Zelda iPod Spin-off?

What do you guys think of a Zelda game for the iPod? It would involve the click-wheel, which I will here explain:

For those of you who've never seen the iPod click-wheel, it's a circular button that selects when you press it, with a small ring around it. This ring has 4 buttons in it: forward, backward, pause/play, & menu. You can also press lightly & circle around it with your finger to adjust the volume, our go up or down on the menu. These could easily be controls for a Zelda!

Picture this: MC/PH picture, you're Link. Press & hold the click-wheel lightly in the direction you want to go, & Link will walk there. Now, tap in a direction, & Link swings his sword. Double tap, & you charge for a spin attack, releasing by rotating your finger around the click-wheel. Now for items...By clicking the menu button, you can equip different items, the press the center button to use them. For example, Bombs. Click the center to pick one up, the tap to drop it, or double tap to throw. Arrows: click the center & tap in a direction to shoot, or double tap to charge a magic arrow.

See how it could work?

I like the idea, though. I would play it. I wouldn't be the one playing it all the time, but maybe when I'm bored I would play it. Hah.

Sounds fun, but it wouldn't be like something I'd play all day but maybe in class.

Nintendo will never release one of their first party franchises on a non-Nintendo system. And that's good. The reason, why I'm buying Nintendo systems, is, because I can be sure, that Zelda, Metroid and Smash Bros, meaning all the good stuff is coming out for them and only for them. I don't want to buy an IPod or a PS3, just because the next Zelda will be released on them. And Nintendo would be stupid, if they did so.

Might be cool but I wouldn't take the time to play most likely. I just remember in high school playing ALttP on my graphing calculator all the time so if I were still in high school or college it might be cool. Other than that. Not so cool.

It would make more sense to make it for the touch and iphone than the ipod classic. They have a larger screen, touch interface, can make 3D images (I don't think a regular ipod can, but correct me if I'm wrong) and internet capability. It would basically be like making a DS game with no buttons.

Anyway, if it was fun and cheap on the apps store (meaning less than $10), I might pick it up. It will never happen though, so the point is moot.

I don't want to buy an IPod or a PS3, just because the next Zelda will be released on them.

Why not? Thats the only reason I bought the wii.
