So because you disagree with the devs, you think we are wrong?
No VA and Link being the avatar is the developers choice, not an excuse.
They have made it clear they can change this easily but they don't. they keep it like it has been because thats what makes Zelda work so well.
Just because Zelda can have VA in this day and age, does not mean that not having it because you are meant to imagine your own voices is an excuse.
Link is blank because he is meant to be you. The devs could easily make him into a fully fledged character but they don't because that would mean the personal connection is no longer there.
Basically if you add in VA to the game and give Link a full personality, you destroy the personal link the game is meant to have with the player and thus there is no longer the Zelda feel that makes you like the games so much.
There is alot to Zelda that makes it so good and if you take out things like this, it wouldn't feel the same. Sure VA is a nice thing to have but in a game like Zelda where you are meant to imagine your own to make the game more personal, it can actually detract from it all
Not everyone thinks that Link being an Avatar is one of the fundamentals of the Zelda series. How many other developers besides Maiyamoto believe in the Link avatar idea? We know that if he strolls into the room and tells them to do something different that they have to do it. That doesn't mean others besides him believe the avatar ideal is important.
