Re: What should the next Zelda be rated?

Does it really matter what the game is rated? Playing a Teen or Mature rated games isn't an indication of your maturity, nor is it an indicator of the maturity of the game or the game developers. The game's rating is simply an indicator of what the ESRB have deemed to be the minimum age at which the game would not leave a strong negative impression upon a majority of the population. If you require your games to be mature or teen rated by the ESRB then you shouldn't be playing mature or teen games as you're immature enough to receive a strong impression based simply upon a little black letter in the corner of a game, a little black letter which in no way reflects the style, feel, or quality of the game.

The ESRB was created because of pressure put on the industry by the US government. It serves no purpose other than to inform parents about the advised age before playing the game, and should be treated as such.

I assumed the poll was for minimum rating, so I chose early childhood.

Re: What should the next Zelda be rated?

Personally, I would prefer a high-T or a low-M title. Since the M rating is a little far-fetched, though, I'm going with T.

Re: What should the next Zelda be rated?

Everyone 10+.

Not as supposedly "mature" as TP, but having dark themes that push it over E rating.

Remember, Majora's Mask was rated E!

E10. It isn't kiddy but doesn't go overboard and allows for a darker story.

EC? That was a joke option! But you don't seem to understand. I just wanted to know what people wanted the next game to be rated. Thats all.

I think they should make a good game and let the ESRB deal with that.

^ I agree.

Twilight Princess was around the 13+ age group and to me, it felt like Ocarina of Time's rating. Even Majora's Mask, being one of the darkest Zelda games ever released, it was rated for 'Everyone!'

Re: What should the next Zelda be rated?

not higher than teen, because i wont be able to buy it. That's some stupid rule from Belgium. If you are younger than the age on the box, you aren't allowed to buy it.

Horny pervert -_-

I'd like to see a T game, due to the fact M games usually ruin a series that's been E-T so far, an A game would suck due to obvious circumstances, Ec, as long as it was Zelda, I wouldn't complain nor give crap, and e would be okay. I'd like to see another MM-style game. Except kind of a TP-MM sequel, y'know?
