steampunk zelda

ok... so heres my random jumble of idea for some future zelda
theeres no real plot as of yet, and its basically off the top of my head
but please tell me what you think, and add your ideas to this

i guess its set in hyrule, but it could work equelly well in termina, maybe even better
it doesnt really have a time period, want to help me with that?
the state of hyrule:
no more royal family
hyrule is ruled by the military, fullmetal alchemist style
i guess it could bear some resemblance to imperial russia
the royal family could function as some sort of underground, protected by sheikah rebels or something
i guess the worlds a lot more serious than before
the gist of it is that royal control crumbled some time ago, followed by a preiod of warring smaller states. eventually some order was restored by the power of the church of the temple of time, but people became sick of their theologicaly promoted tyranny, and the military took control in a popular uprising. the church still wields considerable power though.
thanks to this, hyrule has seen many advances in recent years, largely technological. some sort of process of industrialisation has begun.
the military re-unified the provinces and rebuilt hyrule castle as the bastion of their power.
the military has become a corrupt dictatorship lately, which is to be expected.
to keep their power, they have warred with neighboring states and possibly set up colonies in distant places.
just as a random idea, the first train in hyrule has been developed, and goes directly from castle town (it really needs a new name!) to ordona, the breadbasket of the state, bypassing the areas between them and causing many problems in provinces like faron, parts of eldin and south east lanayru.
gorons and zora are badly discriminated, and require permits to leave their allotted provinces, in an effort to prvent their freedom fighters from causing problems in greater hyrule. ghettos of non-hyrulians do exist, in castle town and other places though.
much of the infrastructure of modern hyrule was built by forced goron labour
at some point the military conducted a brutal war in the gerudo desert to subdue the gerudos, and possibly imprisoned their leader. because im sick of gerudos being the bad guys
one other idea: a lot of power is needed for industrialisation, and maybe there is some sort of (hypothetical to begin with...) energy source possibly derived from the dark realm, maybe even an anti-triforce. obviously, the extraction of this energy might pose a few problems for the enviroment if it means opening portals to the dark realm...

please dont tell me "nice fanfic" etc. i know all that crap, but everybody else is posting their 'next zelda' ideas, so i thought WHY NOT

ps. if you have your own steampunk zelda ideas, please post them here or something

Re: steampunk zelda

who is racism a modern thing? It goes all the way back to ancient times...

anyways I would really like to see a steampunk zelda game (I love steampunk) just no guns.

exactly, racism is the perfect issue to use in the game. it could end up teaching people valuable lessons as well as entertaining people!

i dont really want guns in it either. but if it did have guns, i wouldnt want deku seed guns. that is just such a lame idea
im pretty sure theyll make good use of the crossbow in the next game
