Re: Should link be the enemy in one wack zelda game?
Yeah, I like the idea. Maybe you could fight a dark version of Link, and he would be at the end of the hardest temple in the game. The battle would take place in an otherworldly room which looks endless. There would be a lone tree in the middle of the room. Link would copy all of your sword moves.
And, this might be stretching it, but he could have an attack which would counter a stab attack from you, where he jumps onto your blade.

Re: Should link be the enemy in one wack zelda game?
hey guys i have an idea
So, the great flood, as told about in Wind Waker. As a game, it would be awkwardly bad, what with you playing Link knowing that you won't win whatever you do, because it's said that "The hero didn't come." But even so, you could have it so that the hero did come, but just didn't overcome the great evil. Playing a game like that would be extremely unsatisfying. It'd be like "lol final boss I DIED" and you'd never get anything else. So, instead we could play Ganondorf. Perhaps he's used all his energy to break the seal, and has to slowly build up his power dungeon to dungeon, the whole game finally ending with fighting Link and "conquering" Hyrule. That way we could fight Link without upturning everything in the series. Of course, some might say that "But you said that losing would be so unsatisfying, yet want us to play Ganondorf who, mind you, LOSES to the Godesses!" but surely, I assure thee, the ending itself is not all that matters, a bittersweet ending is usually the best you'll ever get, but the actual victory over the final boss is something we, as gamers, pursue moreso than seeing our little protagonist enjoy the glory of victory. So, you could have a big final boss that you'd defeat in the end, but still recieve a bad ending. Think Shadow of the Colossus, something like that would work very well. seriously why is everyone assuming link has to be evil for us to fight him ? |

Re: Should link be the enemy in one wack zelda game?
Or even yet you could create your own character and choose his destiny at the beginning of the game.then you create seperate files with seperate destinys and so on and so forth. plus you would be able to choose your weapons, face, clothes, skin color and other features. basically creating a mii fit to look suitable for a LOZ game. but Zelda, link, and ganondorf have to still be main charcters in the series or else it wouldn't be LOZ anymore.
P.S. thanks for the compliment eskiqt21.

Re: Should link be the enemy in one wack zelda game?
I think it would be cool for a DS game... It wouldn't be popular but it could become a cult hit...
I can totally imagine Ganondorf being the "hero" in an alternate universe... They could make a new interpretation of Ganondorf, this version would be the type of person who does whatever he has to do for the survival of his people, rather than a power-hungry tyrant. ... he would still use dark magic and some less-than-noble tactics, but in the end it would be for a good cause... In this game, the king of Hyrule stole a very valuable item from the Gerudos that is crucial to their way of life, and as the king and protector of the Gerudos, Ganondorf sets off to retrieve it. In the end he faces off against Link, who is not necessarily evil, but was sent by the king to protect and defend Hyrule... after losing the battle, Link's life is is spared, and the king exposed and dethroned. The new king then allows Ganondorf access to the triforce, where he touches it and wishes for his land to have peace and live a prosperous life so that they no longer have to make a living by being thieves... There would be a couple of kinks to work out, but in the end it actually could become a great game. |

Re: Should link be the enemy in one wack zelda game?
Lol even though it is a bit whacked it would be fun playing as ganondorf. Expecially since you get to capture zelda out of the castle of hyrule. It would be really fun if they let you design your own character and let you pick the futures of the character. Would also be fun if, like for the fall out 3 version for the computer, you could custom mod and add weapons to the game.
It would also be cool if you could play as Zelda if you wanted to and make her look more sexy (Im a perv, no need to tell me) also if the game was gonna be avalibe for X-Box 360 and PS3 that would be sweet because then the graphics wouldnt suck so bad. Thanks Kallen Kouzuki |
