being able to customize Link

link has a good look but i've always wanted to be able to customize him by doing things like buy new tunics (just for decoration) new hairstyles maybe get things like chain-mail or armor plates or whatever but anyways what do you guys think?

zelda is not an rpg

so what are you saying that customising your characters is restricted to an rpg game

It woud be AWSOME! Take away hair styles though.

Except that Shigeru Miyamoto counts Zelda as a type of RPG. an if you can customize his outfit and armor he is still link your not changing his facial features or body structure.

Zelda is an RPG for the fact that it does not exist and you are "Role Playing" as Link in the Fictional universe of Hyrule.

I think you're taking "role playing game" a bit too literal.

No more than the level of customization that OoT. Though I think the boots should stay as Items, so... swords, shields and tunics will do fine. About 3 of each, maybe?

Customizable outfits and hair style. No customizable sex or race

Zelda is somewhat of an RPG. Given the option to pick your weapons and upgradable equipment is how RPGish it is. Every dungeon is a giant maze, it has some puzzles, but it's not nessisarly a puzzle game, but it could arguably be puzzly enough to be a puzzle game. I think if we have to label zelda games they would be action adventure. However the rpg/puzzle style is what hooked me to playing the games. (My first and favorite is alttp)
