that army of guards... heh.

And I have TSA giving me some sort of running commentary as he plays through the import, so I have a bit more tidbits... the Shadow Temple music makes an appearance, as do Malon/Talon variations, Igos du Ikan, Kafei... you'll see Jalhalla, too. You'll see Gorons, an Arrghus like boss, what seems to be the ruins of the Tower of Hera, complete with lava and remixed level 9 music from Zelda 1.

Re: Some REALLY nice FSA footage.

*copies and pastes*

Heh, I was always rather skeptical of this one. I thought that it was just a half-assed GBA port. Judging by these videos, I can say that I am very, very wrong. The blending of sprites and three-dee effects is great, gameplay seems solid, and music is some of the better Zelda stuff I've heard. I don't think I'll get it (considering I am rather GBA-less, and multiplayer is a big part of the game), but at least I was proven wrong with my assumptions.

Re: Some REALLY nice FSA footage.

This game is looking freaking amazing.. did you notice how the LttP castle guards are more like Zelda II iron knuckles in terms of AI now? hehe. They retreat and attack, retreat and attack and as you swing at them they react accordingly.

I was already going to buy it after having seen the screenshots that you gave us before (and because it's a Zelda game) so all this has succeeded in doing is making Four Swords Adventure look better than ever before. However, it's doing a damn good job of it. Thanks los =)

Re: Some REALLY nice FSA footage.

Sorry I thought this topic was worth coming back after an absence of a long time

You guys are lucky though, I have to pay extra to get it imported to UK to play it at the same time as most other folks ^__^

Re: Some REALLY nice FSA footage.

I can see the game looks amazing after watchign mos tof the videos, but it really perplexes me if this is supposed to fit in story-wise. There are so many familiar elements, yet at the same time they shouldn't be together. Or perhaps the artistic stance jsut puts older versions into a newer description.

Once again a game that is set to thril beyond any doubt that has been placed on it.

Re: Some REALLY nice FSA footage.

Thanks for the linkies, lordy! I only d/led a couple cause otherwise I'll go over my d/l limit and burn some serious holeage in my pocket!

Oh man it is awesome to hear the LttP backstory music again! That tune had some serious awesomeness problems, man.

according to TSA, it takes place sometime after MM and further proves a two timeline existance (which before this game, he didn't believe at all)

I got my copy pre-ordered ;]

Re: Some REALLY nice FSA footage.

It's been confirmed that it's supposed to be a sequel to the original Four Swords, is it not? (or something to that affect...I doubt it has anything to do whatsoever with MM)

Re: Some REALLY nice FSA footage.

just because it may be a sequel/prequel to Four Swords on the GBA, doesn't mean it doesn't have anything to do with other Zelda games.

Actually.. It probably takes place after WW
