Re: Magic Or No Magic?
Twilight Princess was originally going to have magic, but then they took it out for some reason. The box art for TP features a magic meter, in the screenshot where Link is fighting a darknut:
![]() You can check your own TP boxes (Wii) to confirm this. ![]() I wonder why they took it out. In the screenshot, some of the magic has been used up-- I wonder what it was used for?Anyway, I hope the next Zelda game has magic in it. I don't see why it wouldn't. TWW even had a primative alchemy system (Chu Jelly, etc.) which was cool. EDIT: The screenshot only appears on the Wii box art.

Re: Magic Or No Magic?
Ya, I kinda liked the magic meter. It was nice though in TP where you didn't have to worry about it though. I wouldn't mind either way but it would be nice to have it back. Just for old times sake.

Re: Magic Or No Magic?
Yeah, you're right. It isn't on the Gamecube box, I thought it was. I guess it's only on the Wii box.

Re: Magic Or No Magic?
i wonder why nintendo cancelled the magic in TP, maybe the magic was going to be used for some of the hidden skills and the boomerang. but i think there were other items that they were going to put. if they were going to put magic they wouldnt just use it for a few things. but at the same time, maybe they cancelled it just for the few things? what?, im confused now?

TP: Magic Armor, Lantern (if oil wasn't involved), & Dominion Rod tMC: Cane of Pacci & Flame Lantern (plus it was in the game's programming that the Fire-rod was going to be in the game, but they replaced it with the Flame Lantern. My guess it was because it would make the game a whole lot easier...like LA with the Magic Rod). FSA: Fire-rod & Lantern. When it comes to the Lantern, 98% of the time the player just uses it to see better in the dark, and rarely use it to light up torches. ALttP had that problem, and they seem to have changed it since, because what's so magical about an unlimited supply of oil ?Quote:
And a book that I don't recall seeing in the game at 6:56...could that be a Book of Mudora?)Quote:

Re: Magic Or No Magic?
it would be cool to make link use more spells in the next game, in OOT there were only 3 spells, dins fire and nayrus love and farores wind. In the next zelda game they could add new spells.
In TP, it would have been cool to use magic instead of rupees for the magic armor.
