The Wind Waker in future games

Lately Ive been thinking about WW2, and what is most likely going to happen in it. As we all know, almost every zelda game has revolved around a specific item (eg: Ocarina of time, Harp of ages etc) and I was wondering what WW2 would revolve around. Anyway, as it is probably going to be a direct sequel to WW, I thought it may take a leaf out of MM and keep the same item as its predeccessor, but give it a different role/purpose. In this case the item is the Wind Waker, so what Im trying to get at is if the Wind Waker features in WW2, what will its new feature be?

Re: The Wind Waker in future games

They just desperately need to get a lot of songs going on that thing. Ocarina of Time ha6 12 songs that you could play, Majora's Mask has0, The Wind Waker has 6... 6 that's pitiful. I suppose it has to do with the legnth of the game, and the strange method of warping that was used in comparison to the small number of temples, and the lack of song that could just do soemhting cool, yet at the same tiem they were all very functional. Bah, Get a longer game and get more songs in it, really.

Greedy me would love to see the song of soaring in TWW2, even though it wouldn't fit well, what i would give to see that sequence on that engine, event hoguh it is already amazing.

Re: The Wind Waker in future games

why wouldn't the Song of Soaring not fit in Wind Waker 2?? I mean, just because you don't have a giant owl to take you places (as in MM) doesn't mean the wind can't pick you up as it did in WW. Besides, you don't expect sailing in the next one do yOu? I mean, sure..SOME sailing, here and there...but not that much, oH GOD NOT THAT MUCH!! NOT THAT OCEAN AGAIN!!!

The Song of Soaring wasn't based in Hyrule in any matter of speaking. It was a Terminian idea. Termina, another dimension/ land whatever. It souldn't seem logical to have the Song of soaring which was really a propietary thing that wasn't even in both OoT and MM in TWW's sequel, which will in all logic, be based in the same dimension as TWW. I will admit, I want to see it, i just don't think it should or would happen.

They'll be sailing, infact sailing will probably still be a main element and the main mode of transport. The body/ies of water traveled in though, will be a different thing all together i believe.

I hope that the Wind Waker actually changes more of the weather next game, not just wind. Maybe Link will be able to conjure up storms. The Wind Waker has so many possibilities, but will these be used?

Re: The Wind Waker in future games

In OoT the comic, the Watarara race were trying to fly when the Migrational winds come. Probably Link can conduct a song that can help the Rito tribe to fly off somewhere....I dunno just an Idea

Re: The Wind Waker in future games

I personally liked the Ocarina better than the Wind Waker. Not the games, but the instruments.

Playing a flute-like thing, I think, is better than conducting wind. But that's just me.

Ahhh?.....Oh, I see....But it wasn't that bad, in fact it could have been a lot worse....

*Imagines Link playing an electronic Keyboard*

O_o

Okay, so they obviously wouldn't do that, but still...Maybe we can have him find another instrument, but it's not like it's the end of the world if you don't like it

Re: The Wind Waker in future games

Hmmm since this is going to be tWW 2, how about another wind instrument. The only one I can think of that won't sound or look the same as a flute/horn/ocarina is a Harmonica. hahah just imagining Link taking out some cool black shades and jammin a tune, singing about his long love for Zelda hahhaha. but to be serious for a sec, a Harmonica is a small, convenient instrument ( I know he can pull out humungus weopons like the Big Goron Sword out of nowhere but imagine trying to put a tuba in your back pocket.....see my worthless point?).

Re: The Wind Waker in future games

I sure wish that it included the Ocarina, I don't now why, but maybe in a way, that Link doesn't use it. More, like he sees someone else playing it. That would sure bring back memories.

* Link with a electric guitar, LOL

Re: The Wind Waker in future games

ooo oo ooo oo oo oooooo I just got a great/stupid idea. How about every race has at least one instrument and there could be some magical battle jams. Lets say you were fighting some possesed Goron with the Goron Conga Drum, the different beats of the drum can control the earth....(I dunno if you can imagine that)...and you would have to battle the Goron (or monster whatever the case may be) with your instrument.
These are some ideas some instruments can represent the race

Goron=Conga Drum
Rito=Piccalo
Deku=Claranet(sp?)
Zora=Harp
Korok=Violin
kioroki(sp?)=Oboe
Subrosian= Finger Symbols ( you know the ones used in Flamingo Dancing)
Tokay=Steel Drum (since they live on an island, and I just love the sound)
Gerudo= Gong ( I have no idea...this is the only thing that popped in my head)
Fairies=Triangle/Bell
Human=Guitar
Hyrulian=Ocarina

Re: The Wind Waker in future games

I wouldn't mind the Wind Waker to return in Wind Waker 2. I would like to see and hear new songs though like a song to go back into time by 1 day at a time (incase you missed an important event or something). This would be different to MM though because this song would take you back with all your aquired items (includin rupees and bombs) and give you another chance to do something different to change an occurance. Another song could be the song of red lions. This could be used like eponas song (i miss this song , and i miss epona) to call the King of Red Lions to near where you are (only works on water though).
