Also, it is believed that when one has the complete Tetraforce, it is impossible to control its power. People use Fierce Deity Link from Majora's Mask as an example. It is believed that in a past incarnation in the Zelda timeline, Link had found the complete Tetraforce and became immortal. He could not control his power, and he caused much destruction, so the Goddesses created the Song of Healing, which was used to seal the Fierce Deity inside a mask. It is thought that Fierce Deity Link may have been evil in the past since the child wearing Majora's Mask on the Moon tells you that you will be playing the bad guy when he hands you the Fierce Deity's Mask. Also, if one looks at the Fierce Deity's armor, there is a triangle on the armor over his left pectoral muscle, this could possibly represent a fourth piece, or perhaps it shows the triforce compleated with a fourth triangle for the center hole. Some timeline theories argue that the Light Force from The Minish Cap is the completed Tetraforce. This is possible if The Minish Cap takes place before all other Zelda games, and some unknown event after The Minish Cap and before Ocarina of Time causes the middle piece of the Tetraforce to unbind itself and become lost. The Triforce could have earned its name representing an incomplete Light Force, or otherwise Tetraforce. Another possible theory is that at the end of The Minish Cap, Vaati states that when he tried to absorb the Light Force from Princess Zelda, he could not absorb all of it. This could mean that the portion of Light Force he did not obtain became the "normal" Triforce. These are the theories for the fourth piece's fourth goddess: Goddess of Time This theory is widely regarded as being foolish, though there are still some people in the community that support it. It is speculated by some that the missing "piece" represents time, and some supporters have used Princess Zelda's mention of a Goddess of Time in Majora's Mask as evidence. However, detractors point out that there's also some evidence to suggest that Nayru and a goddess of time are the same being. The Goddess of Time may be Farore, however, as Ciela states that she is the spirit of courage and of time, though no mention of the three goddesses is made in Phantom Hourglass. Sand Goddess Other theorists claim the "Sand Goddess" represented by the Desert Colossus could be viewed as evidence for a fourth piece. This Goddess would explain the existence of the Gerudo, as while Farore created life to uphold Nayru's law, this supposedly Evil Goddess may have created life that would break the law and as a result she could have been banished along with her piece of the Triforce. Zelda (Hope) Some people believe that Princess Zelda is the 4th goddess, and represents the fourth piece of the Tetraforce, hence her pirate reincarnation name, Tetra (from The Wind Waker) which is Greek for the word "four" (although this most likely has to do with the fish species tetra and not the Tetraforce). There is a symbolic cut scene from The Wind Waker, when Tetra's necklace piece unites with a small triangle given to her from the King. This could be seen as a visual metaphor of Zelda owning the fourth piece of the Tetraforce and having the ability to unite it. Unfortunately for these believers, Link also came across the instance of needing to combine his Triforce of Courage thus proving that it is unnecessary to possess the fabled 4th piece to combine the shard of a piece of the Triforce. Another possibility is that the fourth inner piece represents hope; this theory comes from the Oracle games. Since there is the oracles of seasons, ages, and secrets each corresponding to a piece of the Triforce (seasons=power, ages=wisdom, and secrets=courage) and eventually Princess Zelda comes along claiming to be the oracle of hope, possibly meaning that she is corresponding to the fourth piece of the Tetraforce. It is also possible that Zelda had actually always been a goddess of hope sent to Hyrule to be continuously reborn as the Princess of Hyrule. Kindness The fourth piece could represent "Kindness", as Majora's Mask featured four Great Fairies in the four directions, called the Great Fairy of Courage, the Great Fairy of Wisdom and the Great Fairy of Power. The fourth one was called the the Great Fairy of Kindness. This is from research on various sites. |

Stalgon
A stalfos with twin swords, and a dragon head. It does a wide variety of sword techniques and can also breathe fire. Is extremely fast and powerful. You fight it in hyrule field after a cutscene upon completing a dungeon. You fight it until day breaks (an endurance boss), where you get a heart container. If you hit it 255 times, it actually dies (an epic easter egg). |

Yeah that's the point. However it would be cool if there was an easter egg where you could actually defeat it in battle.

