Gregdawg, you seriously are acting like a jerk right now. Just because you are pissed off about something that is actually pretty insignificant does not give you free reign to spam other threads.
Back on topic: The lens of deception is pretty neat, but it doesn't have much use other than to hide Link. It would be too unruly to make other items invisible like that, it would cut down on the gameplay. |

Anyway, I thought long and hard about it, and I can honestly say that I couldn't think of anything truly original that could be used as a weapon. I mean, I could just go with my Brick idea for the umteenth time, but it just wouldn't be the same. Then, I realized that I was thinking on too grand a scale. A viable weapon or item doesn't have to be a hugely powerful weapon of mass destruction. Thusly, I thought on a smaller, more realistic scale, and this is what I came up with. Keep in mind that they're mostly revisions of current items, but I'm working on some ideas that are a bit more original. Heavy Boots Uses: Heavy Boots essentially serve the same purpose as the Iron Boots, which is to sink in deep water. However, they lack one distinct feature: magnetism. Unlike the Iron Boots, the Heavy Boots cannot stick to magnetic surfaces. Appearance: The Heavy Boots are made of thick, heavy leather that is a rough matte brown in color. Beneath this leather is a lighter, smoother leather. These two layers are bound at the top and sides by thick, heavy string. There are also two heavy bronze shin plates. The soles and toes are coated in lead. Wooden Boomerang Uses: As with the Heavy Boots, the Wooden Boomerang is essentially a dumbed down version of, say, the Gale Boomerang. It possesses no magical features, and cannot target multiple targets at once. Appearance: The Wooden Boomerang is made of simple oak, and is bound with leather on both ends. Red paint decorates it.

you can use it to capture the spirit of an enemy and temporarily take on their appearence not sure whered youd get it use it sneak past enemies such as guards, or to just have some fun

This is just my list of various bombs that could be possible. Or impossible, you decide.
Large Bombs: Basically the Powder Keg in which it is used to blow away really big boulders or to destroy a large group of enemies. Shrapnel: A grenade bomb that damages enemies but also weakens their defense, speed, and attack strength. Airbourne: For those annoying flying monsters. Set one down, it will begin hovering in the air and bang! bye bye birdy. Sound: Huge sonic boom that stuns your foes temporarily. Omega: Two words - BIG BOOM!

Side quests, probably ones that would increase the levels of every item per sidequest. A Cave of Ordeals-esque thing might work too, but that would bring those items to a moot point as they could really shine in those parts of the game. Using Farore's Resistance to do some massive AoE (area of effect) when they get closer could be useful.

Why not? If you revamped the weapon to fit a 3-d style, it would be pretty neat. Like a labyrinth only navigable via use of the switch hook. With the help of the iron boots, one could use the switch hook to get on walls and walk through doors in different angles. The applications are endless.

i had some ideas that were apparently lost in the hack. here they are again:
1. the inclusion of some items from the 2d games in 3d games. especially rocs feather (allows for jumping and acrobatics. imagine how useful this could be in combat.) and pegasus boots (screen gets bluurry and you travel at super speeds. unlike other games you can turn while using them, but it is a humongous turn radius. also, you will slide if you remove them while running, allowing for some cool ways to attack enemies by slashing them on the slide. finally, if you stand still with them equipped, the rest of the world will slow down around you, but you cant use any items, just look around) 2. many more armors. some could be: climber's gear (imagine link in medieval stle himalayas climbing gear. fights with two ice axes, so its not good verse most enemies. allows you to climb certain walls, walk unhindered on ice, walk up steeper grades of slop, and place down rope lines for use as ziplines or to climb up and down.), darknut armor ( at full health, you are slow but heavily protected. as you lose health, peices fall of and you will get much faster) and some others that ill put up later

A sort of a hangglider kind of thingie. Not your average, magic-consuming dekuleaf, but a real hangglider. for those hard klimable mountains and secret groves (fairyfountain like plases). That would be nice. To be able to acces more mountainrange than just one mountain that usually is the Death mountain.
Another idea would be spiked boots. No more slipping away on those icy surfaces.
