Exclamation Idea for a wind waker sequel

I have a great idea for a new zelda game. I'm not shure if anyone has had this idea before, but i assure you, i came up with it on my own. This game is a sequil to the wind waker, and takes place about 100 years later. In this world, the sea has been draining ever since the link in the wind waker stopped ganodorf. The sea is now at the point of impending doom, and needs a saviour. The great sea has drained so much, that there are remenants of Hyrule underneith. Therefore, Hyrule is not very far down. And with Hyrule on the vurge of return, It is messing up the climate above, and creating a ton of natual(ish) desasters, and Hyrule is also brining its evils with it, because it was never completly saved. And with Hyrule getting closer, that means the islands are WAY bigger, and the sea has more land in it. With hyrule so close, that means gannondorf is getting closer too. Nintendo decides what to do with him. Lol.

Any thoughts?

Windwaker has a sequel. It's called Phantom Hourglass.

Re: Idea for a wind waker sequel

Err... Good fanfic.

But Daphnes did state that this Hyrule that was in existence is gone from the world above. Meaning that it will always be in eternal rest (not that I will know the future of the Great Sea).

But how on earth with the sea start to evaporate? It's like our oceans on earth starts to shrink. Its not a natural process. And Ganondorf is nothing but stone and Hyrule is at peace again since evil is gone from the world.

I don't see anything to take place 100 years afterwards and as Aeffles has said, PH is the continuing sequel from WW.

Re: Idea for a wind waker sequel

Well just to start off... I am obviously aware of the wind waker sequil. Thanks anyway though. Secondly, Eternal legend.

Hyrule has been saved a few times. This is probably not the right wording here, but, nothing is set in stone about its future. Secondly, just as it had fludded, it could aslo un-flud for a variety of reasons either logical, or Zelda magical.... you know, goddesess or something.

And thirdly, i do know that there's a Direct sequil to windwaker. This wouldn't be a Direct sequil, just sorta vaugly a sequil, same world, new story, characters etc (other than link, zelda, possibly ganondorf, he has come back from being screwed before..)

Thanks for the input though, i do apreciate it.

Re: Idea for a wind waker sequel

Well there was some story going around about a Zelda game that will take place before the great floods come. (Flood is spelt flood, not flud).

I don't think a WW sequel just after the game is any better. They need to move on.

How does a sea flood? It'd be like our seas rising leaving a scarce few islands poking up out of the ocean.

A sequel is a sequel.

Err... Everything was mentioned in the game. It would tell you if you were to play it again. Years of heavy and continuous downpour from the Goddesses to rid evil since there was no hero awaken to defeat his deadly wrath.

Re: Idea for a wind waker sequel

Well, to star off, a game before the food would be cool, but, then again, a zelda game taking place anywere would be cool. Maybe it's time for a brand new zelda game. Picking off were none of the others left off. Lately, it's all been sequils off the older game that did well. Maybe it's time to start a new story line(ish) and make sequils off that game latter lol

Another branch into the timeline is going to make all of the theorist's head explode...

Actually, I'm looking forward to it!

Re: Idea for a wind waker sequel

I always thought a cool premise for Wind Waker 2 (you know, what we were expecting before TP was announced), would be the sea draining heaps because the Deku Tree's plan of making new land with planting trees worked, and someone stumbling upon a Master Sword stuck in this big, remarkably man-shaped, stone.

Well, at least I liked the idea of more land. Like, huger islands, but still the ability to sail.

Reminds me, I should play the rest of PH one day, I hate that dumb dungeon where you run outta life.

EDIT:

Actually, that sounds like a something that could actually happen. I can't believe that I didn't see this before... The islands connect to make one big super-continent and sure enough, there is an interesting shaped pedestal of a man with a sword sticking out of his head.

Who is to pull it out? Why it might awaken him again... Oooo I love these sort of imaginations!

Yeah, deku tree theory competly fills in the gaps. Can't believe how i didn't think of that earlier. Does make a certain amount of sense!

Re: Idea for a wind waker sequel

Before any of this happens, we need a proper sequel to Wind Waker. PH made me furious, but it was to be expected. Why not just have the same story with the adult Hero of Winds? It would make more sense, after all.

It doesn't sound like a true sequel. Zelda sequels always have the same Link in them. This plot would require a different Link. The realtionship would be more like OoT_> WW not WW _> PH.
I have one problem with this idea. How many times is pulling the Master Sword going to help Ganondorf? They should find a better plot twist. Other than that it sounds good, if some sea remains with the additional land that would mean you can explore both the sea and the land. Adds variety to the game.

One with an adult hero of the winds would be kinda cool, but i't would be hard to keep it toon-ey looking, which is probably why it will never happen, because if it were a wind waker sequil, i think they would go with the toon graphics type again.
