Time traveler
How about a game where the villian is some one from the futuretrying to change the course of history. I figure it would be put somewhere around the end of adult HoT perils in oot So he has to pick up the Big gorons sword once again and defend hyrule possible with his son who is the same age as Link was when he started his oot quest. And because Link returned his old weapons to there place, he must go back and retrieve them, but the dungeons are changed and monster infested and but he still has expertise.
P.S. Please no "Oh give it up! Let oot go and die! It was a great game for the franchise but let it go!" posts please. |

Re: Time traveler
Giving a villain the opportunity to time travel definitely sounds interesting... though a little bit Back to the Future 2 for me
![]() Lets have a story that detaches itself a bit more from OoT, to allow for some more creative freedoms ![]() |

Re: Time traveler
Having a time traveler would be cool. They could make really nice complex storylines with that.
But the problem Link the 13th is that if you make it in the OoT world... and thus a sorta "sequel" to OoT, people will automatically compare this game to OoT... and things are rarely as good as the original, especially a epic game like OoT. For example, people compare TP with OoT all the time... cause some people find TP was too much like OoT... and of course they feel it can't outdo OoT. Now, if people compare TP... imagine if there actually was a game SUPPOSED to follow in OoT's foot steps? The fans would have a field day, and the game would "suck" (it may have been a good game on it's own, but compared to OoT... you see what I mean) I don't always like it when ppl compare one Zelda to the next all the time... but just look at this forum....

Re: Time traveler
Don't be sorry man. I think it was a good thought. It's just, people can't play a Zelda game following in the footsteps of OoT without comparing it to it. OoT was a masterpiece, and nothing can even LOOK like it's trying to rival it or else the fans hate it.
So if it was totally unassociated with OoT. Actually, it could be cool. I like the idea of time traveling. Though, I think I like the suspense of not know what item or weapon you're getting next and link would KNOW what weapons he's getting... so how would you fix that? New weapons and items maybe?

except for the 'links son' bit but the time travelling villain would be cool a reversal from previous games but personally i would like zelda to move on from from themes like time, theyve been done to death, especially since they would inevitabely be compared to oot and mm |

Re: Time traveler
Why is everyone so crazy about OoT? Everyone's always screaming 'Bring it back!' or 'Let it die!'. I guess I wouldn't know cuz I never played it. My first game device was a GBC and my first console was a GC, and my first Zelda game was Minish Cap, which I really liked. I say scrap Oot (no offense) and bring back the Minish. Power to the tiny!
