Ganondorf & Link

In the games he stars in, Ganondorf is the main antagonist.

But, I thought it would be cool if in the next Zelda game, Link & Ganondorf had to team up against a greater force: Majora, Vaati, etc.

Does anyone else find this idea interesting? Maybe even controlling Ganondorf at times?

As long as Link and Ganondorf still hated eachother, as well as a feeling of distrust towards Ganondorf, then yes something like that could work if done right.

Hmmm... I don't know about this idea. I can't see Link or Ganondorf happy to team up with each other.

You can imagine after the battle that Ganondorf will fight Link in order to claim the treasure or something. I don't think that they can ever trust each other. They are like oil and water. They can never mix or agree to work together.

Comparing it to oil and water you can say that they can not mix, but they can still coexist together just fine.

If Nintendo pulled it off just right, it could prove to be an excellent game.

For some reason, I always love it when this kind of thing happens in stories. The hate and distrust would make it interesting to see what would happen. And then, considering the team up would last longer than one day and they had to spend said time in the same place, neither of them could sleep while the other one was around. xD

Anyway, it has the potential to be great if done right, but could also be just weird and really bad. It would be fun, but I don't think Nintendo would do it.

I like when these things happen. It makes the teaam stronger and more likely to win. I think it would be cool!

It could work. They may have teamed up, but they still would hate each other.

Sounds too much like a Disney movie. I choose to enjoy Zelda for it's three main things: violence, cool weapons/tools, and deep plots. Now if Link had the Triforce of Power instead of Ganondorf, that would be awsome. Imagine the amount of power that would be at your disposal.

well hey they did it in smash brothers brawl. so why cant they do it here?

^ They don't really help out in Super Smash Bros. They just team up because they are forced to be put in a team by players.

It's not really significant. And it doesn't go in the Zelda games as 'Ganondorf and Link' team up.

I usually put Link and Ganondorf in a team together, but it really isn't that big news.

Actually, in the Subspace Emissary storyline, towards the end Ganondorf is in a trophy state, and after Link and Zelda are revived, they realize that they'll need all the help they can get, and agree to revive Ganondorf as well... Even though he was one of the major antagonists.

So yeah, they have worked together, even if it was for like... 5 minutes.

Well it doesn't have to be canon, it just shows that a situation where Link and Ganondorf had to work together could be pulled off.

Doesn't seem like it would work out, after all, they've been (attempting to) killing each other.

It worked in Mario, but thats a whole different thing.

Ganondorf/Ganon would try to kill Link, Link would then fight back and then kill him.

I really do not think there will be a Zelda game with Link and Ganondorf/Ganon teamed up to face beings of less power such as Vaati, Majora's Mask, etc.

I don't care for the idea, but saying that I know it might happen. It's the same thing Nintendo did with Mario & Bowser, and it was bad enough there.

Also, I just don't want Ganondorf guarding my back.

It was a good game, and it wasn't Nintendo exactly..
