Link in Different suits/armors

In any new legend of zelda games for the gamecube/wii, should link be able to wear different suits or armor that gives him different abilities? In Link's Awakening, he could choose between a red suit that gives him power or a blue suit to give him defense (these r only towards the end of the game).

If you want to give a suggestion, don't keep it to yourself, please.

Maybe for more replay value, they could make it so you could unlock more outfits
AND they should have the rito, goron, and zora armors

Indeed.
That or make new kingdoms, and be able to buy their cultures heroes tunics.

To quote myself...

Link is also different in this title. As with previous titles, Link starts off with clothing different from the one he'll wear throughout the rest of the game. However, the clothes he dons afterwards will no longer be a green tunic. Instead, it's a mixture of various types of clothing. For example, on his feet, he wears Greek styled sandal-boot hybrids, complete with bronze (yes, bronze) shin guards. His gauntlets will remain mostly unchanged except for the bronze bracer and closed fingers on his sword arm (whether or not Link is left or right handed is up to the player). On both shoulders, he has tight leather pieces of shoulder armor. His shirt is a tunic-style robe, similar to a Chinese robe, but shorter and with no sleeves. On top of this robe is a leather breastplate. Link doesn't wear tights in this game. Instead, he wears a pair of knee-length pants. Also, no more hat. Instead, he has a bronze crown-like headpiece.
Personally, I think it would be cool to have Link wear something other than the basic tunic that we've all come to know and love.

But it would definitely take away from the character. After so many games wearing the same kind of outfit... it's like changing Mario's trademark red overalls.

Re: Link in Different suits/armors

i'd love more tunics, i was even happy when he had a purple one in SCII lol. in fact, i would relaly love more than green blue and red. the subtle changes eg the zora armor in TP are perfect in my opinion, just have more. maybe five?

Re: Link in Different suits/armors

yea, a bunch of different tunics with distinct powers would be awesome. and i think they should do the same with swords too. like, have it not so one sword is "the best" perse, but that 1 has great damage, but poor range. another (like biggoron's sword) prevents you from using a shield, another is weaker but lets you make quicker strokes, etc.

Twili Robe - Black robe with Twili patterns. Lessens the amount of magic you use when doing a spell

White Tunic - Like a bulky fur coat and long hood. Helps protect you against cold attacks and lets you go into cold areas like the goron tunic does

Gerudo armour - Light mail and plate armour used by the most elite gerudo
