Future towns and cities.

I'm not sure if there's already a topic about this, but here goes.

What do you want to see from towns and cities in the next game?

I want:

-more towns
-larger and more complex
-more stuff to do
-more houses (so it's believable that people live somewhere)
-more shops and attractions

I'd also love to see a town overrun with monsters, not a haven from all danger, like most towns.

i believes that....
there should be abandoned place but only very few people live there...
a big town, that has rich people, and poor people living in the streets.
and a small field.

I'd love to see aruined town in the desert, where all the people are reduced to piles of bones that put themselve together to form stalfos.....es
when you get close. And you can get surrounded by like 50 at one time

Re: Future towns and cities.

I'm thinking of something like that. A HUGE ironknuckle that goes on a killing spree and destroys buildings. You must fight off it's army of moblins that are burning down buildings and killing people. Then you have to fight the guy with the axe...

For beating him, you get his axe!

I would LOVE to have a place where you can be challenged and fight monsters and stuff like that. Just like the Cave of Oridin/ Oridin Cave(however you spell it)

Re: Future towns and cities.

I annoyed me that there were less towns in TP than any other game. There was just limited people living in Hyrule.

It seems that the Hylian race might die out if they stopped building more towns and villagers and start breeding!

More towns definitely. I would also like another beach/cape like Great Bay.

you talkin about the cave of ordeals?

Just imagine hyrule castle town full of activity and stuff to do, secrets to discover, like clock town, but like 10 times larger

To sum it up, you want everything expected in a newer game?

Re: Future towns and cities.

What I really want is a complex NPC interaction. Similar to MM, but far more detailed. Where one guy can be at a fishing pond on a sunny day, while when its raining he is at the Milk Bar. If its just cloudy, he might be visiting a friend in a completely different city/town. i would love to see the majority of NPCs similar to this. With the weather system almost random. Of course over the period of the game you would beable to somewhat control this.

I want a village near the ocean. Where if you were to stand near the docks you can see ships dock and leave the city. Some ships only appear on certain weather conditions. I would also like to beable to actually go aboard the ship, maybe have some side quests to get on. Maybe you can even help fend off pirates for the captain. So we get to set sail!

I want the cities to be large and complex. Where if you know what you are doing, you can get onto each of the buildings and find secrets. Whether its a simple chest, a NPC, a cave. I really enjoyed exploring Kakariko village. I loved going on all the buildings and such. Think of that... now add a crap load of different buildings.

I also want a city of sorts for the criminals of Hyrule. Where pirates can dock their ships. Where you can find thieves and such in the streets. Of course if you are not lucky, you might run into a criminal who recognizes you. You could either stand and fight, or run. If you can succesfully run and escape everyone will forget you. If you fight and lose. Your thrown out for a period of time. So some parts of the town the guards could be stronger then others. To keep things interesting.

Yeah just an idea of what I would like to see in a Zelda game.

more or less, but I'd also LOVE to see a larger and more complex overworld and dungeons and a far greater degree of difficulty.

I love Zelda, but I want a Zelda game that challenges me.

Yeah. I think the NPC's should have a life, like in MM

Re: Future towns and cities.

I'd like the main Hylian town to be like Clock Town, or an improvement. I'd also like to see elaborate towns and such for Gorons and Zoras.

I can't really think of anything new and interesting, but the games sometimes have interesting places. TP didn't do very well as far as towns go. You have one decent village, a place that looks like it has more going on than it actually does, and two ghost towns.

I'd like to see an enormous overworld, with a dozen or so cities, towns, and a few outcroppings of homes. A few for each of the main races.

Re: Future towns and cities.

I'd like to see actual zora and goron cities, not just a big room where they always hang out.

For gorons, it could be tunnels and caves dug into the rocks. For zoras, it could be an underwater town, like atlantis, in which you need the zora tunic (or whatever) to enter. The dekus could live in trees carved in to houses, like the kokiri.

THAT would be cool
