Hmmm how about this idea for a puzzle:
You're inside a room with a wall (that you can't touch) that has a puzzle that looks like this (just remove Donkey Kong, the girl, and Mario):
The point of the puzzle? There are over seven floor switches near you. The point is to find the correct switch to open up gates that separate each floor and to help navigate a fragile boulder to go all the way to the bottom to press on a switch to open to the next doorway. Sounds easy? Well it isn't. You can only use each switch once, there will be enemies in your boulder's way (so Link will have to shoot arrows at the enemies before they can damage the boulder), and since there are more switches than gates, it's more than likely that 1-2 switches will make things more difficult (like adding more enemies).
