I'm inclined to believe that this is fake. It looks so awesome.

The sad thing is that Nintendo probably won't come up with something better.

Hey don't have doubt on what Nintendo can and can't do just wait till E3 trust me. *wink*

Just to put this out there. There is also the possibility that this actualy leaked about a different game, and someone maked it out to seem like a Zelda title for fun.

Don't you think that if three quarters (I'm guessing) of the population is wiped out, there'd be less technology? I'm guessing the hero will die, though. People, he's a psycopath, and probably not a friendly guy. I have a feeling they'll have a sanity meter like Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, or summat like that. And OoT is moderatley advanced. There are windmills, ovens, and windows with modern panes.
Hyrule was getting there.

Do you think the guns will be cool? I bet the Deku Musket will shoot some type of seed or nut that explode on impact in a little bit of fire and a lot of splintery shrapnel. Maybe gunpowder is like lantern oil, you collect and buy it? Or what if it's kind of like a gattling gun or 2 gage shotgun, you mount it on a boat or train? It would be awesome if they were like bombs in WW. A regular weapon, and an uber powerful far-range instrument of death.
What if you could upgrade it to a musket made of wood & metal, not just wood? The Iron musket, or something.
More likely, real iron musket balls.

I know the Valley of the Deluge is probably a fake, but the concept is so good I'm praying with all my heart it's not.

This "game" is everything I've been hoping for in a Zelda game: more mature story, a better fleshed out character, voice acting, steam-punk style world, inclusion of the races, more land...!

I mean, come on! It sounds so epic I could cry... of happiness.
I was really disappointed when I let it sink in that this game was probably fake, but of course, there is a SLIGHT possibility that it might be real.

But still very unlikely.

What if you could rescue drying out Zoras, and as the game progresses, they turn into Ritos?

It wouldn't be The Legend of Zelda. What if they made the next Bond movie, and instead of focusing on him being a secret agent, it was about his brother running a family deli? It wouldn't be a Bond movie, it would just be capitalizing on the title of the series, which is exactly what this would be doing. I'm not against the idea of the game, it sounds cool, I'm against it being a Zelda title.

The idea seems interesting, but I too, hope that it is fake.

It just seems so drastic to change. Even though Nintendo did mention that TP and PH was the last of it's kind, the change just seems way too big. It's like making Lord of the Rings to suddenly jumping the series in a world of the Matrix.

It would be awesome to play as someone other than Link. You've played as Kafei, why not another Link look-alike.

Pros:

Playing only as Link is getting a little old.

Cons:
People might not like it
'OoT is da best game evuh' people will freak as soon as they see the preview
The game could flop if the character doesn't have enough personality

MGS was more story driven, Zelda is strongly charactor driven, it is about Link's quest to save Hyrule, or where ever he happens to be. If you're getting tired of playing as Link, you're more or less just getting tired of the series, completly re-inventing the game won't get you interested in Zelda agin, it will just get you interested in a whole new series taking the name and charactors from Zelda.

4.Zelda isn't very character driven not by consistent characters that is.
5.Because he thinks Nintendo should stop passing of remakes as sequels doesn't make him sick of the series

8.If this is true there using Ganon, Hyrule, Zelda (probably). so using a different boy is taking all of Zelda as we know it away? It's legend of Zelda not link.
