When do you think the new zelda is coming out.

I've just been hearing a bunch of stuff on how the next zelda is coming in late 09, early 10, and a bunch of other dates. I just want to know when the majority of people think its coming out.

I'm gonna take a guess and say about May 2010. It is gonna be completly unoriginal and be a complete waste of time much like TP was.

i am hoping 09... that would be great... i am getting a little tired of waiting.. i know that the longer the better for the game itself... but how long does a game take to make.. TP came out in what? 2006? some news would be GREAT

I like waiting. I makes me laugh to see everyone else so impatient over one game that might not even be so great.

waiting isn't bad at all.. i ca agree with you on that.. but i also like to be informed... and we havnt been informed of anything.. except that the game has been in the works FOREVER

the longer the wait is, the better the game is usually. I reckon it'll be out for xmas 2010, hopefully it'll be awesome since it's been in 'development' for a few years already.

well.. i can agree with the longer in development is a better game.. but idk.. i still want some news..

I just hope, when it does come out, it'll use the wii's full capabilities, both graphically and control-wise. And that it isn't boring like TP

Also, it won't be released before 2010 at the very least. It probably won't be out until 2011.

Thats my 17th birthday and I want it on my birthday with the next generation wii.

Why wouldn't it make sense for Nintendo to release it with the next gen technologies.

The Wii has only been out for two years. Plus, I don't think they would bypass the Wii (TP doesn't count because it's a port of a Gamecube game).

Also, it most likely won't be released on your birthday.

Your a moron if you think it will take them 5 years when Reggie specificly said in the interview for the fall conference that the new mario and zelda games are coming soon i just don't want to ruin the date. Now if you think that it won't be out in late 2009 or early 2010 your smoking some dope. Look at the evidence, its never taken the zelda franchize longer then 3 years to make a new zelda. Why on earth would they take ten for this one. Miyamoto even admits to be working on this project before TP was released. It just baffles me for you to be so ignorant.

Well it was a dream.
2010 is not 10 years from last Zelda game.
Late 2010 seems right though because games release dates seem to get pushed around alot.

Ocarina of Time -- 1998

That's 5 years difference... Zelda went on a slight hiatus there.

It's not so bad now because of the expanded platforms and teams Nintendo has working on Zelda, but the franchises sales have been downright horrible the past few years, including in Japan.. Nintendo's relying on North America to bring in the cash from its newest Zelda games, but no Zelda game has made any marketing impact since OOT.

As well as the fact that Zelda games have been getting even worse, and less original doesn't help them either. If they don't come out large with this new Zelda, the franchise can kiss itself good-bye.

I say early to middle 2010. Expect information on it early next year.
