The Zephyr

What is it?
The Zephyr is a feather-shaped talisman grafted onto an iron gauntlet/fist weapon. This gauntlet resembles a fingerless glove made of chain mail, and has a number of curved, aesthetic spikes crudely grafted onto it. Link will be unable to equip this item with a shield.

What does it do?
The Zephyr's primary function is to (temporarily) strengthen the user by consuming the tainted magic of fallen enemies (As not every enemy in the game is influenced by dark magic, Link will not be able to use this on every corpse, instead only on ones that emit a certain aura). In order to activate it, Link must use it on the corpses of fallen enemies.

Initially, the Zephyr is extremely inefficient; its sole use upon Link obtaining it is creating gusts of wind to slow down and knock back enemies. As Link uses it more often, more abilities will become available. Also, the aesthetic blades grafted to the glove will slowly grow into his hand, causing a loss of health each time Link takes it off.

Abilities(4)

Hurricane
Rank (1) - Link uses the Zephyr to create a strong wind, stopping any enemy's movement in a 10 yard cone in front of him, and pushes the enemy back. Consumes (1) charge each second of use.

Rank (2) - Link uses the Zephyr to create a gale-force wind, creating the same effect as Rank (1), but also damages every enemy in the area for 1/4 heart each second the enemy is exposed. When the effect stops, all affected enemies are knocked back 10 yards for each second Link was casting. Consumes (3) charges each second of use

Phantom Strike
Link consumes (1) charge to empower his weapon with dark energy. Link's next strike will do double damage, but inflict an equal amount of damage to himself. This strike will inflict normal damage on armored targets.

Dark Barrier
Link uses (2) charges each second to create a stationary dome of light around himself. Enemies and physical attacks are unable to enter the barrier, but Link is unable to move while casting. Link will still be vulnerable to magical attacks.The dome will slowly expand until all charges are expended or until the effect is cancelled.

Lighter than Air
Link consumes any remaining charges within the Zephyr to reduce falling speed and enable himself to walk across normally uncrossable areas (such as quicksand, water, and air). In areas such as rivers, Link will be unable to move against any opposing current. This effect lasts 10 seconds.

Other Quirks
The Zephyr's power manifests a crippling attachment to the user. If the Zephyr is empty for prolonged periods of time, it will begin to slowly leech off Link's health until it is replenished to full power (6 charges = 6 Hearts). Eventually the Zephyr will develop a mind of its own, forcing Link to kill others and take their life energy, regardless of the presence of dark magic.

Actually the game was for the Wii and 360, not PS3. But anyway, you got the name wrong. His name is Zephyrus, not Zephyr. Most people would not know who that is, so no it does not give it away.

I mentioned Zephyrus in my previous post. anyways, I wasn't aware of the game Zephyr for the Wii and Xbox 360 when I posted the idea

Anyway, I think Link's new weapon should be a sword. Tentatively called the 'night and day sword'
{yes, sucky name)☺ I think the sword's use could allow him to change the time of day by stabbing seals placed all throughout Hyrule... ...along with this, there would have to be a temple that changes from night to day(or vice-versa), using the sword's power, and changes the gameplay, puzzles, and enemies within> including the boss.

While this isn't super cool and original, it really is something I could see working and making sense.

Personally, I don't like it. But hey, it could work in a fan made game.

What about a chain with a grapple on the end (kind of like the grappling hook). It would be used only by horse back to latch onto an enemy and then drag them behind your horse! A little cruel, but maybe King Bulbin would have given you his key earlier if he was subjected that punishment!

The claw shot has claws that hold onto a grate. This has two spikes that tear into an opponents flesh and drag him... Also, the claw-shot is mainly used for transportation whereas this is mainly used for torture.

Man, I thought the first comparison that would come up would be the hook shot and not the claw... huh. Anyways, I wasn't being too serious about this weapon. I mean, I don't think any Link would resort to torture!

Hmm, Id like a weapon that you have to collect pieces for, like finding shards for the triforce. Maybe a glowing version of the Master sword??? It would be cool.

Actually, it isn't that stupid, like it's really something I could see in the next Zelda, it's more likely that my "whip" idea.

Gems

Basicly, as Link travels through Huryle, he finds different gems. These gems are the secret treasures of Huryles gribes, that have their magic fused into them. By attaching these gems to Master sword, Link could use each tribes secret magic as his advantages. At the end, Link must find King of Huryle, who fuses the magic of the stones and enchants it with the ancient magic, so that Link can wield light in his sword.

Stones:

Aquatic Sapphire
Held by the Zoras, this sapphire holds the power of water. If Link attaches this into his sword, he can swim beneath the waves. Using this sword in combat is useful against fire enemies. Ice and Lightning attacks do extra damage to Link.

Ametist of skies
Held by the Rito, Ametist of skies allows Link to jump long distances, and fly from place to another. Link cannot fly upwards, unless hes met by updraft. Link can only travel short distances, because using this diamond takes Links power. When Link lands, his power is automaticly refilled. Using this sword stuns enemies for longer times, but if Link is hit also makes Link stunned for a long while.

Emerald of forest
Held by the Koroks, this Emerald allows Link to take power from plants and enemies. however, if Link is met by any Korok, and hasn't recovered the trees that he has killed, Link will be set under a curse that takes 2 hearts per each minute those trees aren't recovered. That's why it's recomended to use this device only on enemies. You can recover lost trees by supplying them with a heart of his health. Link can use the energy to temporarely make him stronger, dealing more damage. He can also use the power to recover his health or make spells.


Infernal ruby
Held by the Hylians, this Ruby symbols the fiery soul that the warriors of Huryle posses. Being the last gem Link obtains, this ruby allows Link to set things on fire, and melt ice. It is 1.5 times stronger than master sword, by any damage done to Link will be doubled.


Rock of earth
While seeming to be worth of nothing, this rock allows master sword to turn into a enormous sword, so large that shield cannot be weared if using it. This sword is so powerful, that you can break craggy points on the ground and walls. It does twice the damage as master sword, but if using it Link cannot dodge attacks no way other than running away.


Diamond of light
Housing the power of all the gems, Diamond of light allows Link cut through darkness. It pierces through evil and is the only way to break the seal that Ganon has placed to the gate to other dimension. Holding the sacred power of gods, it's also so powerful that all enemies in the Darker dimension die from single hit. In the normal dimension, it allows master sword to held its true power. That's why with this sword, every enemy in cave receive twice the damage. Outside, it is faster than the other swords.
