Who would voice Link?

This thread is NOT about whether or not Link should have a VA. Its not whether or not VA should become apart of the Zelda franchise. If you want to express your opinion on this, please keep it to a sentence or two.

Now that I have that out of the way. What if Link did have a VA? Who would you want to be our favorite hero in green?

Im just curious to who people would pick.

Link already has several voice actors.........Fujiko Takimoto, Nobuyuki Hiyama, Sachi Matsumoto, Akira Sasanuma, and Jonathan Potts from the cartoon. I guess any of the 1st 4 would be ok. Hmm, I wouldn't mind Mamoru Miyano, he's got a nice voice

I don't really know many English voice actors.....

I still think Link is better off not talking /opinion

I think the English voice actor (if any, cause I'd rather he be silent) should be: Johnny Depp... cause he can do ANYTHING (Willi wonka to capt jack sparrow.... WOW)

Or maybe Dekota Fanning.

The same girl who acted for Naruto... not the dub.

Steven Blum should do it for the adult Link. The guy who did the english voice over for Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop and Leeron's voice over for Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

I think Johny Bosch should voice Link,

1. Link likes to scream alot when he fights so does Bosch

2. Link sounds kinda manly and deep same for Bosch

3. Link shows a lot of motion same for Bosch

I heard Johnny Yong Bosch is the worst when it comes to voice acting. A lot of folks don't like him, especially me. He sounds so fake... I only liked him as Vash.

Wouldn't like him to voice Link.

I think whoever did Atton Rand in KotOR 2 whould work.

I think Johnny Depp would work for Link.

I agree with CT- about Steve Blum. Not only did his voice work for Spike, but he was also great voicing Mugen from Samurai Champloo. I can really picture Link with that voice, especially if he was a rough and rebellious Link, a different take on the hero as well. Basically, a punk Link (in personality and such, not the dress style [mohawks, leather, spikes, etc]). I'd like to see that, especially in a steampunk setting.

I disagree. I think he sounds legit, actually.

I've only watched Cowboy Bebop, so I'll take it just from that and say that Steve isn't a good choice for Link. To me he would sound too old. His voice is too deep, I guess, imo.

I view Link as like Ichigo, except he shows more kindness than he does. It all depends on how the creators interpret Link's personality. I'd also be curious to hear what child Link would sound like, meaning who should voice him.

If done right, I think va could be cool for Zelda. A fresh change, also.

I'm a big voice actor/seiyuu fan and I would have to disagree on both parts for Steve Jay Blum or Johnny Yong Bosch. Steve is just way too deep; Link isn't that old and Johnny is too...actiony for Link. I can't place the right word for it; I've just heard Johnny in a lot of different anime, and I just can't see him voicing Link.


For fangirl matters, I wouldn't mind having Alessandro Juliani to voice him. (If you don't know, that's L's English dub VA <333)
