Name for New Land in WWII

Nintendo released info that the next Zelda game would be land based. Do you think that the new land in Wind Waker 2 will be called Hyrule? It probably will, but i have some ideas for names:

Hothans

Tyrule(Termina and Hyrule combined)

I don't know what these names are for and how they would take place in a game, but i thought they sounded kinda cool. I'll get back to you people with more info on the lands...

PS. Post your ideas and i'll work with you people.

Re: Name for New Land in WWII

I think it will be called Hyrule. Link and Tetra will probably name it that in memory of the old Hyrule.

Re: Name for New Land in WWII

I would have thought it would be called hyrule but then again, (Small spoiler coming up)

At the end of Windwaker when Ganondorf has been defeated, Link and Tetra tell the king they can rebuild Hyrule and everything will be the same as it was before, But the king says that it will not be hyrule, So i think they will take his advice and call it something else. Then again, Who knows?

Re: Name for New Land in WWII

Hey! Isaid i'd get back to you on the whole name thing. Okay:

Hothans: Link goes there after a trip through the Door of Time goes terribly wrong. He is told that an evil threatens the land and that they need his help. He goes to see a wizard at the top of Skull Rock(this place's Death Mountain) who tells him that only after finding the ancient Sword of Light will he be able to confront the evil and go home. ( I refer to the sword of light in another thread) The sword gets broken and he has to find the shards of the sword in order to defeat the evil. They are hidden and guarded by bosses... yeah. You get the idea.

Let me know how you think about this and i'll get back to you on the Tyrule thing. Send in some more names and i'll think of a story! See Ya!

Re: Name for New Land in WWII

Well assuming that all of the zelda games continuity is linked, 1 of three things HAVE to happen, either they found a new place like koholint, labrynna, and erm... .whatever the other one was, and start a civilization there and hyrule is risen from the see eventually. #2 the deku trees allow hyrule to exist again and tetra and link are lost forever or never find new land. or #3 a link the the past comes between OoT and TWW at some point, this is actually pretty likely because the Hyrule of LoZ 1 and the adventure of link dont look ANYTHING like hyrule in ALTTP, and they have a much larger coast line, in LoZ 1 the entire eastern and part of the western half makes it seem a lot like an island (or peninsula judging by the fact it continues to the west and south farther, and that link is from catalia or whatever its called.)

Im not exactly sure which i think is most likely yet though, probably will need to see another game.

Although i do know for sure LoZ 1 has to be 2nd to last since its says it is the end of the story when you beat the game, and that OoT has to be first.

Re: Name for New Land in WWII

Excellent point. Great job. I agree with reason #3 and, part of #2. They might have found Termina, Koholt, or Labranna, and that's a BIG might, but it could happen. Now, my question on #2, why do you think Link and Tetra have to be lost forever?

Re: Name for New Land in WWII

Um, peeps, there is a slight problem with calling it Hyrule: THe King specifically said that he wanted a future for the people atop the sea, and he did not want them to dwell (as I recall) *in the past*! And he also said, that the land that Link and Zelda would find would *not* be called 'Hyrule', since Hyrule has passed out of knowledge and will *never* return. Which means, TWWII will possibly be the *last* in the series to hold the name 'Hyrule', or the *last* in the series, *period*.

Which would disapprove the theory of ALttP being set after TWW. Which would also bring up another question: How would the Master Sword and Ganondorf be able to get atop the sea if they're lost *under* it? You can't! There's just *no* way possibly to have Ganondorf return for TWWII, unless a darker force of evil brought him up; meaning, there will have to be a new villain for TWWII.

Re: Name for New Land in WWII

The King said nothing about the name. He was just aying that the new land would not be the same as the Hyrule that he loved, even if it was named Hyrule.
Your ignoring the fact that in LttP, at the end, the Mater Sword is layed to rest forever. Yet the Master Sword is in WW. Therefore WW must take place before LttP. LoZ and AoL are the only ones that can come after LttP, because their is no Master Sword.

They did? Man that sucks. I just didn't like the whole island thing. You'd think mountain tops would be closer together, right?

Re: Name for New Land in WWII

I agree with epyoncstm about what the King said about his Hyrule not being the same as the Hyrule that Link and Tetra/Zelda will find.

I believe that in WWII that Link and Tetra/Zelda will find a new land and call it Hyrule and that this Hyrule is the same land that appears in LttP only its like hundreds of years before LttP.

i'd like it very much to be hyrule, but it's not likely. The story will probably be set in some land just off the great sea.

Just because someone says somethign doesnt mean its true. The king is exactly that, a king. Not a fortune teller. I think the whole Deku tree's soaking up the ocean is possible. That way the old Hyrule is back. Not a copy, but the original.

I jsut dont like to believe that the Hyrule from OoT will never return

Re: Name for New Land in WWII

Okay.

I agree with the suggestion of making the new land the same as seen in A Link to the Past. Now that would really clear up some of the timeline inconsistencies. It'd be amazing if the new game was called A Link to the Future or something of that nature.

It would really help to make all the games fit into place wouldn't it? And, I'm sorry, but A Link to the Past would look amazing if it was 3D and cel-shaded, don't you agree? But who knows about what enemy will be there waiting to face them. I'd like it to be Ganon... he's managed to escape from his imprisonment everytime beforehand, so I don't see why this game should be any different.

I'm looking forward to the announcement at E3 (April 19th is it?) - that should finally clear everything up and separate rumour from fact.

Re: Name for New Land in WWII

Well, either way, I think the land of TWWII could be something like this:

Nirandor, the Land of New Hope.
