Rumor(Next Zelda to Be Announced)

I found this article so i decided to share it with everyone

But its just a rumor, Iwata may or may not announce it. So dont lift your hopes up high.
I dont fully believe he will announce it, not sure, i probably agree 15- 50% that he will.

It is possible since he is one of the key speakers in this years GDC. He could show of nintendo a bit.

Chances are the Zelda announcement will go like this if it happens:

"Oh, yeah, we're making the next Zelda. Thanks for asking."

Well they could be doing what they did with twilight princess; make a trailer then release the game one year later.

If it will be announced, and I do beleive there is about a 50% chance of this, it will be something akin to what other people have mentioned before. It won't be a date of release. It will be the announcement of the game coming out within the next year or so (or possibly next). It will also have some minor examples of the Zelda game in questions. Maybe some character designs, small beta-screen shots and gameplay footage. Even introducing something "new" about it. Such as the changes they're making for it.

I won't be hyped though. I shall wait and see.

Because it's just as likely we'll get nothing.

Well if they announce a title, then even I will be happy.

Yeah, you mean 2 and half years later. ^^

I think, with Zelda Wii, they don't want to repeat the same mistakes with Twilight Princess. And by that, I mean release-wise. I think they'll wait till their much further into production with this one, so we don't have as many people complaining about a late release.

Because, even though it'd take the same ammount of time... people are less likely to complain if the announcement happens later in the production, rather than earlier.

So let's hope that an announcement now means a release is 'soon'.

You're dead right. Look at Starcraft 2. Blizzard announced it early on in its development, and it's probably going to be about 4 years before they release it, so they're going to get a bunch of complaints. It's better to know, when you see a game's trailer, that it's only going to be a year or so before you can buy it.

I don't really care if they just mention a title or some ideas.
As long as it's official and they don't delay it.

Yup. I beleive that's what everyone wants. An announcement of anysort.

But I have to say now (and not to you specificly, iRock71, you just reminded me of other people), that if it IS delayed, I pray and HOPE that people won't get their panties wedged up their butts because of it. I mean, making video games is HARD, and it takes a lot longer than people think it does.

So I do pray, with everyone else, we get an announcement and very MINIMAL delays at all.

But in the end, I just want more Zelda, and I'm willing to wait.

I'de rather wait for a couple years and play one hell of a Zelda game, rather than playing it by the end of 2009 and seeing how bad it is.

Even we get a screen, a mini trailer, or even just some information I'll be a happy camper. But don't be surprised if we don't get anything at all....

Expect the worst, don't get your hopes up.

I don't see why it'd be so bad if it came out at the end of 2009. As far as I am aware, they've been working on it (at least the basic concept) before the release of Twilight Princess. So what's that 3? 4 years? That's quite a while. Because, in truth Twilight Princess isn't a TRUE Zelda Wii game, just a port over when they were doing the consol switch.

But yes... It would be much better if we waited a bit. So I am willing no matter waht.

And I guess I'll be neutral, thanks, instead of expecting the worst / best. :]/ What happens happens.

And a word of warning, as Twilight~09 said. Don't be surprised if we don't get anything at all.

Eh, I think by the end of this year, we will have a trailer (probably from E3). Then another 6 months or a year, and it will be realeased.
If they did that, I think they would have had sufficient time to make a truely great game.

As for this rumor, they might just confirm that yes, they are making a new Zelda game.

If they do, i hope they say weather or not it will have motion plus support. it most likely will.

I so hope so,It would make it more fun and alot more addicting.

Game Informer were the ones that gave news of a Zelda Wii game that had been in the works year before the release of Twilight Princess when TP first initially came out.

Shigeru Miyamoto said that he was completely unsure that the new Zelda will be at E3 at all.
