Timeline Zelda

Who thinks that there should be a Zelda game that focuses on events in the Zelda Timeline? Instead of just making a zelda game that takes part in one section of the timeline, why not make one that plays through important events in the timeline?

Re: Timeline Zelda

I don't think Nintendo had any plan on a timeline, I think that they just saw a money maker, and started milking it for whatever they can get, but as time went on they starting trying to piece the Zelda games together, so that people would be more interested in them.

Re: Timeline Zelda

This makes little to no sense. Doesn't any game focus on the timeline?

@Grim_Reaper: There is a timeline. Hidden and confidential, but it does exist.
All of the Zelda games focus on only one part of the timeline but what about a SUPER Zelda that plays through the WHOLE timeline?

Does that make more sense?

I have to agree. But I may change my mind later.

As for the topic, *Ahem* I'd like something more like Zelda mythology. The origins of it all.

Yes, I believe tMC was kind of like that, in that it explained where the green cap came from, but I want an earlier game that explains the part of the hero talked about in tMC who first worse the green tunic. (And I'm sure it can go even farther back than that too)

As for a game that jumps around in the timeline? I don't think so. One of the cool aspects of Zelda is that each game stands alone as its own, idividual title, but they can all be pieced together like a puzzle in itself.

Re: Timeline Zelda

When the creators make Zelda games, they don't focus on the timeline, trying to make connections through ALL THE GAMES. Yes, they do make connections to like 2 or 3 Zeldas, but not for all the Zelda's to link together.

Us fans create timelines that link the games together, but....what im trying to say is that the creators don't work with a set timeline, they justmake games, and make sequels to certain Zeldas.

Re: Timeline Zelda

It'll never happen, because that would end Zelda. Timeline Zelda would shut out new games.

Well a SUPER Zelda(that's what im calling it now) could link all the Zelda games together and tell us what happens between certain zeldas (Like the flooding of Hyrule that takes place between TP and WW).

Yes well that right there, WW is a sequel to OoT. But what im sayig is that the Zelda creators never intentionally made a timeline that links all the zeldas, they made small one with 2-3 games in 1 timeline, but there isnt 1 super timeline that the creators made.

Yes your idea would be neat, but it's very unlikely, and mind you, it would be very very very long, way too long of a game.

Is there such thing as a WHOLE TIMELINE? No, just a current one. See? Plus, that would take all of the fun out of Zelda Theorizing. Those guys have no day job :3

I think he's incinuating an OoT remake.
