Four Swords 3D

Anybody else think that if Nintendo made a new Four Swords or something to that effect in 3D, it could be a big success? I mean, I may be one of very few who actually liked the cel-shaded wind waker style, but another 3D game like that, only cooperative, might be interesting to see.

Re: Four Swords 3D

Actually, PH was originally a four swords project. But then they screwed around with cel-shading and decided to do a WW-sequel.

It would be pretty cool to see a 3D four swords. Especially if you could do the main campaign with friends over wi-fi.

your not making any sense. i have no idea what your trying to say

anyway, i think it would be cool as a spin-off
or based on the wii zelda, but seperate, purely for multiplayer
like metal gear solid online

Hyrule Warlord, quick off-topic question: Why are you not a Deku Scrub if you only have 9 posts?

Back on topic, I'd say no to this idea. I never really liked Four Swords to begin with, but if they were to continue the saga, I'd keep it in 2-D. It's just what it's meant to be played in.

Re: Four Swords 3D

Zelda is supposed to be a one player adventure.

I don't know how it is going to work... I hate playing multiplayer games where the screen splits into four sections to allow yourself to see where you are going.

Only Brawl and Melee are the best multiplayer games since you share the one whole big screen altogether...

Re: Four Swords 3D

I dunno about full on 3D... but FSA was pretty awesome when you have some friends around.

An updated Wii one with DS connectivity for local or something like online... Super, count me in woo!

Still. I'm wondering. Why 4 Swords?

I haven't played the game... but can someone tell me what's different about it... without reveling the end (oh wait... link beats Ganon?)

Because Four Swords is cool. And a side-series.

Re: Four Swords 3D

I personally would love another Four Swords game... I loved FSA (and unfortunately never got to play on the GBA as none of my friends have the game), so another version for the DS or Wii would be great.

Well, mostly because all the other games are either single-player only or don't have a very complex multiplayer mode. Four Swords is multiplayer by nature, and it does its job well.

Well, Four Swords doesn't do that. If it were on the DS, you obviously wouldn't have splitscreen... and if it were on the Wii, I'd guess it would work the same way FSA does. It basically fits all four characters on the screen, much like Smash Bros. does.

Zelda was originally designed as a single-player adventure, yes, and Nintendo will continue making single-player Zelda games. However, the Four Swords series is excellent. Both games have gotten great reviews and have sold very well.

Oh, and you're forgetting Smash 64.

Re: Four Swords 3D

They could create the game with the way that theypresented Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles multiplayer on the Gamecube.

Use your DS (wireless) to play your character.

I think it is all a waste of time. They should put more effort in hard-core Zelda gamers than making their games all casual.

Four Swords is an official Zelda title, not a series. Other than that totally valid.

I'd like to see FS 3D. Although the way I'd go about doing it would be this:

As the DS is the most owned system, put out the cartridge for the game on it. (probably same control as PH) then give it some minigames and such.

Release a wii version aswell. (note they can be bought in a pack most likely 75-80$ saving 10-5$ on buying seperate.)

The way I figure, the Wii can hold the main quest that can be completed in single or multiplayer, while the DS has minigames and extra dungeons, aswell as the ability to transmit data between it and the wii. This could allow for extra content still somewhat like the tingle turner.

Now, the main game can be played 1 player like FSA but the puzzles actually change for multiplayer. Like FS (I have managed to play a bit of the first level solo using 2 games, very hard.) Another option would be connecting with other friends Wiis and playing online using Wiispeak. (notice I just say firends not random people, for some reason I doubt the reliability of random co op.)

You could buy either game seperate but the idea would be a sales ploy. I'm thinking business like. For those people debating trying to get a wii, or when eventually demand goes down and Wiis sit on shelves, a new totally ground up designed Zelda would move consoles. Not to mention the use of DS/Wii functionality.

Also, vaati would look awesome in 3D. Just sayin

Re: Four Swords 3D

I could be wrong, but I believe the team/s behind the Four Swords games are different to the ones that make the proper console versions.

I'd be fine with seeing it.

Maybe it should use the Wi-Fi in case you don't have 3 other people...?

Re: Four Swords 3D

Can somebody please explain to me how FS isn't a side series? I mean, wasn't it released as a side bonus with alttp gba orginally?

for what is is (a party game) four swords is insanely fun. I'd really like to see a 3-D version. I think it could add some really cool gameplay elements.

FSA=full game
FS=full game by itself but due to the nature of multiplayer it'd be impossible to sell enough by itself so it was coupled with ALttP.

Four Swords is not a side series, they are both true Zeldas.
