aLttP Wii-make - Would you enjoy it?

I've been thinking for a while now that making a 3-D remake of aLttP would just be great.

I'm all for the "new adventure" they are currently planning, and I want them to go ahead and make this new Wii title the best they can. I'm just saying it would be nice to see a remake in the future.

It created the Zelda formula (that is, the story/gameplay basis that every game in the series has followed somewhat), and was one the most diverse Zelda games in terms of side quests and difficulty.

The games large overworld would look wonderful in a 3-D environment, and the sheer scale would be of epic proportions.

So what do you think ZU? Should Nintendo (in the future, doesn't have to be right now) make a 3-D remake of LttP?

We already have this. It's called Twilight Princess.

I don't understand why people want remakes so bad. The game already exists. Why can't you just enjoy that and also a brand NEW Zelda to play? From the standpoint of Nintendo, why spend so much time working on a big 3D Zelda if it was just a remake? (yeah cut it out with the OOT/TP jokes)

I'm not saying they shouldn't make new Zelda games. But I really think LttP is deserving of a remake. It's great in 2-D, but the sheer size of the game in 3-D would be amazing.

For having over 1,000 posts on this forums you would think you would know how a remake thread respond here, no need for sarcasm.

On that note, the only two games that should be remade are LoZ and AoL to make sense of their timeline placement, yet if they were to remake them, it would tarnish what they stand for.

If it looked anything like this, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. They'd have to throw in some improvements though, more than just some tacky Palace Of The Four Swords.

I'd still prefer a new game though.

I might have over 1000 posts, but I stick in theorising, so most of the people here won't know me.

I don't care how many people whine about remake threads. I said, a few times, that I don't want them to make it right away, I just want them to make it one day. Because I think it would top the original, hell, it would top OoT if they did it right.

But no, people are stuck in the single mindframe that when someone says remake, they must flame. If they read my first post, they would have:

a) Noticed I said I want a new game, I'm just sayign it would be nice to have a remake of LttP in the future
and
b) The context of this thread is "would you like a LttP remake?" which nearly no one has answered.

So don't tell me that I shouldn't have expected this, because I didn't. I expected some reasonable, grown up answers. If people think remakes are a waste of time, they are welcome to, but they could at least tell me why instead of spamming up a thread that others may wish to participate in.

A 3D remake of A Link to the Past? Huh? Ever heard of a game called "Ocarina of Time"? You should give it try some day. ;D

If they hadn't already ported ALttP, I'd say definitely. The world of the decline of the Hylians always intrigued me, and it'd be interesting to see ALttP get the fully developed story that would make it more relevant and accessible to today's gaming crowd.

Right now, though, if any game, it should be the NES game(s).

OoT wasn't quite the same as ALttP.

Considering that ALttP is one of the best games ever, I would appreciate a Wii-make on the same difficulty level with more things in-depth.

What if just a small portion of the world of Link to the Past was remade, and it had a cameo appearance in a completely new game?

First people say that TP was a 'remake' of OoT.... now ALttP.

Arguably both were remakes of it.

OoT just had fewer similarities than TP does. ;P

im sick of hearing this look Oot and TP are not remakes they would be remakes if they were called zelda a link to the past but they are not now somebody tell just how a 3d game with a completely different title and story is a remake

Yes it would be so cool especially to see mothula.

I would like to see a 2.5D ALttP for the DS, kinda like PH. Nintendo could pretty it up a bit; enhance the graphics, add some dungeons, put in a couple references to other games to screw up timeline theorizing, all sorts of stuff. I'd buy it.

Everyone wants a re-make of OoT, MM, or ALTTP.

zelda games are fine on the system they're on. i say leave them like they are

I'm sick of people suggesting remakes of past zelda games. A new zelda would be a much better idea. Besides, if you want a 3D Alttp, play OOT.
