Dungeon Replay
I was looking through my games and thinking that i'd love to play through The Shadow Temple in OOT but i don't wanna play through the whole game again to get to that spot. Then i thought, "What if Nintendo would make some sort of feature, where you could replay all the dungeons that you have beaten?" You could access it from the main menu. It would greatly increase the replay values of all Zelda games. That would be really fun to play a good dungeon right about now...

Re: Dungeon Replay
This should be a feature only once you've beaten the main story of the game... Having some dungeons unlocked mid-game would throw some people off...
And you're right. Having this function could help aquire missed items, discover easter eggs, find glitches, etc. Butplaying just the dungeon in a Zelda game wouldn't be very fulfilling for me... I'm more of the adventure type, not the delving mystery type... but that's just my opinion... |

Re: Dungeon Replay
IF I get what the thread starter meant, then yes. I would love the ability to replay dungeons without having to start a new game and get to that point again.
Mainly because I want to fight the bosses again. Most of them are very memorable. :3 But I agree with triforceplus1, it should be unlocked after you complete the main story.

Re: Dungeon Replay
Just get project64. With the press L to levitate cheat you can get to the shadow temple in ten minutes or so.

I like this idea, I felt the same way about both the Shadow Temple and TP's horse-back boss fight and Old Kakarico mission. |

Re: Dungeon Replay
I agree. I always like going to Spirit Temple in OoT since Gerudo Valley and the temple itself have such cool music, but it is THE last place you go pretty much so I must go through it all again. An area where you could replay dungeons in a slightly more difficult manner for some sort of reward might be a cool area... But would probably be way oo much to put in the game I suppose.

Re: Dungeon Replay
Also, I disagree with it being in the main menu.
They should pull a Nintendo and have it incorporate slightly in the game. Like it's back in links home town, in his magical practice area powered by a fairy or something equally cliché.

Re: Dungeon Replay
Yes, I feel the dungeons should have more replay value to them. Maybe it should be focused towards dungeons instead of just common places in the game. That reminds me of WoW, in a way. Here's a quest, now go to this special piece of artifact from the Fire Temple. And so forth.

Re: Dungeon Replay
You need to visit back in some dungeons because you wouldn't have a specific item that would allow you to access a room yet.
Actually, this was the case even in OoT. You couldn't get the last Skultula in the Great Deku Tree because the room it was in could only be destroyed by a bomb. And woot. My 4000 post!

Re: Dungeon Replay
^^ So was it impossible to get? I do remember that one.
Anyway, this seems like the best idea i've seen on here in ages. I'd love something like this in a new Zelda game, a new mode or something to unlock after you beat the game. OR, have loads of content like Brawl had. Brawl has so much to do you can spend months completing it entirely, literally.
