Hi guys!

OK, people just wanted to say hello. I just joined the community tonite, I stumbled across this site a year or so ago and have been coming back frequently to check the status of any new Zelda games in the works. The night before E3 I got on here and read the project Deluge thread and got super pumped to watch Nintendo's presentation only to be let down with no big announcement about a new game. Does anyone know for sure if there will even be another Zelda released for wii or are we looking at a next gen launch game again?

Yeah, nintendo annouced they are hard at work on a new zelda, unfortunetly that's the only piece of info that was released by nintendo.

Nintendo's confirmed that they have teams currently working on Zelda games for both the Wii and DS. However, other than that, we have absolutely no information as of now.

Nintendo is currently woring on a DS and Wii zelda. Oh and, welcome!

As you probably know, Nintendo announced the WiiMotion Plus. While they haven't confirmed anything about the new Zelda, we can safely assume that Zelda will utilize it. Considering that the add-on will give the Wii the kind of control most of us were expecting before release, Nintendo would be stupid not to use it in Zelda in some way.

Personally I think they are trying to do 1:1, or something close to 1:1, sword control. That means that you would swing the sword and other items freely, rather than just pressing buttons/shaking the Wii Remote.

IMHO, you shouldn't believe rumors like the "deluge" one. You'll often be let down

Welcome to ZU! As most people have said, Nintendo should be working on a DS and Wii Zelda. I just hope they're harder than the recent ones.
Anyway, I also believe that the new Wii Zelda will utilize the wii motion plus. Who wouldn't like that kind of innovation?

The E3 happened and there wasn't a trace of zelda, sorry ol' chap...

But Nintendo did say taht they weren't going to use E3 to announce big game ideas anymore, so it IS possible that we see another zelda this year, maybe...