Re: Official Ideas for Future Bosses Thread
Name: Stonedroid
Location: Temple of Time (TP). Basically, you''re on a big circle saw. It moves either left or right, depending on which way the boss runs on. The boss is 10 time larger than you are. He will fire out shock waves at you, making the screen go all blurry, hazy and moving, like you're stoned. Your job, is to use the Dominion rod, to aim for his power orbs that holds his legs. You have to detach both, one wont do, he will just hobble and try to summon it back. When his feet is detached, he will fall, his arms, head, and mid body will detach. His head is now vulnerable, you an strike him. However, his hands will shoot laser at you, or grab or crush you. Too take them out, use the boomerang. After the first phase, he will summon his body parts by force, and will jump on the saw circle, to call fort 2 spinning saws. The final phase, 3 more spinning circle saws- And he will get more rough. Try to jump on you, run left and right. And each time he lands, he will cause earthquake, causing you to paralyze for 2 secs. [B] |

Garo Clan(ambush)
Location: Random field after all heart pieces are found This is an endurance test where you fight 1001 Garos (the ninja guys) You can't escape, and the Garos have better moves. The last one is accompanied by two more and they have fire, ice, and lightning weapons.

Re: Official Ideas for Future Bosses Thread
I always thought of this beast when I was little. So I thought it would be good for a Zelda game.
![]() THE KRAKEN: When you start the battle, it will show a cutscene where you walk into this grand underwater cave. You hear rumbling as the Kraken bursts out of the water. Your fight begins. Now, the only problem is dodging its attacks. The Kraken has multiple uses of its tentacles, and you have to be careful. The first attack is it hits you, either sending you into the water, or hitting you causing serious damage. Now the problem with the water is that the Kraken will swim under you and eat you, causing instant death. The second attack, (It will hardly ever use this one.) it will attempt to grab you with its tentacles and use it to suck off your face with its suction cups. This causes a lot of damage, so be careful. The third attack, is it will grab you and throw you, which doesn't cause a lot of damage. The fourth attack, is it will smash into the wall and cause rocks to fall on you, also not to big of a deal. The last attack, (it will only use this when you are about to defeat it.) is when it will use two huge tentacles to smash the platform you are on, causing the platform to break, and if you get hit, instant death. Now to kill this deadly creature from the deep, shoot it in it's huge eyes to weaken it. You will have to shoot it multiple times for one of the Kraken's eye to be seriously damaged. When it is seriously damaged, a tentacle will land on your platform, giving you a bridge up to its head. Now, use the Hookshot to graple the seaweed on its head and climb up it. (If you try doing this before you take the eyes down, you will get thrown back onto the platform, or possibly worse, into the water. ) Now on its head, there is a small bump there, slash it to cause horrid damage to the Kraken. (If you don't get the right enough hits on it, the eye will heal.) Now, it will shake you off back onto the platform. Now do this until its three eyes are gone and finish it off at the end. The last cut scene shows the Kraken smashing into the wall many times, and the rocks from the ceiling falling on it, creating a path out of the underwater cave.

Re: Official Ideas for Future Bosses Thread
What would you like to see?
An enemy like the dragon in The City in The Sky level in TP What kind of fighting strategy? Instead of having to weigh it down, you target it from a high point and when it reaches you, you have to jump onto it. While doing that, you have to manuver your way to it's head to stab it in a weak spot causing it to lose control. Once it does that, it crashes into a wall or something and then falls. Once it falls, you continue hitting it with your sword Any certain items you'd like to use against the boss? A sort of hootshot or clawshot How much damage should his attacks cause? One swooping down attack makes you lose 2 hearts (you'd face it later on in the game so you have plenty of hearts) and one fire breathing attack makes you lose 3 Should the boss follow the three hit / five hit pattern? idk what you mean by this but i'm assuming you mean 3-5 hits, enemy recover, 3-5 hit, enemy recover, 3-5 hit, enemy dies |

That's sorta like the one I thought of. But I suppose you're the original person to think of it. But with mine, you don't ride Epona, you try to make your way up to a tall pillar and jump down on it. Then make your way to the weak spot and ride it as it falls down. After that, you continue hitting it. I like your's. It's different. ![]()

Re: Official Ideas for Future Bosses Thread
What would you like to see?
Real AI. What do you mean by that, oh Otuz the Overlord? Instead of the silly patterns that the bosses usually repeat, it should feel like a real being. You know, not showing it's vital spots (blinking with red) to you, not doing the same stuff all over again etc. Rather, it should running around it's 'lair', trying to hurt you in various ways while defending itself from your attacks. The boss battles should be hard, sweaty and rewarding. The bosses should give their best to kill you, not lurk in a corner, waiting for you to attack. What kind of fighting strategy? Instead of a specific pattern, you could also use various methods. You could use the environment to damage it in different ways (dropping rocks to it's head, crashing it down through floors), you could use you excessive collection of weapons etc. Any certain items you'd like to use against the boss? No. I'd rather abolish the dungeon->item->boss mechanic. However, there could be certain items that are extra helpful against certain bosses, but not compulsory. How much damage should his attacks cause? The normal attacks should only cause minimal damage, they'd rather smack you around and/or distract you. The bosses should have special attacks that are easier to dodge but do massive damage (scorpion's tail, giant's club). Should the boss follow the three hit / five hit pattern? Hell no! Haven't you be listening to me, huh?! Instead of any specific patterns, the boss should have various ways to die. For example, you could hack the legs of a giant spider, then going on to slash it's head, or you could fool it off a cliff, or something.

