Fairy Helper

It would be nice to have it back. I loved to c-up enemies to get their names and info.

Yeah it was a really great feature, me and a friend were talking about how we missed it in TP a year or so ago.

Re: Fairy Helper

lots of people complained about that as it being "an in-game walkthrough on how to kill every enemy in the game", and people didn't like it cos it took away the difficulty.

i'd like it again yeah, as long as it was just info about the enemies, as in background. none of this "try hitting its eye!" making the obvious even more obvious lol.

Re: Fairy Helper

No, the game became to easy with that feature. Before the 3-D games came we didn't have that and we shouldn't need that know

Re: Fairy Helper

Well, 3D worlds come with much more angles of exploration and more missable things. Besides, mostly the C-UP ability only told you info on the monster not how to kill it. I felt totally uninformed in TWW and TP about the monsters names and such.

Re: Fairy Helper

Maybe it could go like

Big Skulltula (TP)
A spider that has dropped from its ceiling. Its razors are very hard!

And no sound effects. No Hey! Listen! And none of Midna's laugh or that would have gotten as annoying as Navi.

Re: Fairy Helper

Hmm. . . I'd like to see a re-implement of the Gossip Stone from tWW. I thought it was cool

Simple-mindedness aside, a helper often adds comic relief. That I like too!

well, in the 2D games, the most complicated way to hit a common enemy was to get behind it. its a bit different now in the 3D

but i think it would be fun to have a helper that just told you information about the thing your fighting. it doesnt even have to give clues as to how to kill it, just simply give some background on it

Re: Fairy Helper

I didn't like the Fairy helper because of the annoying 'hey's and 'hello's and 'watch out's. like when you lock onto ganon 'Watch out'. hello big demon thing trying to kill you with 2 big blades.

Yeah... and to also learn the names of the enemies. I completed TP and only knowing a couple of the monsters' names: Dinalfos, Lizalfos, Poes... lol is that all? Oh... Darknuts (off the forums).

Re: Fairy Helper

I do not need nor want a helper. Midna often took all the strategy out of TP with her auto-jump feature and the fairies were completely unecessary. They had their time and places to be active. Navi had to help pioneer the new target system and Tatl was there to nod to her. Link has always had a companion, but if the formula doesn't radically change, I see noneed for a yapping NPC buddy in the future.

Re: Fairy Helper

As has been pointed out several times already if the fairys do return (which I personally hope they do) they should simply give you background info on monsters and not tell you how to beat them.
