(one of) My boss ideas. Any thoughts?
Well, since mah tablet didna arrive today, I instead take this boss out of my eventually-will-be-done game idea.
After a certain point, go out into the main Hyrule Field to meet the Shadow dungeon and its boss. The field is around twice as large as the one you fight all the Mounted Bulpins on in TP. First thing's first, this will be a fairly long read. Second, a list of some of the things Link has had to have acquired in the game idea I take this from as of the time you face this boss. Note that the game takes place on Hyrule ,then Termina later, and this is the Last dungeon in Hyrule: Zora, Goron, Gerudo, Deku, Occoca, Rito, Freebooter, Twili, Yeti, and Minish Transformation Masks Zelda's Soul Mirror (lets you play as Zelda and Sheik by making Link go into the mirror to let Zelda out). This counts as the Sheikah transformation mask since you can play as (an admittedly more feminine-looking) Sheik. Mask of Shame - Allows you to increase your weapon attack speed and power based on your kill number, but too much killing with the mask on reduces those to absolute minimum. Single Claw/Hook/SpikeShot - Combo of the three, lets you latch on to even more things than usual. Fluid Distortation Device (FDD) - Lets you use the wii motion controls to control some liquids and gasses (Seems useless, is incredibly useful). Freebooter Sack - Allows you to pick up things like weapons and armor from enemies. Boomerang, Bombs (normal, water, crawling, and Bombchu), Bow (+Fire, Ice, Wind, and Acid arrows), Iron Boots, Ocarina of Life - No explanation needed. Lens of Truth - Ditto Flint - Allows Link to light a small fire without wasting MP (Yes, MP is back). Mirror Shield - Functions Like it did in the twinrova Battle. It can absorb any projectile attack, and absorb as many attacks of that kind as you wish. When you press a button, the attacks are released in one powerful blast. You cannot absorb 2 different kinds of projectile, and the power is released immediately at 10 absorbed, which is usually an instant kill. Yes, it also reflects things. Now, the actual boss facts: Vile Shadow Dungeon - Spotsylvania Spotsylvania is fought on Hyrule field. Instead of being inside the Shadow dungeon, it is the Shadow Dungeon. It starts raining, and there is an earthquake, when you begin the battle. The trenches seen in TP appear the whole way around the main field, cutting off all exits. It is basically an enormous torso and head, pitch black with red lines, made of solid iron. It is able to move due to magic. On its back it carries a Keep (huge tower). Outside of it is the first stage of the battle. Spotsylvania is surprisingly quick, and goes at about the same speed as you do. Its huge swipes have the longest range of all the attacks in the entire series, and do up to 7 hearts of damage. Out of the keep, arrows will constantly fire, and many Moblins, Bulpins, and a couple Darknuts and Iron Knuckles will climb down on ropes. Spotsylvania can pull trees out of areas of the battlefield (ones that are about 5 times Link's size are about the size of its hand), and throw them at you. Now, how to beat it. You must get out your Single Claw/Hook/SpikeShot (referred henceforth as CHSS) as a MINISH, and fire onto one of the ropes, climb up, fight through literally thousands of enemies, get down through one of the most confusing dungeons in game history, and defeat a challenging second boss, all whilst the dungeon itself is a living monster bent upon crushing you to smithereens. It is easier than it sounds, since... wait for it... DUM DU DU DU DUM!!!! You get to play as the Fierce Deity/Oni Link!!!! Yes, the Fierce Deity is in this game. This is one of the only places you can play as him until the endgame, when you unlock the Fierce Deity Mask. That only makes it somewhat easier, though, believe me. Walkthrough on this Boss: 0. Right now, you are still normal Link 1. If you try to approach it right away, you'll be annihilated, so keep away, and get on Epona, who appears after 2 Minutes. Don't even try to fight the army coming out of it. 2. After 5 Minutes, you transform into the Fierce Deity. In this form, you can still use all of the items, they're just much more powerful and faster. And his ride (Epona) gets a bunch of jewel-encrusted armor and an aura of golden light. And speed. 3. Start by firing Acid arrows at the beastly thing's arms from a distance. Spotsylvania can still overpower you, so continue to flee for now. 4. After a fair portion of damage, it will start to use the tree throw much more often, this is your cue to begin approaching. 5. Use your speed to ride around to Spotsylvania's back and slice the large crack there with your fierce sword. 6. RUN after one slice, as Spotsylvania jumps into the air and lands facing you. This will INSTANTLY KILL YOU if you are in the radius of the landing shock wave. 7. Spotsylvania will become covered in Iron Knuckles holding on to its outside. You need to fire acid arrows onto an iron knuckle several times before it dies, and because Spotsylvania will get a more advanced AI every time a slash hits the crack on its backside, you will likely need to fire many, many arrows to get a reasonable hole to appear. Once you have a hole, hit the Arm point you can see through the hole with many acid arrows, and Spotsylvania will become possible to approach. 8. Run forward, slash, repeat. 9. After 5 times getting hit, Spotsylvania will collapse for about a minute. Run forward through the masses of enemies, and use your CHSS to grab hold of one of the ropes down the keep and climb up it. You can fight with one hand while climbing with the other, in order to kill enemies on the ropes. DO NOT WAIT. Spotsylvania will get up after a minute. 10. Without giving too much away about the Shadow dungeon, let me say this: it is weird. The dungeon itself is trying to kill you, so walls may jump out, floors stretch in order to make holes, ect. I will not reveal the dungeon map or anything like that, I will just say that once you reach a certain point, your Lens of Truth becomes the Lens of Faith "A Mystical item that can change the universe based upon what you see." (Item description in box that comes up). The Lens of Faith works like the Lens of Truth in Many ways. It allows you to see things that really are there and see that some things really aren't. However, this allows you to press a button to switch the things that really aren't there to being there, and the ones that are there to not being there, and back, at will. When you do this, the things that disappear (that should be there) are seen as a wireframe and do nothing to affect the game world. Some things may also turn green while in Lens of Truth mode, and they will disappear when you press a different button. Once you go through a few mazes and puzzles, you come to the other part of Spotsylvania, the Soul of Spotsylvania (which is basically a different part of the same enemy. The Soul of Spotsylvania... Think Gannondorf fighting with the sword at the end of TP, but less stupid. There's not much I can say about SoS. Defeat him with your superior swordsmanship and then, cutscene! Spotsylvania lets out a moan and sinks up to its Keep's top into Hyrule Field. You can now enter the Shadow temple from Hyrule Field at any time. FAQ: Q. What signifigance does Spotsylvania play in the Story? A. I cannot say right now. Q. This boss seems hard! A. It is meant to be hard. There will be multiple difficulty settings, however. Q. Can you save in the battle. A. You can do a partial save, where you begin exactly where you left off, but your save file is deleted after you start once more, so you have to save again for real, or else your progress is all gone. Q. Will you have illustrations in your full idea? A. Maybe. Q. When will your full Idea come out? A. Some time in the future. Q. Cake or Pie? A. PIE! ![]() Well, any thoughts?

Re: An idea for the most incredible boss in any game, just for Zelda!
This idea is pretty cool. I also had the idea of a boss that was also a dungeon. This also seems to be very long. Some parts of it seem to be a little too long. Other than that your idea is cool. The developers should really be putting more thought into their bosses.

I think that boss is fantabulous.
The one thing I would have made better about TP are the bosses. This boss sounds cool and hard. 'Specially like the idea of it being in the field. ^ That post doesn't exist.

It is a cool idea but it sounds really really long.