Re: Official Ideas for Future Bosses Thread
angered captain, gold bubble:
by which i mean the flaming skulls from WW/OoT. the "arena" would be a square platform, withwaterfalls running down the east and west walls, into pools. the edges where the floor meets the wall would be curved at the center. the boss would be the basic design of a bubble, skull an what not, but the flames would be gold, sparkling gold. it's also covered by a barrier. it would have an eyepatch over it's eye, being a pirate captain's ghost. the pirate captain was overthrown by his crew, and cursed them before he hit the water. they each died off, and the captain is guarding his treasure in an underwater cave. item in the cave: pegasus boots. these are so fast, you can run up walls and ceilings, as long as the walls are curved. if you press the attack button as you fall, link does a powerful downward slam. attacks: flame breath: it is what it is. does 1 heart of damage and slowly does more. tackle: flies at you from above. deals 1/2 a heart of damage. curse: deals 2 hearts of damage and makes the controls reverse. clone: splits into four different versions of itself and takes turns attacking with a fireball, which does 1/2 a heart each. when the real boss attacks, his eyes light up, and the flames die down. that's your chance to use the pegasus boots to ram him into the pool. then run up the wall and use the downward slam to attack him, shatter the barrier, then use standard attacks to hurt him. repeat two more times. |

Re: Official Ideas for Future Bosses Thread
You know what, bosses need to be more like dark Link in OoT. Where they can counter your attacks and be able to read your moves. He was really hard if you used the Master Sword. I mean the fight would go on and on. So I'm thinking maybe enemies should be like that to.

Re: Official Ideas for Future Bosses Thread
I would probably choose someone like Koh the Face stealer from avatar.
Place to Find him: A deserty cave in the middle of nowhere....yeah sure, why not? He looks like: Himself. Duh. http://www.musogato.com/avatar/pics/koh.jpg There you go thats him. Okay, you walk in, And links looks around like "hey theres nothing here." Navi says exactly that and turns to leave. "Come on *Whatever your name is* " She says, and opens the boss door. Then, it closes again. Rocks fall from the ceiling, and Linky-boy looks up. He sees a face in the distance and gets out his arrow to fire at it. Koh falls to the floor and shows himself to Link. His weakness: Uh...a mirror? He can take peoples face if they show emotion and, because he himself shows all sorts of different emotion, use the mirror to fool him into grabbing his own face and ripping it off, then you attack the hole where his face was.' Way to kill him: Koh will have three different faces, Din, Nayru, and Faore. When he puts on his (Red) Din face, he can shoot fire at you, use the fallen rocks from the beggining to hide from them, then use the mirror. On the (Blue) Nayru face, Koh can summon an invincible Skeleton that will charge at you, make it hit the wall, and it will become angry. Make it hit the wall again, and it will jump up and down in anger and make a rock squish it.then, use the mirror. Theres no use trying to fight the skeleton. Finally, when Koh uses Faore's face (Green), he can make two of himself, one on the floor, one on the ceiling. Shoot an arrow at one, if it is the right one, he will fall to the floor and wriggle about for a bit, then finally get back up, he will not have a face for a while. His Faore face will return soon, when it does, use the mirror. If you shoot at the wrong Koh, the real one will do you some injuries. (He is the Second to last boss, so i hope he doesn't come across to easy) Attacks: Face grab: Grabs Link's face, but doesn't tear it off. ( 1 heart= weakest attack) Face throw: Grabs Link's face, and throws him across the Room into the wall (Ouch, 3 hearts...) Face Steal: Shows Link his own face, press the buttons on the controller that come up on the screen. If you do, Link portrays no emotion and Koh walks of sulkily If you can't do it, Link does his usuall "Ahhh!" Thing from Oot and Koh grabs links face and pulls it super hard, but i doesn't come off. (Phew. Ahhahahahahah!!!!!!! 5HEARTS NOOOO....) ![]() That's pretty much it about Koh, if there's anything else i need to ask, please tell me. |
