My thoughts on redeads...

The redeads have always been a favorite to me since OoT and MM. Never has any video game creature interested me as much as the redead. Because of the number of redeads in Ikana, I chose that as my name.

But I digress.

We've seen many types of redeads since OoT, but the classic design remains my favorite, with TWW's being 2nd.

With wii's power, it could be possible to encounter hordes of 20 or more redeads at one time. You might ask "how would that work? The paralyizing screams would make it impossible to move for a second without another freezing you?"

I have an answer: take the screaming power from most redeads, but reserve it for stronger variants.

I know you'll say why fix something that's not broken?

I'm not trying to: I'm just trying to think of a new idea that would make hordes of redeads possible at one time

More like zombies than skeletons, but mostly

In Ocarina of Time Master Quest...inside the Bottom of the bottom of the well there is a HUGE mass of redeads standing very close to each other. I got stuck in that mob...and I couldn't even do anything...I couldn't even pull out the Ocarina! It was horrible. If it wasn't for the Wallmaster that grabbed Link by the face...Link would've died no doubt.

I always thought it'd be cool if they did something like the Market in OoT except with a lot more redeads...it'd be creepy as heck.

I think there should be three kinds:

Normal (unable to scream)
fast (duh)
Elite (capable of screaming)

I think there were redeads in TP that scream would freeze you and swing at you with a massive blade.

Yeah, but I didn't like them as much as the traditionals

Am I the only one who at first thought this thread was called, "My thoughts on redheads?"

Anyway, I think they're annoying and pointless enemies to have around, but I do like their eeryness.

I'd prefer it if they didn't scream at all. To be quite honest, I found that to be incredibly annoying. I'd also love it if they dropped the whole zombie-with-a-sword thing from TP and instead stick with the traditional ReDead formula we know and love from OoT and MM.

How exactly does that work? I mean if tyou take away their scream, then you really cant have the same forumla from OoT and MM.

But I think Zelda should have a undead zombie type game. Instead of Ganondorf we get some undead king dude with an army of undead monsters including redeads.

I think the ReDead's powers should work like Navi's description in Ocarina of Time says. Rather than paralyzing you with their shrieks, they could paralyze you with their gaze. By looking you in the eye, so that you have to kill them from behind.

Then again, the shrill scream is what makes them so creepy, so that might not be such a good idea.

I liked the captain's hat and the effect it had on redeads in MM... that was funny

But anyway i guess that would be cool.

id like to see te old oot redead style again

i couldnt take the ones on ww seriously cause of the games art design. and having them attack you with swords wasnt all that scary either. and the mm ones were fun to watch to dance but took away the scare factor.

redeads should definatley be a bit stronger thoug because for being a late enemy in all of the games, they werent all that tough to kill. i expected enemies in the last few temples like the shadow temple and earth temple and ikana canyon to be a little bit stronger
