Idea for a game if they don't use Link

PLEASE NO COMPLAINING THAT THEY CAN'T GET RID OF LINK THIS IS WHAT I THINK THEY SHOULD DO IF THEY DON'T USE LINK

IF they make a Zelda game without Link I think they should time it before Wind Waker but after TP, they could make it so at the beginning Link is Killed by Ganondorf and Ganondorf takes the Triforce of courage. Zelda manages to escape and Ganondorf takes over the land and starts having the bokoblins mine through the earth trying to find ancient civilization hoping to find the source of the master sword so that he can destroy it. you play as a member of the resistance fighting against Ganondorf and you must go into the mines of the bokoblins to try Link's items thrown down there so you can infiltrate Ganon's castle and take the master's sword, at the end as you're infiltrating Ganon's castle you find out Ganondorf has just captured Zelda rushing to the main hall you find Ganondorf about to unite the Triforce , first you try to defeat Ganondorf but find out that Ganondorf stole the souls of all the sages, so in a desperate attempt to defeat Ganondorf you strike the Triforce of courage shattering it, causeing mines to to start collapsing making water start flooding the land in the final fight Ganondorf warps to the top of his tower you must work your way to the top of the tower(you're timed because the lands flooding) at the top of the tower you fight Ganondorf and at the end manage to knock him of the top of the tower into the water.

Its a sort of good idea.

But the whole point for the Flooding of Hyrule is that the Hero never came back when Hyrule was in its time of need for the hero. So the people prayed to the Gods and the only thing the Gods could do was flood Hyrule. Sealing the evil underneath water.

So the ending of that idea wouldn't work...so that person would have to die or just fail his or her quest for Hyrule to flood.

Aonuma confirmed the split timeline, there is no between TP and TWW.

The reason for the flood was mention above, so no reason to restate it.

Other than those minor issues, it's a good concept.

sounds okay if your ending was changed to a heroic failure it would have to be very emotional especialy if link is killed.

Well, it wouldn't have to be Link/New guy failing at saving Hyrule, he could just sacrifice himself or something like that. That would be quite sad, but pic at the same time.

Or, you know, they could just make the game where we play as a magic user, or the 'Valley of the Flood' (which is fake of course) idea that we are a lunatic that thinks he is Link. I liked that idea.

Errr... A bit dramatic much? Me having synesthesia and you colouring those words in red doesn't really help portraying them out mate

I like the idea, but Link being killed? C'mon. That is what the Goddesses made him to do. To not be killed so easily, unless it was Ganondorf of course (as you have mentioned).

I think having someone different from Link would be a good choice and idea. Someone who wants to be him.

I wish the Valley of the Floods was real. I wouldn't be disappointed.

Well, zelda without link... just wouldn't really be zelda to me, but, you asked us not to complain about this because this is just your opinion, so i won't get into that. It's an ok thought. The main thing i dont like about it, is how ganondorf kills link. I don't link that. Maybe link could be off saving another world like majoras mask. And the game your thinking about is kinda like what happened when link left. because, i can't remember for shure, but i'm pretty shure link loses the triforce when he leaves hyrule.

A game without the Princess Zelda is not a Zelda game.

However, a game with a crazy kid that thinks that he is Link and a Princess by the name of Zelda exists at his age is a Zelda game.

Links' Awakening was made sad by your comment, as was Majora's Mask, and Phantom Hourglass.
