I am tired of everybody setting themselves for a disappointment

I have been hearing people use Miyamotos quote about "TP will be the last of it's kind" and would like to remind people that this quote was released before the wii mote was released and before TP was moved to the wii. I hope people will stop using that quote as a meaning that the whole Zelda series is going to have a huge change, because you will probably set your self up for a disappointment. Now their might be a change but do get your hopes up from that quote.

Tired? Why are you tired? The more this drags on just means the greater chance that you'll get to LOL at those people in the end. Why would you want to stop that?

Because I don't like people nagging about how Nintendo lied to them when it was in fact their fault in the first place and not Nintendos.

No, I don't remember hearing this until after TP came out.

Hai thar =3. I made a thread on his quote.
Seriously, dude-- let some of us interpret the quote, for goodness sake. I like to analyze (and overanalyze) everything around me, so it's natural of me to want to discuss the quote and interpret the statement as declaring a form of (drastic) change for the series. Why not? A lot of us are hoping for this anyway. And why would we nag about how Nintendo lied? What does Nintendo have anything to do with this? Miyamoto was the one who spoke. Even still, why nag Miyamoto for simply trying to interpret what he said?

Just wait till the title is announced. We'll then see who misinterpreted his words.

BTW, thankyou for providing a decent source of the quote.

I just trying to help people and it is not just you but a lot of other people. (It was never directed at you specifically) Look at TP and you see people getting hyped over that like no tomorrow and the end everybody complained because the did not get what they expected.

Eh, relax. Some people enjoy hype, others do not. You apparently do not. But I do. And speculation, hype, buildup--for me it's never disappointing because all of that is half the fun anyway!

I doubt Nintendo will ever take a step further to advance their stories. It's unlike them. Complaining doesn't get the job done either.

They're going to keep the basic Zelda layout, but obviously they're going to add alot more that wasn't so much "of zelda" in the past.

Re: I am tired of everybody setting themselves for a disappointment

Hopefully we'll get more sidequests and an online multiplayer. That's all we want!

Re: I am tired of everybody setting themselves for a disappointment

online multiplayer is a no. It just wont work out, and the Wii isn't powerful enough to generate such a widescale game online.

Re: I am tired of everybody setting themselves for a disappointment

i think we all want longer, but not like PH
aka this game is long because you're being forced to replay parts.

long doesn't have to be do temple after temple, though i like that idea.
SIDE-QUESTS!, these are very important in my opinion, and are scarce in zelda's.

also, very important and i'd love to see this
playable after the end!, like fable

i want to be able to kill ganon, save hyrule, save my game,
then go back and explore hyrule again, finishing quests, collecting things
and maybe "that shop that wasn't open during the game" is now open, kinda thing.

EDIT: rofl the first time i typed "gannon", sorry people

Re: I am tired of everybody setting themselves for a disappointment

zantdarksage YOU SAID IT! (two thumbs of for zantdarksage) I would love something like that but I also think Nintendo should stop trying to make story-line out of their games as they just aren't that good at it. The reason why SNES was such a success was all the 3rd party support like Squarsoft. If not for them the system would be sunk.
