Oracle of Hours

Nintendo should make a third oracle game for the DS called The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Hours. I don't think that they should make the canceled game The Legend of Zelda: The Mystical Seed of Courage, because the word hours fits in better with seasons and ages anyway.

In this game, Link travels to some distant land and has to save the oracle of hours who was kidnapped. Without the oracle of hours, night and day are out of order. Link will have to use a special item that can change the time of the day. Certain enemies and events only happen at certain times of the day.

I don't know how this would fit in with the oracle series story (which I believe to be at the end of the timeline but that isn't the point), but Nintendo always thinks of gameplay before story. It's about time that there was a hand-held Zelda game with Day and Night (that I know of).

Re: Oracle of Hours

The Oracle of Hours should be Farore, and who said it should fit into the Oracle story? That ones all said and done, I think it should involve a link from a pre-existing zelda game but a stand alone in it's own right.

Re: Oracle of Hours

The oracle series was originally meant to be a trilogy, but due to time and money constraints, Capcom had to scrap their third game. There isn't going to be another oracle game. If they did a system where the two games worked together again, that would be nice though.

Re: Oracle of Hours

They already scraped having a third game, and there's no way they're gonna go back to that now...it's been like 7 years.
It was deemed too difficult to have three linking games, so they took the stuff they had planned for MSoC and put it in OoA.
The Oracle Games are already a bit of a mess, and making a third one 7 years later on a different system would just make things worse.
New game with a new plot plz.

Re: Oracle of Hours

I dont think it would work. Like already stated it is 7 years later and it would feel outta place to have it on another system. No a stand alone totally original game is what should be done no more oracle games.

I expected for this idea to be criticized but I wanted to post it anyway. It would still be cool to have a handheld Zelda game with Day and Night.

Re: Oracle of Hours

I think it hpuld be called Oracle of Nature, Hours sounds like Time or something. The story takes place 2 years later of the oracle games. Farore is kidnapped by the evil Emperor Fandak whom now yields the power to create distortions in nature such as decaying the earth, changing the weather, turning the clean water into dangerous by contaminating it and by making the wind stirr. Link must rescue her by using the clothes Din and Nayru maked for him to protect him from the evils of Fandak.

Remakes ARE good. Simplistic ports are not, IMO. I'd be the happiest man if they actually remade OoX in 3d (particularly if made for the Wii).

Anyways, the concept of Hours is too much like Ages in most senses. And as Kishin stated, Farore is the Oracle of Secrets. If they consider making this game, it should be themed on the Oracle. The themes of Oracle of Secrets may involve some of these:

Enigma
Confusion
Sadness
Happyness
Mind and Heart

They can collide these bright and dark themes and come up with an awesome concept. And even if it has been seven years since OoX, a trilogy can still be fulfilled. The game can sell and satisfy well enough.

Re: Oracle of Hours

Hours still is related to time. Time equals ages.
Therefore, Secrets. Probably a mask system?

I believe that ages means the passing of years, and seasons are the passing of months withing a year. Hours would simply mean the passing of time within a day. Just one day. Not a week, year, nor century. The main difference that would be experienced in this game would be the position of the sun.
