Windwaker Trilogy

I don't know about what you guys think, but isn't the WW/PH story not finished? Didn't Link leave with Tetra on a mission, not just to sail around? He left to find a new land to be the new Hyrule! That is one of the most crucial turning points in the history of Hyrule. Don't you guys think that there should be a game that begins where Link and co. arrive on the new land, but to find out its in trouble or something? This should definately be a game.

Well, as I recall, the end of Wind Waker states that they were in fact off in the sea for no reason; to better quote, "go wherever the wind takes us." If they were going anywhere specific, the WW series would end much faster. With this line, they've opened for FAR more many games with our Toon Link friend and such. Also, from PH showed us a new enemy for the foreseeable future. I can easily the series continuing sometime soon, in my opinion.

Zelda: "We have a ship we will find it! The land that will be the next Hyrule! So..."

King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule: "Ah, but child... that land will not be Hyrule. It will be YOUR land!"

They are looking for the new land. The quote you posted only means that the gods will guide them towards the new land.

To be thoughtful, I think this part of the series should completely go on. Since it is just a seafaring game, it has a lot of ideas sprouting since in the sea, anything could happen.

Since they have their own land, they should be able to rule it, govern it, and even destroy it. Maybe it ends up as Link and Tetra dying to have their offspring repeat.

This should get noted.

I agree. PH wasn't that good and the WW series isn't finished until we see Tetra and Link set foot on the new Hyrule. I also agree that it should be on the Wii rather than DS because they seemed to oversimplify everything in PH. The opening cutscene could show the ship approaching the land in the WW cel-shaded style, then could fade to realistic graphics as they step onto the land.

Usually games in the Zelda series come in pairs.

OoT and MM, aLttP and LA, WW and PH.

TP is missing it's partner, we will be more likely to see another storyline game with the TP setting in it.

Of course, since they have said they are drastically changing the Zelda formula, we may see an entirely new take.

id love to see a WW style game on land

after PH, lets say the Link and Tetra find this "new hyrule" only its overrun by monters and dark beings, and its up to Link and Tetra to free this new land of this darkness

We aren't going to be seeing a cel-shaded Zelda on a console anytime soon. Aunoma said that they will be using realistic graphics on consoles, and the cel-shaded style on handhelds.

No he didn't. That conclusion has just been floating around ZU, and it' what we all believe will happen. I don't think anyone big at Nintendo has said it is a rule though. You can prove me wrong with source of course.

It hasn't been floating around ZU, I would have come across it more often.

I have however seen the statement in question.

I'd love to see another tWW game. I didn't like PH, so I'd like to see another Wind Waker-sequel, one that is like what The Wind Waker should've been: Aonuma himself said that the game was cut a bit to make the deadline.

I'd also like to see some game in the Wind Waker timeline that confirms the New Hyrule-theory. I'm still a bit doubtful that there's actually going to be a new Hyrule wherein most of the other games take place, but it's by far the coolest thought.

Also, I'd like to see that Aonuma-quote saying that Celda is for handhelds only from now on. I remember Aonuma saying they decide each game's style individually, no matter which platform it lands on.
