The Official Ideas for Future Races and Characters
Here in this thread you can discuss future races and characters.
Please don't bring up characters you want to see again and return from the Zelda series. What kind of races would you like to see? Where would they live? Land, see, mountain, forest, etc? What would their village and culture be like? What purpose would they serve in aiding Link in his adventure? What kind of shops or houses would you like to see? What kind of characters would you like to see? Would they aid Link by giving him items, weapons or spells? What purpose would they serve? Discuss these things and others here in this thread about future races and characters.

Re: The Official Ideas for Future Races and Characters
Well then, I've got a race, The Koragons. Like the Gorons as they live in fire areas, that's the only similarity. They are a teal color with various symbols on their foreheads to define their position among the race. Their appearance are short creatures with two legs from the sides of their oval shaped body with five tentacles coming out from the back end like tails. The tails have claws at the end of the tails and are used for clinging onto things and swing around.
The Koragons have a well-organized government. They have a Peace council as well as a War council to decide whether or not to retaliate in certain conditions or not. The two council debate over this, but it is the leader of the Koragons who decides by listening to what each member of the two councils has to say. Link would come upon them as being seen as an enemy and being sent to be judged by the councils and the Koragon leader. In the end, he is found innocent but is asked to help them with some trouble they've been having for awhile. Link agrees to help and recieves various items that can aid him in battle.

Re: The Official Ideas for Future Races and Characters
Quins, they are mole miners the live deeeeeep underground and use big drills, they have a short temper and never like you or help you.
And another race, the Eri, they are short cupid-like creatures who are good at archery they live at the top of a white mountain you eventually do a dungeon there. Orins, AKA children of the moon, they are elve-like people that bend dark magic to do good.

Re: The Official Ideas for Future Races and Characters
The Walo-Walo tribe. They live in a hot area of the desert and think your an enemy until they see you with the master sword. Then they will assist you on anything you need because they know that you are the chosen one. You eventualy have to come back to do a dungeon here. They live in smaller versions of pyrimids and can survive without drinking water. They eventually give Link the claw shot or something like that.

Re: The Official Ideas for Future Races and Characters
I have an idea for a character (from my Fan-Fiction)... and as usual I'll post a picture of my character, later I also have some race ideas but unfortuantly I have nothing to go along with them.
![]() ::: GENERAL. BURLDON STUKOV BLAVONOVICH ::: INSPIRATIONS / REFERENCES: - A large amount of the General's clothing is inspired from Link himself. The color green of course is a reference to Link's tunic. While the General's hair is also a reference to Link (Blonde) but is also my own hair color, blonde. - The symbol on the strap acorss Burldon's chest has the insignia of a blue hammer and star... This is a reference to my own political beleif in what I call the 'Blue' Communist Party. As for the character, it stands as the emblem of his Army. The Blue Hammer Army. - The Clothing (Coat) was inspired by a picture of World War II General Dwight D. Eisenhowe. - The Brace on his right leg is inspired from many areas, visually I used a similar design to the one seen on Eric Matthews in Saw IV. The Brace represents the characters willingness to fight on despite risk to himself. - The Hammer idea has been around for awhile but my major inspiration for it came from my main SSBB Character: King DeDeDe. SIGNIFICANT INFO: - Burldon is the charismatic and clever leader of the Blue Hammer Army, an organization ran by Burldon with no real allegiance to any side. Burldon rarely losses a major battle and holds a number of key allies throughout the regions he operates in. Standing at an impressive height (6'7) the General is a forceful figure on and off the battlefield. Burldon is an intelligant man whose abilities extend beyond the games of war into the art of engineering, he is also noted for a love of music and this is made clear through a number of things, among which is the use of music on the battlefield to provide inspiration to his veteran soldiers. Burldon, despite his arsenal of abilities has been noted for some odd habits. Perhaps by mental defect or reflex, Burldon has been known for bouts of giggling and laughter when faced in extremly difficult situations or in pain, these outbursts don't usually prove to bothersome but they tell those working around hithat their general isn't completly there. Another factor effects his combat abilities. Physically Burldon is a brute who could cripple an array of characters with a swing of the Imperial Hammer, however a mix between the hammers wieght and his braced leg, Burldon suffers from slow speed while weilding his most powerful weapon. Rarely traveling alone, Burldon is usually accompanied by his guards, Steele and Rickles. Other times he has entire forces guarding his back. Burldon is often calm and calculating, deploying clever strategy in battle, rather it be with an army of by himself. Up untill Link's arrival in the region, Burldon has had massive success influence. How will the arrival of the Hero of Time effect Burldon's standings? ROLE WITH LINK: - From the start Link and Burldon are made out as enemies. Steele and Rickles, before the meeting of Link and Burldon, tricked Link and made off with a large amount of the hero's gear and weaponry. Among the weapons was the Clawshot, a weapon Burldon took a liking to and decided to keep as his own (meanwhile sending off the rest as gift to allies, such as the Zora Armor to Admiral Gill)... Link and Burldon's first meeting was in the remanants of an old Battleground, now a graveyard of sorts. The meetings was short, all dialogue, ending with Burldon escaping using the Clawshot. The two, though enemies seem to hold a mutual respect for the other. burldon always being impressed by the youth's ability to overcome obstacles. What will this Hate-Hate Relationship bring in the future? Will one end up with others blood on their hands? Or will they be forced to draw together for a great cause? PURPOSE: - Burldon's perhaps would be one of influence. Link, as he travels will have to retrieve the weapons distributed to Burldon's allies. Armed forces patroling fields or gathering supplies may attack (depending on if Link wears the Soldier's Armor) making them somewhat similar to the Bulbins (Though, the soldiers don't explode like when u kill one in TP, rather they make a hasty retreat) Burldon's allies serve as massive obstacles in their own will; Admiral Gill serves as a Mini-Boss as he commands the warship Scylla against Link) Burldons troops are mostly announces and obstacles and will usually rarely show up in in Dungeons (Burldon, always seeking to further his influence and ability looks towards some of the dungeons as fortresses and such). Burldon also has several posts and forts in the region, sneaking into one may ultimately yeild the retrieval of a stolen weapon and give valuable information. Burldon himself makes an appearance as a boss (when, I shall not tell, and how, I shall not reveal). |

