A weird dungeon idea I had

Okay, I am expecting to get flamed for this one but...

What about a dungeon that was a crashed spaceship from a society that had highly advanced technology? It would have all sorts of wierd puzzles, as well as some robots, and perhaps even surviving aliens. It wouuld be like the Water Temple from OOT in length. The dungeon boss could be some huge alien/robot hybrid.

*Prepares to be flamed*

Re: A weird dungeon idea I had

Well it could be possible, seeing how thier were aliens in Majora's Mask. I don't know if this would really fit in my the whole Zelda series, but I suppose it could work. I just don't really see how these creatures/aliens could work for ganon himself?

It's a funny idea, I haven't seen any aliens in the Zelda games.

Well, it could be that they have crashed, and can not get their ship back up in space. Ganon finds them, and he says the if tey help him , he will give them the ability to get their ship back up into space. Of course, he would probably just destroy them when they had served their purpose. I dunno, maybe they could just be a lone force in the world, just staying in their ship, which Link stumbles upon.

I even had an idea for some of the robot enemies. They could have a beam sword, as well as a laser gun. They would have a sesnor that let them detect where Link was, like they culd use it to sweep around a croner that Link was hidding behind, and they would know where he is. Their only weak spot would be in their backside, and you would have to him them there a couple of times to kill them. To attack they would run up and hit Link with ther beam sword or shoot at Link with the laser gun.

well 100% doubt that they`d put an alien spaceship as a dungeon in zelda, cause it just isn`t zelda like at all.

Re: A weird dungeon idea I had

Zelda is more of a stereotypical RPG type of game, with a midevil concept. A spaceship with robots would not fit...at all.

I agree with SC. Zelda should never have any technological environments. The Aliens in MM were stupid by the way.

Ya, I was wondering how they get the doors to open when you step on a switch. My guess was electromagnets
What disturbs me is the fact that barring windmills/ clock tower etc. I have never seen an example of a wheel. As in no carts or trams or anything! Am I mistaken?...

Re: A weird dungeon idea I had

ok, this idea really reminded me of Metroid Prime...

You know how the frigate crashed and you eventually return to it and explore it, and half of its flooded and stuff...and all the robots and aliens(space pirates) are there, some dying...

On this topic, it would be neat, because according to some theories the trees the Korok's planted drained the sea (the deku tree said something about "when all of the islands become one great island") if you could perhaps go into the ruins of a Hyrulian city, that maybe....as one of the lands...just a thought, might be cool

I never got very far in Metroid Prime, but I have no patience what so ever when I have no idea what to do in a game.

As for your idea, that would be interesting, maybe it could have crashed in the great ocean. And the aliens managed to survive for a while.

Re: A weird dungeon idea I had

Hmmm, well not a bad idea at all, however, I doubt it will happen. I don't think Nintendo will ever make such a dungeon with aliens in it.

Re: A weird dungeon idea I had

Heh I just got past that part in Prime today. Very awesome going through the flooded rooms you went through when it was in space. And how you would encounter floating pirate bodies.

And that doesn't seem to fit. I don't think an idea like that would ruin Zelda. But I just find it hard to imagine higher technology in medieval places. And it doesn't make much sense and the whole idea is pointless. Although exploring a the ruins of Hyrule would be awesome though.

Re: A weird dungeon idea I had

If Nintendo is going to create a new species to play around with (your outer space aliens) lets get to know more about the species we have in the Zelda games before we continue on. So far, we have two new species: the Subrosians and the Tokay (the first time I saw a Tokay in OoA I thought they were aliens....just look at them, they look like E.T.)

Im sorry Galeros but you have to addmit it a whole lotta
