Online Zelda game

Idk if this has ever been a thread but ok...

I think it would be cool to have an online game of zelda. Like being able to choose how your charector looks, what race (human, hylian, goron, the fish things, koirki, and elvish), and other stuff

Sounds good, so long as you are not allowed to use any main character.

It would be a total disgrace unless only three areas were used to meet other characters online, such as a place to chat, a place to trade items and a place to fight other characters.

yea that would be a pretty cool idea like a Zelda MMO but as mentioned before no main characters.

If Nintendo wants to make an MMO, Pokemon is much more suited for it than Zelda.

A Zelda MMO wouldn't even resemble a Zelda game. In fact, it wouldn't really be one. It would just be an MMO set in Hyrule. If we saw a Pokemon MMO, on the other hand, it could easily be made to resemble an actual Pokemon game.

Pokemon would make a great mmo and no a zelda mmo wouldnt be a zelda game just zelda themed and if they had a pokemon mmo i would play that and i dont even like pokemon

Zelda MMO= good potential. I think if it was set during the fierce wars pre OoT it would work.
A post/pre TWW MMO setting could work as well. Nintendo could easily just expand the ocean with more islands with patches and expansions.

No main characters. Have it set so far away from the games that there is no "legendary hero" and no zelda (as my two placements would not have been a zelda around.)

the whole point of an mmo is that it can continue on indefinately, meaning NO MORE REAL ZELDA

did i say anything about mmo's continuing stories? learn to read, then read what i said.....
i said that when an mmo is created, it ENDS the franchise, because it goes on indefinately, and HAS NO REAL STORY
it provides an end world in which players can continue to play on indefinately. when an mmo is created, it ends the original franchise because the mmo is designed never to end. therfore, it has no story. it provides and end to the story

and yes, wow did continue the story of the first three warcraft title. you may not have noticed it though, as mmo's to not make the story an obligitory part of the game experience.

and when you say youve played all other three warcraft games
and they are nothing alike, do you mean those three titles, or those titles together, and wow
well obviously they are different because the first three titles are Real Time Strategy Games, and wow is Massively Multiplayer Role Playing Game.

they could all follow the same storyline, which they do

I don't like this, because i'd be worried that it would detract from the REAL zelda games. I don't know if any of you play Warcraft II? LOVED that game! but now that WoW is out, they'll probably never make a new game that the same as the old ones... I don't want this to happen to Zelda