Re: The Official Ideas for Future Races and Characters
How about a huge ghost tribe? Not like poes, but big creatures that have a giant sword, kinda like how Deathsword did. Not exactly like him(human heads), but they have a horrifying scream that damages 1/2 a heart and a sword that takes 3 hearts away and poisins you. The only way to defeat them is to get a light beam item that shoots at them and they blow up everywhere. There would only be like ten of them.

Re: The Official Ideas for Future Races and Characters
Another BTM Ace... This one doubling as an introduction of a species and character... however I'll give only the profile for the Character:
![]() ::: MATRIARCH. RURI BAKATSUMI ::: SPECIES: - IMMORTAL ROOT (STATUS. NIGHT ROOT) INSPIRATIONS / REFERENCES: - The Plant like quality and look of Ruri and her species is inspired from several sources... Deku (Zelda) Toad (Mario) Ect. - Ruri, like Burldon is an old character design changed... Ruri underwent a much larger transformation then Burldon (A third character is planned). - Ruri's plant like quality resembles a Venus FlyTrap mainly, but there are numerous refrences to other plants on her garb. SIGNIFICANT INFO: - Ruri is the oldest remaining member of her people (though, relative to appearance, she iquite old). She is the Matriarch of her people and has so far show quite the ability of leadership. Ruri rules fairly and is highly influential beyond her own realm. A personal ally of General. Burldon Blavonovich and the Blue Hammer Army, Ruri's skills as a Matriarch and a skillful warrior are in good use, keeping order in the region. Ruri's abilitys are vast, both aquired and naturally. Ruri's most well known ability is her ability to recover from crippling wounds, even able to deploy the ability to regrown severed limbs. Rather then bleeding the normal red fluids of humans, her blood is visible more rather like in appearance and substance, her species requires vast ammonts of water to survive. Ruri also has a child, (as mentioned before she may appear young, but her species grows incredibly old, to reach the status of Night Root, an individual must be over the age of 50, their full livespan expanding far, far beyond that). Her Child is a rare site for the species, not sporting the average green grass like hair, but rather hair of a more golden color. Ruri is a compassionate and, at times, naive person (though, this quality is appearant rarely, he is mostly self-sufficent). ROLE WITH LINK: - Ruri's role with Link is odd. While acting largely as an ally, she is still an important ally to Burldon and the Blue Hammer Army. She will aid Link most of the time but will not contradict her alliance with Burldon. While in her realm, Link has access to many unique poitions and herbs in the region.Special discounts are given depending on how well Links standings are with the Matriarch and she provides important information. On some occassion she offers her skills as a warrior in battle against a common foe, though rare, her presence is strong and always useful. PURPOSE: - Ultimatly Ruri's purpose is to be a major ally, and even friend to Link. Ruri escapes the role of love intrest, in that she already has a child and a husband, though his presense in the realm is never seen and he is never identified, leaving some to believe her husband passed away. In battle, Enemy attacks that strike her are halfed and when not in battle her health will increase by 1/4 every minute. Ruri also played a major role in a temple in the Dhist Region. (Any critique would be nice, you wouldn't imagine how much work goes into these creations... the drawing is hard enough but coloring takes place in Microsoft Paint block by block which is a burden. So any comments would make my wok worthwhile ) |

