Should link have a voice? (voice acting)

I don't think that there's a thread about this yet
so whats everones opinion on whether link should have voice acting in the next zelda game?

For me I don't mind if the other characters have it, it'l probably add to the story, but link should always be the silent warrior.

I think other characters should have voice acting (if it's not crappy), but link should always be silent...

Perhaps more sounds, but not voice acting.

It would ruin the franchise. The muteness of Link is one of the major things that make the series.

If he has it, it needs to be well written and well acted. The voice actor for my guy in Mass Effect pissed me off to no end.

Seriously, though, it doesn't matter.

I don't like voice acting for games in general.

Voice acting for the NPC's: Yes

I wouldn't care either way.

It does not much matter to me.

However, if there were to be voice acting, then by no means should it sound like this. (Ignore the animation. Close your eyes or something.)

Man, what I love about Link is that he never talks, its as if the game wants us personally to respond, it's great.

The fact that Link doesn't talk makes it easier for the people playing to "become" him, to feel like they are in his place.

Some of the other NPC could have voice acting, that would rock.

I just think Link having no voice is one of his characteristics, like courage, and a green tunic.

Besides, if some people thinks his voice sucks, then the cut scenes are ruined for them!

Meh I don't mind.

This would have to be the third time I saw a similar thread contributing to Link having a voice or not.

I'm for Link being silent but think about it, like 70% of all Nintendo heroes are silent, Mario, Pokemon Trainer (The player in the pokemon games), and so on.
I like it though but it's kinda funny

I would prefer Link to remain the silent loner. But if he had to have a voice, it better be a good VA and well scripted. With as few lines as possible. Just a bit over the common grunts and such.

Mario isn't completely silent, he says "Mamma mia", "Here we go", and some other small phrases. He never says an entire sentence tho.

It's weird how when Link has to talk (ex. explain something that have happened) Nintendo like fades to black and fades in when he finished talking So it's like he CAN talk but just not in front of the player :p

In Tww, link said "come on" when you call the statues in the tower of the gods...

Link aint mute he just doesnt have lines.

As is, give other characters voices, not link

I think it would be interesting to hear link talk.
