Still nothing too amazing, maybe Zelda should do more motion capturing? |
I agree. I just think that implementing some well done rag doll physics could help the presentation. Still, I think it would be more valuable to have some sort of damage recognition, similar to that of RE4, which would have enemies realistically react to being hit. Given that Zelda Wii will use the Wiimote (and probably the MotionPlus attachment, I think), it would be beneficial if the enemies reacted to being hit in certain places. You know: you slice from left to right and the enemies spin slightly to their left and get forced back.
Twilight Princess had something like this, and I would like to see the detail of this deepen. And, similarly to RE4, I think enemies should react to where they're hit with arrows, rather than just doing their typical death motion and dying.

The only place they could implement it, would be on enemy deaths, and I don't really see us missing out on anything since they always die in spectacular fashion.
Zelda is dependant on a gravity works straight down all the time physics system, so you can't really implement a world physics system either... |
It really wouldn't improve the traditional Zelda gameplay, but it would help the presentation a lot if it were done well, I think. I mean, it would be cool if you could shoot mounts from under enemies and watch them hit the ground and roll as the mount collapsed on the ground. This could be done with the traditional
recorded deaths too, but I think rag doll physics could add some extra flavor and satisfaction. Still, it's really not necessary.