Re: The Official Ideas for Future Races and Characters
Shadow Corruptors. They would be enemies but they place themselves inside of other things to control them. So you could be in a town or somethin' and then one of the guards gets attacked and now the guard is controlled. So you have a choice to
1. Kill the guard to get the Corruptor out of the body. Or 2. Use a special item you get at some point to draw the thing out. Last 3. Run. This isn't a very good idea but it was somethin' that just popped into my head when I saw this thread.

Re: The Official Ideas for Future Races and Characters
That basically kind of like a poe from WW. It took over your body and you were hard to control for 10 sec. I highly doubt Nintendo will allow you to kill off a guard if its possesed, though. I guess it could work.

Re: The Official Ideas for Future Races and Characters
I'd like the Gorons and Zoras to be fleshed out, capitalizing on their respective domains; for the Gorons, the merchant business, and for the Zoras, the fishing and warrior aspects of their culture. Their respective villages need extensive fleshing out and more sidequests attached to them. I found going to either realm completely pointless after the Goron Mines and Zora's Domain Twilight episodes.
I'd also like a mole-like race adept at digging underground. I have no idea what they'd be called, but it'd be a good premise for a secret world. Also, more Rito plz.

I think there should be an evil race in the mountains where an evil king lives in a mountain fortress. he should be like a largegoblin that when attacked goes right through him like he is a shadow being. and he has no legs he just has black mist underneath him and he floats. and he has hundreds of these warriors and other moblins and lizard soldiers guarding the fortress.

Re: The Official Ideas for Future Races and Characters
Minotaur
They would live in the plains protecting their Grass Lands/Secret Gardens (Which hold flowers that could be used for potions and stuff) If you came in proximity of their gardens they would attack. Their combat style would be the raging bull (Fast coming at you but had to decllerate giving you an oppertunity to strike). -If you move last second, THey would swing Hammer at you at the same speed using all the momentum they used for running at you (You may or may not be within range If you stayed close to them the could just swing their hammer/axe at you and beat you away. They also on occasion Jump and attack which would do the same thing only its alot stronger but you could run under them while they were in the air. If you got in their gardens they call freinds and try and trap you and grab you However, if you find special flowers while you are just running through levels, they'll take them and give you access to gardens But depending on where their Garden is... They may or may not accept your flowers (If they live far away from the forests... they want them... the beach... they want beach flowers... etc)

Re: The Official Ideas for Future Races and Characters
Maybe in a level in the game you have to sail out to an island while borrowing a ship ( this wouldn't be an at sea game.) and there would be pirates with the heads of hammerhead sharks. and a captain with a long eel head and neck. they also have canons.

Re: The Official Ideas for Future Races and Characters
Quote:
Rito should replace Oocca in the next game. They were sweet, and imagine how they would look in non-cell-shaded graphics (the wings would be cool). Since the Oocca were like the descendants of the gods in TP, the Rito could bestow upon Link some super awesome ability so he would grow wings and have god-like power and speed, and could fly. It would be interesting to see how that would work. I would imagine it to be something to only use in REALLY desperate situations(i.e. Ganondorf out of the blue sends a whole f***ing army of darknuts who shoot out bomb arrows from behind enemy lines and approach you at high speed and surround you and each of they're swings does like 5 hearts of damage). A little off topic (a lot off topic, sorry) but I just had a stroke of brilliance, and I had to get it down before it escaped me. |

Re: The Official Ideas for Future Races and Characters
How about an insectiod race, the Rayos. They act under a hive mind (like the borg in star trek), meaning there are no individuals, they are all linked under one consiousness. There is a queen that controls them. They live in a gigantic multy story nest thats about the size as TPs hyrule castle that is suspended in the air between two giant trees (like the TP forest temple in width, but about 20 stories high) in the lost woods.
As to appearance, they would have 6 limbs total; two large one that they use to stand on, with the other 4 functioning as arms. They also have two pairs of wings. They are a black color with orange stripes making patterns across thier bodies, and glowin orange eyes. The queen is gold in color with silver stripes, blue eyes, and has eight limbs (4 to walk on and 4 to use as arms) and controls the rest of the hive, as well as making all the eggs.
