ReDO a Zelda game?

We've seen many remakes. Even Link to the Past GBA was slightly changed. Ocarina of Time had Master Quest.

How would YOU redo a Zelda game?

My redos:

WW-The Earth and Wind Temples, when you beat them, only create a link to Hyrule. You then have to warp through (alone) to Hyrule, and enter the temples from the bottom. It will sort of be the same temple, except there is no partner to carry around, and it will be a lot harder, with more enemies and harder puzzles. When that temple is beaten (there will be no boss), you will end up in the same room you fought the boss in in the first part of the temple. The master sword will then be powered up, and you can even use the temples as a link to Hyrule.
Later on, the Triforce is needed to get into the Castle, and you use the Master sword to break the barrier on Ganon's Tower.

TP-I would have added a shadowy temple similar to OoT, where you get a Twilight mirror shard. The temple will be the same kind of thing, with invisible passageways, fake walls, and the like. A mirror shield is gained here, and the boss is a Bongo Bongo style boss, where you shine light on its eye until it opens, then shoot it. Either there will be 5 mirror shards, or there will be no shard in the Arbiter's Grounds.

PH-I would (obviously) change moving around onto the control pad. Attacking would still be done with the sword. It would be nice if the powers of the spirit gems couldn't be used until AFTER the game, because I put it off until I beat the game so that it wouldn't be too easy. They could up the difficulty by making Link take more damage and dishing out less. If they could have added another temple, maybe a jungle type temple, where one of the -ine metals are found, I would have liked to have a Mirror shield as the item, and the boss would be a Venusaur-looking thing, where shining light on its flower causes it to grow and the boss will be weighed down.

Re: ReDO a Zelda game?

We need Nintendo to focus on creating a new Zelda game. People need to stop clinging to older games and cry out for Nintendo to re-make them. Its really not going to work. Sure TP was sort of an OOT remake but still. We need a new Zelda game instead of remakes all over the place.

Sure it would be cool but still would waste time and money on time they could be spending on new Zelda games.

That's how it goes.

If I had to insist on a remake it'd be TP with more horse battles like the Eldin Field one. I'd make like 10 or 20 throughout. Then add in about 2 more dungeons and make them all longer. Then morph the original dungeons around so they are harder, add stages to bosses and give them more health, and I'd totally change Zant's role in the story so that in the end he'd pop up out of no where stab ganon in the back of the neck and he'd be the new holder of the ToP. More dramatic

Re: ReDO a Zelda game?

This thread isn't to decide what Nintendo should do next. This thread is to talk about how the games COULD have been better, and how we would have enjoyed it.

When people scream OMG NO REMAKES!!!1!! in this section, they look like idiots. This place is to discuss future games and remakes, not to say that peoples' ideas will be Nintendo's next game.

So DISCUSS how you would have improved the games.

Honestly, if you put the words Zelda and Remake or Redo you are going to get people yelling OMG NO REMAKES!!!1!!

But if I had to change a Zelda game or two...

MM-The Great Bay Temple...that was a pain. Make it a tad bit less difficult.

Here's the official thread for this topic:

I'd rather have a brand new Zelda game than a remake, IMO.

That one wasn't nearly as bad as the water temple in OoT.

Re: ReDO a Zelda game?

I'd honestly like to see TWW and TP remakes with more content and better overworlds.

Re: ReDO a Zelda game?

I beg for no more remakes and to get it over and done with the future of Zelda.

What has happened has happened and it should stay that way for the generations of that time to enjoy the games of their age instead of having to watch it get remodelled over and over again.

Zelda will get nowhere if they keep doing remakes.

Re: ReDO a Zelda game?

I don't want them to make remakes either, but can't you people just have fun with this? The question was asked if YOU remake it, how would you do it. Not necessarily if Nintendo remakes it.

Also the only thing I'd like to change is to take that extra 2 hours it would have took to flip Link's model in TP as opposed to flipping everything to make him right handed. I know damn well it can't be that hard to make Link right handed without flipping everything.
