New Zelda Rumors

I was surfing on /v/ today and found that not too long ago that there was a thread in which the OP was talking about how he was helping working on E3 this year (he said July 15th-17th) and listed a few new titles. He said he was looking at some paperwork in his boss' office. There were several games he mentioned in his post. One of them was a new Zelda game called "The Legend of Zelda: Valley of the Deluge". In another post, he wrote about the game's story. I'll post it in his own words:

"The story doesn't actually concern the Hero of Time as you know him. Not the reincarnated spirit of Link, at least. The game features an adolescent who is not actually the reincarnated spirit of Link, but believes he is. I know little of the plot, but I imagine it concerns his attempt to fulfill himself through adopting Link's persona and attempting to save Hyrule. How the Master Sword will fit into this is unknown, but Ganon is the central villain. According to the synopsis, several of his powerful followers have large roles and may even encounter Link multiple times throughout the game. I'm uncertain of this, but I believe the "valley" may simply refer to all of Hyrule."

And another post:

"Kind've like Majora's Mask except with guaranteed destruction. I can picture a stormy scene about 2/3 through the game: hundreds of Hylians migrating to mountains in the hope of surviving. Maybe the Hero could navigate the flooded canals of Hyrule via a boatfull of Zoras and save people while the waters rose in real-time. That would be pretty f****** awesome."

Personally, I don't know if it's true or not, but I am VERY skeptical. Thought I should post it here anyways. By the way, I did not make this up and am not the one who created this. I wasn't even there for the original thread, so if you want more information, this is all I currently have.

The title is too sucky to be real. But it sounds like if it is real this takes place between OoT and Wind Waker. Migration to the mountains anf the title's use of valley seem to indicate this,

I doubt this is true.

It probably is fake, and I have a screencap of the opening post. I'm sort of a noob so could someone tell me how to post pictures?

Sounds like good fanfic though.

I tend to not trust anything that comes from 4chan, regardless of what section it's in. I mean, come on, we're talking about the same site that claimed that Willem Dafoe and Adam Savage died only a few days apart. I highly doubt that this is real, especially since the backstory of WW pretty much left no room for a hero, and this game clearly would fall between OoT and WW. In fact, it's probably not best to believe anything that one hears about Zelda until E3 where Nintendo will (hopefully) announce the next title.

Edit: To post an image, simply click on the button that's a picture of a mountain above the posting area and insert the URL to the box that comes up.

If the guy swears in the post then I'm pretty sure its fake...but that's just me...cuz in any post of a new Zelda game, none of the Nintendo staff swears when they are talking about it.

That's WAY too much information. In fact, when TP was first shown at e3 (back then referred to as "LoZ05"), there was not a single word on what the game would be about.

But you never know. I remember that the title "Twilight Princess" was leaked way before the title was announced. A lot of people did not believe "Twilight Princess" would be the real title.

The post also has information about other "future" titles, and I could upload it if anyone could tell me how to post images saved in your computer in your post.

Oh, well you can't post things directly from your computer. What you can do is upload the pic to a free image hosting site, or hell, you can even upload it to your photo album right here at ZU and then use the "Insert Image" button above the space where you write the message to copy and paste the URL into the message box provided when you click said button.

Again, it's most likely fake so take it as you will.

It's simply hard to believe that an e3 staff member leaked info via forum as anonymous.

Well, I think here that the guy giving out the information isn't calling himself a representative of Nintendo, but rather just someone helping out at E3, in which case he very well might swear.

Anonomous-- It's fake. Besides, The zelda team design the game before they design the story, usually. They wouldn't have the story down this quickly, afterall, it hasn't even been really in a year of development, if any at all. Plus, look how fanfic that Ganon looks!

Actually, I don't think he ever specified whether his first post's picture was official artwork or not. From the look of it, it certainly does look like fanart.

I thought that was his/her avatar =S. It looks like Wind Waker Ganondorf fan art.

well even so the title could be changed.

but anyway this sounds interesting but i think it might be fake
